This is our first year using Rasmussen Landscapes, and they have been GREAT! They are doing our weekly lawn maintenance, monthly weed service and fixed my pesty sprinkler system, and now it works. The crews are great and the work they perform has been excellent, and the office personnel are the best to address our needs. I highly recommend them.

Horrible company. It's signed up with them as a Christmas gift for my parents. The first snow they didn't get there until after my parent' drive had been shoveled by a neighbor and they still charged me for it. I'd asked them not to salt the drive because my parents have a dog. They salted anyway. Then instead of emailing me the bill or just paying with the credit card number like they'd agreed, they sent my parents the bill! I had told them multiple times that this was a GIFT. This place is really bad.

I am so thrilled with the service I received from Rasmussen Landscapes. My lawn has been killed by a service company and was frustrated with their solution to try seeding. I wanted my beautiful lawn back now and called Rasmussen. The crew came and dug out the old lawn, put down new top soil, and new sod all in one day. It is gorgeous! Thank you to the crew for doing such Fabulous job!

We just recently have started using Rasmussen Landscapes this summer. After several years of trying to find a company that was responsive, and professional I contacted Rasmussen for an interview. We couldn't be more pleased with their services, the team that has been assigned to our property is extremely professional, skilled, on-time, and responsive to all our needs. The guys who come to work on my lawn are fantastic. They are always friendly. They are efficient in their work. They save small plants (rose bush, for example when noted). They always pick up toys left from animals and kids in the back yard without asking. Thank you for your help and support. Also, any questions or concerns are answered in a timely manner.

Great service! The crew was responsive to problems - one of our sprinkler lines broke during the work and the company sent out an irrigation crew straight away to fix the problem. The clean up crew worked quickly and completely to finish the job. They were pleasant, asked questions instead of just pulling things out of the beds and, best of all, cleaned up COMPLETELY after they finished. We'll be hiring them again for fall leaf clean up for sure.

Horrible service and fraudulent billing. Hired them for 4 hours of quoted work, their team showed up and did almost nothing for first hour, ignoring the obvious areas. Didn't finish the work we asked, contacted corporate (as not allowed to discuss with on-site workers per their contract), asked them to finish the work (did not authorize additional charges, although they are lying and said we did). Followed up multiple times to dispute billing, they didn't address the issue and charged us $945, on a quote of $780, for less than $500 of real work. Terrible company, avoid like the plauge.

I have been a customer for a couple of summers now. I have come to depend on them for sprinkler upkeep and fertilization and biweekly mowing. I recently had them come out and clean up a strip of ground along my driveway and put down wood chips. They were prompt and worked in a timely manner. I also completely appreciate being able to communicate well with the office staff staff. they always seem to be willing to listen and make me feel like my concerns matter. Can't ask for much more than that. I haven't compared their pricing to anyone else's, but have been happy with their work.

I used Rasmussen Landscaping earlier this year for a spring clean-up. The yard looked great, but it took WAY too many man-hours for the job at hand. This was only clearing out flower beds and turning over soil. No trimming, no pruning, no mowing, no planting, no products installed; just clearing out the leaves, weeds, and other debris from the winter. I'm not entirely sure how this could take a four-man crew all day long.
When I called the office, they just confirmed the hourly rate and total hours. I paid it, of course, but will not be using Rasmussen in the future. My bad for not giving them a max limit, but I never dreamed this task would take almost 30-man hours!

I worked for this business for several months and they are wonderful! They really do everything they can to help customers with their yard needs. Customer service is excellent and they really do listen to you and do whatever they can to make you feel good about the services you select. They are also very knowledgeable about the business and can answer any lawn related questions you may have. Their landscaper and master gardener are excellent, friendly, and very experienced. I highly recommend them if you are in need of lawn services.

My wife asked Rasmussen to provide lawn cutting services back in late 2016, they never showed up so we hired some one else. We figured if they couldn't show up for the first cut that it was a big red flag. Fast forward 4 years and there is a collection agent looking for money on their behalf. I'm not sure why? We never received service or even an invoice.
I did contact the Rasmussen office directly by phone to give them a chance to explain themselves. Their response was that the billing occurred in an older billing system and they no longer had access to the account and that I should deal with the collection agency directly. Totally unprofessional outfit, this is no way to do business.

They showed up early. I hired for two separate residences. The work on the residence that I was physically at while they worked was done so-so, leaving lots of debris that needed raked. My second residence did not even appear to have been touched other than a few less leaves. For $700 this was not acceptable. I will not use Rasmussen again.

Wish I could give zero stars. I signed the on-line weekly lawn care agreement on Oct 17. I never heard back. I called and was told I would get a call about the schedule which never happened. I called several days later and was told I was on the schedule for Oct 28. Again they never showed up. Because it was bad weather, I waited again for several days and still got no call and no service. Foolishly, I called and set-p Fall Clean-up on Nov 5 and at that time asked when I might expect my first lawn service.
I was told it would be that day. Again, nothing. I received a call the next day asking to set-up the Fall Clean up day, which I had already scheduled with someone else. Again I asked when weekly lawn service would occur. I was told there was an objective in my front lawn and so the crew left without cutting the backyard or cutting around the object (a sink from a counter that was being replaced and in the yard for less than an hour).
They didn't bother to come and ask if they could cut the grass or if I would move the object. The service agent on the phone said they had cut the grass on Oct 28, which I disputed. He asked me if I could prove they had not done the job. How do I prove something didn't happen? He said he would look into the my account and get back to me, which has not happened.
Please save yourself the aggravation, go somewhere else. I used Rasmussen in the past and was satisfied, but something has changed. Customer service is terrible and not trustworthy. I will be canceling future service with them.

They sent 5 guys out and only one spoke very broken english and it was very difficult to communicate with them. So I did most of it myself. They did pull some weeds and lay down landscaping tarp but all the weeks are now back because they just took off the top parts and didn't spray, which I asked them to do. They laid landscaping tarp in a 8x8 foot bed and charged me $135.00 for the landscaping tarp. Which you could buy yourself for about $12 for 30x30. I had a 2 hour block and they were only concerned with passing those two hours and not working. Rasmussen then tried to charge me $750 for the work.
I questioned the invoice based on what we initially agreed upon and they did reduce to $570.00, which is still over double what we originally. I begrudgingly paid because it was that or deal with collections, which they threatened as a next step. I couldn't believe the lack of customer support, willingness to find common ground, and overall ineptitude of this group. I know they are a large organization but I will do everything in my power to ensure that no one I know ever uses this company again. Absolutely terrible experience.

Don't do business with this company - trust me. Save your time and go elsewhere. I wish I would have read their online reviews before I called them, that would have saved me so much time and hassle. 100% would NOT recommend. I don't like giving negative reviews but my experience was awful. We signed an estimate and proposal on May 29th for Rasmussen to mow and trim our lawn.
A week passed since we signed the paperwork. Nobody had showed up to cut our lawn yet so we called Rasmussen on April 5th. They informed me their crew would come April 14th to cut our lawn. Fast forward to April 14th. Rasmussen didn't come. We hired Rasmussen's at the suggestion of a long-term friend in SLC who knew the owners & knows our requirements for a job well done. We have a professionally landscaped yard designed by a well regarded landscape designer. This was a substantial investment that we wish to protect. Our home is rented to superb tenants and we provide lawn and garden maintenance to maintain a high standard.
Initial work was a Spring clean & spreading of pre-emergence across the grass of our small, and well landscaped yard. They did an excellent job in the front yard and the pictures looked great. However, read on for the issues in the back yard and grass. We capped the price at $550 given our knowledge of the amount of time required to do the job properly as we've done it ourselves. HOWEVER, since then the service has been awful. Firstly, pre-emergence was not spread and our lawn is now covered in dandelions and native weeds.
The garden beds were not sprayed for weeds and now must be hand weeded and sprayed. The back yard gardens were A MESS! Weeds everywhere, overgrown bushes, weeds growing through stone patios, etc. The mowing was erratic and the scheduled missed resulting in the grass growing over the beds and now requiring hand edging to re-establish the edges. The mows are expensive - $62. - for a small yard.
Our lovely tenants called us with concerns and we immediately got on it. When I contacted Rasmussen's I was told: #1 - they were changing operating systems and it wasn't going well; #2 - they were behind on our mows; #3 - no crews were available (until the following week); #4 - the system showed I had cancelled (I hadn't) but mows were billed after the "system cancel notice"; #5 - the system show we had not paid. HOWEVER, after a query with our bank we show the electronic checks had been cashed by Rasmussen's.
This raised more questions than it answered but we're choosing to focus solely on our business vs theirs. The implications are we have a family member going into SLC to work on the lawns and gardens - taking time off work and incurred substantial costs for accommodation, rental car, airfare, using vacation time - because these folks have a disorganised business.
Beyond that, this is a major time drain for me which surely isn't delivering a great experience for the customer. There is one very, very positive note. They have a LOVELY young woman named Sydney who is endeavouring to assist us. This sole caring person is making the experience tolerable. She deserve a promotion and pay raise for putting up with this disorganised bunch. In closing, regretfully I'd have caution against using this company until they can get their arms around quality control and sounds operating procedures.

This company is just bad at what they claim to do. I asked them to remove some of the drip lines they installed last year - because they never worked - check my remaining sprinklers and lines and turn them on for the Summer. They came and took out some of the lines then left. Three calls later and no return call. I had to hire another company to fix their terrible work and turn on my sprinklers. Should be out of business. Incompetent, joke of a company.

When they showed up, I informed them that the work was already complete, and the workers left. I called Rasmussen and spoke with Corrine who was rude and informed me that the workers showed up so I was still responsible for the charge.
I informed her that I cancelled the appointment in advance and she said that she had no record of this so I would still be charged. I asked to speak with a manager and she told me that she was the manager. I called a few weeks later after I e-mailed them the invoice from the company that actually did the work for me prior to Rasmussen showing up. She said that she would erase the charge.
I called a few weeks later again and spoke with someone named Elora. She said that the notes on my account indicated that the charge would be erased but that her manager had to complete this. She said she would e-mail me within a week and let me know that it was taken care of. I never heard back. I called a few weeks later once again and was told that the charge had not been taken care of.
I was once again told that they would look into it and get back to me. If you read through this companies reviews, you will find that many others have been cheated by this company. I look forward to taking them to small claims court to ensure this behavior does not continue and that others will not be cheated by these shady characters in the future.

Last year, I contacted Rasmussen Landscapes to plow my 6' wide 50' long sidewalk. they apparently take care of my neighbor's commercial property. I asked that instead of stopping, they continued plowing the sidewalk. They did this one time, and left me a half-plowed sidewalk and a 50' long sheet of ice. I documented this and immediately complained.
Soon after, I received a $77 bill. I complained again and stated I would not pay it and that they should not plow my sidewalk again, as a sheet of ice is a greater liability than 4" of snow. They called several times, including this last summer demanding their $77. I replied, "I will gladly see you in court for this matter! I don't feel comfortable paying you for the shit job you did!
I have photos and will gladly describe the situation to a small claims court judge. And. I will win." So, today, after our first big storm, I used the used Ryobi snow thrower I bought from some neighbors, and my sidewalk was clean in 4 minutes. It was not half plowed, it was fully plowed. It was also not a sheet of ice. Rasmussen Landscapes is a scam!

I now understand why their ratings are horrific. I just used Rasmussen for snow removal. They charge 90 an hour person for the service. They claimed it took 2 workers an hour and a half each to clear my small driveway so they billed me 220 dollars. They also tried to bill me for workers returning that night and clearing more snow but my video surveillance system showed there was no new snow for them to remove. The guy on the phone is very nice but the company and its policy's and businesses practices are morally bankrupt. Stay away from this company!

I have been using Rassmussen Landscapes for 5 years. If my memory serves me right, I was one of their first regular customers in the Provo area. Since the spring of 2013, Rassmussen crews have been thorough, timely, professional and courteous. I'm the husband, Harry, and my wife is always happy to know that they will be coming to serve us in whatever our need may be.
She has even paid for their service as a gift to a friend. Their office staff has always been pleasant, responsive, respectful, understanding and even flexible. I love working with Rassmussen Landscapes; they're the best in every way!

I would rate them at a "5" so far. Their prices and services have been great so far. I have received quotes from other companies and Rasmussen has very competitive pricing. I have contracted them to do just weekly mowing, trimming and edging. Very happy with their fast service and relatively low costs. Here's hoping for many years of a great-looking yard.

We have worked off and on with Rasmussen for the last few years.They are very expensive but in general do good work. It is very important to be there when they arrive such that you can give them specific instructions about what you want done (as opposed to what they want to do which is to pick off the easiest and first thing that strikes them). I would never allow them to work unsupervised.
When supervised they do good work. Billing is an issue; so write on your calendar the exact time they are working. They also show up unannounced first thing in the Spring before the grass is even growing.

We have had Rasmussen mow our lawns for many years. For the past couple they have also done yard maintenance on a twice monthly basis. I figure out what I need them to do and three guys show up for an hour and do it. If I don't specify anything, they just make the front of the house look good. The mowing is reasonable at $32 per week. The maintenance is very expensive at $125.00 for the 3 man hours per visit, but they come when they say and do what I tell them.
Just a trade-off. I am sure there are much less expensive landscapers out there, but I don't have the time or patience to deal with guys who don't show up or don't do what I ask.

I cannot advise strongly enough not to use this company. I used this company for four months and began complaining at month 2. I kept seeing their trucks around my neighborhood, so I thought they must be good. They were so slow. They were Incredibly expensive. Twice they came and I had no idea what they had actually done. I called multiple times to complain.
Finally a manager, Landon, came out and agreed something was fishy and then he NEVER followed up. After getting nowhere I eventually did my own fall clean up. I completely trimmed 24 wheat grasses and cleaned up perfectly by myself(this is not my thing, I do not really like yard work) in 3 hours. This summer they trimmed those same grasses, plus some minor maintenance, and charged me over $700. Something is wrong with this picture.

I wish I could give them no stars! They are the worst! The girls at the headquarters are snotty when answering! They never show up to shovel my 70yr old neighbors drive like they are supposed to. I end up having to shovel her out when she gets her car stuck! I'm sure the people who do all the landscaping and snow removal are lovely people, but this company as a whole royally sucks! Don't use them unless you like for them to ignore turning off your sprinklers when the weather turns cold and your sprinklers rupture. Talk about creating your own job security. Inconsistent and slow should be their company tagline.

Guess I should have listened to the other reviewers. Don't waste your time with this horrible company. They are extremely disorganized and the people who give quotes, don't know what they are talking about. I was told weekly service, including weeding and edging would be $28 for the front and back of my house (we have a really small yard).
After I sent back my contract, I never heard from anyone so a week and a half later when I remembered, I thought I would call and see what the issue was. They told me I was on the schedule for the next day. I asked what time frame so I could make sure my dogs weren't home otherwise they wouldn't let them in the backyard (we have a German shepherd mix who is protective).
She told me there was no way to know. I said a general time frame would be fine. And she just kept saying "we can't do that." I explained to her that if my dogs were home and they couldn't go in the back it would be my fault so I needed a time frame. She finally gave me one so I made sure my dogs weren't home at the time. When I got home, I saw that not only did they never even go in my back yard (gate was how I left it), but they didn't weed or edge either.
I called to complain and see what happened and they had no explanation. She told me that weeding and edging wasn't included and I was mistaken. I told her I asked very specific questions when I called (because I shopped around for pricing quite a bit), including weeding, edging and pet waste removal. All that I was told wasn't included was pet waste removal and I wanted to cancel.
She told me she would look into it and discount this week for us. I never heard from her and keep getting their voicemail when I call, but I just received a bill today for the full amount! Find a better, trustworthy company! This place is full of lazy, lying workers.
