AVOID! BEWARE! I'm changing my review from a 5 star to a 1 star after working with and doing work for Able lock and key for nearly 8 years. I was not only a customer but I also did work for them working on there computers and helping out where I could when needed. I was never an employee and she was never my employer. With what I have learned about this business I couldn't sleep at night if I worked there.

The first thing you will notice when you walk into Able Lock and Key or browse the website is that there ARE NO POSTED PRICES. The owner controls every facet of communication with her primary locksmith if you try to talk to him to ask a question she will but in rudely. This is because she controls the conversation and sizes customers up on how desperate they are and what she thinks they are willing to pay.

For some services I have seen customer's charged anywhere from $50 to $200 FOR THE EXACT SAME SERVICE. Several times I suggested getting a standard point of sale system that we could just program the prices into and anyone could run the store. She told me point blank that was impossible and admitted she charges people more based on if she thinks they can afford it.

As a result she does not trust anyone to run her store and when she is not there she locks it up as she trusts no one else to run the store. This is why you see so many comments about the business being closed during normal business hours while she is out in a call. God forbid that someone not be charged the maximum amount possible. If you get an estimate from her you better get it in writing.

I saw customers that where quoted verbally $150 for a job get charged over $300 without warning. Also beware of her positive reviews when she receives negative reviews she will tell people that she will do the work at DEEPLY discounted rates in return for a positive review until her average rating comes up.

Best price in town if you need locks to be re-keyed just bring them in

Im not too sure its recommended to go here, there was no one at the shop and was told that someone would arrive in 15 minutes. That was acceptable, but service was mediocre, I just need some some key pins for two locks and the Lady talks it up that its some difficult task, just 5 key pins for a kwikset lock, nothing high security or anything special.

Even the people at the big box stores can handle this task. I would recmend going somewhere else for some decent service and more reasonable prices. Also appears to have quite a lot of five star reviews from fake accounts on here.

Honest, professional and reliable local locksmith 50 years in the biz. I suggest you have any and all information on the product you have and the service you need. They do it all including car lockouts, key programming, chip clones. They also sell safes, gun lockers and repair work.

Critical: Professionalism I tried this company and they told me I needed the code from the dealership as our key was chipped and could not be driven. We got the code and she tried to change to price from 90 to 165, her employee backed me up but she said no now 165. So annoyed and not ethical. Services: Car key copying, Car digital & remote key reprogramming

After looking at their website, all I could find is their phone number. I finally called to see if they had a physical address. I then drove to the location. The person inside had broken English, but was able to find a key blank that worked. The cost was $8.50 for a very small simple key. There are NUMEROUS customer unfriendly signs all over the place stating no refunds for cash sales, all sales final, etc. they are literally plastered everywhere!

Definitely not a customer friendly environment. I should have know it was going to be expensive when I saw Costco brand bottled water for $1.85. ($.25 at Costco vending) When she told me $8.50 for the key ($3.50 Home Depot) I said "WOW" then she went on to tell me about expensive freight cost, sales tax etc. Credit: she did have the blank, and it does work, but be prepared to pay dearly and hope it works when you get home.

I had my own custom flip car key and they were able cut it for me when no other place in town would do it. The older lady that works there is super helpful and sweet. I will definitely be going back.

I went into able last week and this lady Susan is one of the rudest business owners I have ever met. She is impatient and brushes you off if the service you need is only worth a couple dollars. These reviews are fake. She gives people a discount or free services if they give her a good review to make up for all the horrible ones. I dont understand how she is even still in business with an attitude like hers. WORST LOCKSMITH EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. 0 STARS IF I COULD.

Definitely the best service ever! While I waited they helped me to rekey 5 locks and soooo awesome to me. All keys worked perfectly and prices were outstanding! Will def use this lock service again and highly recommend them! You will not be disappointed! Amazing! A++!

Had a key that I took to several places who were unable to duplicate. Able Lock and Key were not only able to make it for me the sweet lady that did it for me drove out to meet me after hours to get it done. This wasn't even an emergency and I was only getting 4 keys made. I'm very grateful for their service!

This company is very reliable and convenient. We had a bad key, everyone kept turning us away do to the condition of the key, no one could duplicate it. Able lock key did it for us very fast and the price was just right. Good place to call when your in need of a key repair.

I've been using this company for years for my rental units. Today at 8:15 needed a locks rekeyed, door is locked and call the business number NO answer. No hours posted on doors? I do not have to wait and guess what time they open!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SHOP! I took a lock into the store to be re-keyed to match my key. I was told "come back this afternoon" by the little Asian woman "Susan" 3 days later they still don't have the work done and the lock is with one of her technicians on the other side of Vegas. At 11 am she tells me to come back at 5 pm because her guy is "far away to bring" I sure wish I had checked her first. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SHOP!

Wow.what a nightmare.if I could give this place ZERO stars I would. Took some special order keys that were REALLY expensive for my car in to get cut and the moron Korean lady that evidently is the owner cuts my ignition key from the trunk key, which OF COURSE screws off my expensive ignition blank so she takes one of HER 50 cent key blanks and makes me a copy of my ignition key and says that she will pay me for another set of my blanks and that the one she cut was no charge. Ordered the blanks and went in with them and the receipt and the Korean lady wants to cut $5 off the price because ALL OF A SUDDEN she wants me to pay for the 50 cent blank she gave me because she was too STUPID to look at what key she was cutting.at the beginning though she was telling me she wanted "Her" old key back. WTF?

I told her there is NO WAY I was giving her a key to my car. This lady has NO business sense AT ALL and I would rather cut my keys with a hacksaw than ever patronize this place again. Final note, I got the ENTIRE AMOUNT back from her only because I'm a waaaay bigger asshole than she can be a cheap idiot.saying "its not fair" the whole time. Call ANYBODY ELSE but this place!

We were so very pleased with the service we received from Able Lock and Key. They were the ONLY ones that were on time at our new office building. We were given an honest quote and even though the installer and the owner were there for several hours and even came back on Monday, they charged us WAY less than anyone else quoted us! The project ended up being a lot more than we thought we needed, but the installer just set up shop and diligently worked on re-keying almost every lock, and we had 34!

The quotes that we received from other companies in no way compare to the cost we ended up paying! In our opinion, Able Lock and Key do not have any competitors in Las Vegas or Henderson! Thank you for making this difficult process a very smooth transition. I called to get a new car key because my car key broke in half and the lady was nice enough to give me a quote and send someone out to fix it and it all went downhill from there.the guy is testing my new key out and he's ramming the key into the ignition and jarring the starter on and off.the force he used to START the car was ridiculously uncalled for.

So i pay close to 200 dollars for the new key, which doesn't work to open the door and start the key, i now need two keys for ONE car, to end up with a key that doesn't work. the next day i had to ARGUE with the owner, Susan or Suzanne, who didn't want to speak to me after a 30 minute conversation and being called a liar, only to send her technician out to me, 6 hours after the phone call only for the man to tell me, he messed up my ignition with a pin or something and had to replace it. if a customer calls and asks for assistance repairing an item that had no issues prior to the service your company provides, don't call the customer a liar and fight with them nor do you tell them they don't understand when clearly, YOU DON'T, worst service provider ever, especially in a 24 hour city, customer service means more than availability! PICK ANOTHER LOCKSMITH~~~

They say they take care of automotive locks but in the woman's exact words "if you lost key for motorcycle we cannot help you". So they only deal with malfunctions? Do all people call locksmiths just because they are bored with or they get tired of their locks or they malfunction? No, many call because of lost keys so Able needs to step up their game and learn how to change locks without the customer having the key. Not very polite or helpful at all!

Tried calling these guys, a Woman answered the phone. I told her I needed to know if they could have a Locksmith to my house the following morning to change 5 locks immediately after my tenant moved out.

I was locked out of my house called Able lock and key. They sent over a locksmith named Martin. Services is very good and fast. I would recommend anyone needing services should call, I know I will if I have a repeat of this experience, Kudos to the services.

Had a midnight lockout. They showed Up to the house in 20 mins tops. The price is fair. Martin is very respectful and professional. Glad I found them on Google.

I congratulate the fast service offered to me in the morning was 3 am and the service was fast and at a good price, locksmith sent me to confirm msj and 20 min was there, very kind to open my car trunk.

I went in yesterday to get a key made and 2 people behind the counter talking. I politely waited to be acknowledged. After about a minute I tapped my keys on the counter and no one looked up or said anything, I did it again, still nothing.
