What plumbing services should look like. Got a sink clogged, called Walt and got the problem fixed at a very reasonable price. Not like the ones you'd get from the 1800 companies. Recommended for such service. Service: Drain cleaning

This is a less than mediocre plumber named Walt who is behaves badly. He is very difficult to communicate with and will readily insult you especially if you are a woman. There are plenty of good plumbers around here. No reason to resort to this guy. People should be more honest about the way he really is. Horrible.

Walt is just great at his job with lots of knowledge and experiences. I had him fixed my running toilets and replaced my leaked garbage disposal. The work was done fast and nicely both timed and the price are just very reasonable (I might consider it low these days with plumbers). Highly recommend and will call Walt again if I run into any plumbing issues (hopefully not!)

We have used Walt a number of times in the last 20 years. We put up with all his un-solicited political opinions because he did good work and was fair. This last time is the last time I will call him. He unplugged our main drain for $100 which was ok. I asked him to look at the bathroom sink drain. He said it was ok but charged me $100 dollars for doing nothing other than running a little water down the drain. This was a ripoff.

Affordable and honest work. This is a one man business and Walt charges the most fair out of every other plumbing companies that charges ridiculous minimums 100-250 without doing any work. Walt is old school but he gets the work done at the lowest cost. He helped cleared up a clogged sink pipe for me and replaced a cracked cap for less than $130. If you are not in rush and on budget, then Walt is your guy. If you need a scheduler and can afford to pay high dollars, then he is not your guy.

Walt came out and fixed the clog in our sink ina jiffy and put back the pipes I took off and replaced one of the at cost. He's pretty busy but if you can get him to come out, you will save money. He does not take credit cards

Walt helped me fix a broken pipe to the water main. He's an incredibly skilled, honest, reliable plumber. Sure, he's his own person. He's old school. A bit hard to understand at times. His scheduling is unconventional. Overlook those small thing because you've got a pro's pro.

NOT RECOMMENDED: Beware of Walt's Plumbing : UNSAFE. The plumber (Walt?) showed up at my door without being properly masked. When I asked him to cover his nose, he responded that he then would not be able to see. When I insisted, he basically just walked out the door and got verbally abusive. It's important for both of us to ensure our mutual safety. I did my part; he didn't do his. Do NOT support this behavior on the part of vendors. STAY SAFE

I can't speak highly enough about Walt's Plumbing. He was helpful on the phone, came out when he said he would, fixed the issue and told me I didn't need to install the new fixture I had purchased. No sticker shock which was refreshing. I would give this business 10 stars and recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality, no bs, old school plumber. THANK YOU!

Walt is very knowledgeable. There was no scheduling BS and jacking up the rate after visit etc. From calling him first till the issue fixed and operational it was 1.5 hrs only can you believe. Will call him again in future. Hint: Just don't get in his way, ask unnecessary questions and waste time. Service: Drain cleaning

Both kitchen and bathroom bathtub blocked. Tried all sorts of means myself and even rented the power drain cleaner from Home Depot. But the block is too deep. Walt came on time, quickly fixed the issue. Very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

I am recommending Walt's service to anyone who are looking for a reasonable price and excellent service. I asked him to install a PRV. He came and said he can do it. He told me the total cost and how he would do. I cannot 100% understand what he is talking about on the service, but I can tell he knows how to do it correctly. My dad knows some plumbing work, and he says Walt's work is very professional and nice. Also, we ask him to repair our backyard leaking faucet.

He fixed it in a very efficient and economic way, and he did not charge us for any small parts he used. Also, Walt's price is very very reasonable and affordable, compared to the price I was offered from another plumber company. I am happy I choose the correct technician to help us.

I found Walt through Next Door from neighborhood referrals. I needed to get the master bath toilet wax seal fixed after seeing a leak in the front of the toilet. I planned to initially try to fix it myself, which was on Saturday, but the bolts holding the toilet down were rusted and I didn't have the right tools so I decided to call Walt. He answered his phone that same day and said he'll call me back during the week when he would be available to see where I was at. Walt is certainly a very interesting character, but he's professional and really knows what he's doing.

After multiple back and forth calls during the week until Friday morning, I couldn't get a firm timeframe from him so felt like looking for another plumber. After calling a couple different plumbers who had no appointments until 2-3 weeks out, I got a call back from Walt and he was able to come over just before noon. After less than an hour and a half, he got it fixed and at a very reasonable cost.

I would definitely call Walt again if I have any plumbing issues in the future. He's not like a typical business and is very old school so you'll need to be prepared for that. If you initially go through a similar experience as mine, be patient as he will call you back when he has a moment as he's very busy on jobs.

A no BS, straight talking guy. I really think Walt is the last honest, no time wasting, very reasonably price tradesperson on the Eastside. Have used him several times and cannot recommend Walt enough.

Walt's a real plumber and his prices are great. He's not one to chit chat so it's better if you tell him what you want and then get out of his way. I have had him do several jobs for me and he's always done solid work. Shows up on time and the cost matches the quote.

Thought I only needed to replace a faucet cartridge in my bathroom sink but after doing so it still leaked. Called Walt's Plumbing and Walt came out shortly after the call. Walt is somewhat quiet but he is very professional and his work is EXCELLENT! I also did not have to take out a second mortgage on my house to pay the bill which was spot on for the time spent and work done. Obviously I would definitely recommend Walt's Plumbing. Gary Mihulka

I need to replace the kitchen faucet. Walt came on time and finished the job quickly. He tested it throughly, charged me probably half of what Fox plumbing. Highly recommend him for the service, probably not as friendly as Fox plumbing. But fox plumbing always jack up the price while smiling at you.

Been using Walt for about 25 years both personally and my husband who's been in the real estate business has used him numerous times. The guy is a straight shooter, knows what he's doing, reasonable rates. We have been very happy with Walt.

Over the past couple years, Walt has unclogged toilets, drains, and pipes for me. He is quick and super-capable and very reasonably priced. Before finding him on NextDoor, I was using a retainer plumbing service, but they had a long lead time before they could come around. Forget it! Walt was there within a day.

Walt is the best plumber. He comes out as soon as he can and he gets to work quickly. He is fast and figuring out the issue. He's a little gruff but you have to get past that. He is extremely reasonably priced, honest and just wants to do the work. What more can you ask for?

Whenever I need drain cleaning I call Walt. I am glad to say I have recommended him often with good results. He knows what he is doing. Thanks Walt for being who you are.

Great plumber. So honest and excellent with what he does. Transparent pricing. Cannot be happier. Sure Walt may not be a sweet talker. But we are reviewing a GREAT plumber here. Two data points to share: 1. He replaced a T shaped section of copper pipes for me that was leaking in the crawl space in 1.25 hours total. Excellent quality. 2. He turned down additional jobs from me I order to get to another appointment on time. I think I have found my go to plumber.

I called Walt as he was highly recommended in my neighborhood Nextdoor app. He came in short notice and mitigated my insta-hot water leak quickly and at a very reasonable rate. He recommended removing an unnecessary water filter. He also informed me that to fully remediate the situation and replace the fixture will require several hours and drilling a bigger hole in the granite countertop to accommodate the fixture size.

Since the existing fixture has plastic pipes at some point they will be brittle and will probably leak and recommends doing that work when the time comes. I will not hesitate to call him for any future plumbing needs. Other folks have posted that he is gruff - that is true but he is knowledgeable, informative and helpful all of which more than make up for gruffness.

Can't comment on their service, might be great, but definitively not interested in small jobs. Just called them to install a new Sink with fixtures etc in the laundry room, but was given the 'we are too busy with large remodels' :

Walt has been our neighborhood plumber for the past 18 years. Aside from his demeanor, he is qualified and has done reliable, honest work from the usual clogs of sinks/toilets and faucet hardware replacement, to installations of disposal, sink and toilets. Yet, I was very disappointed how he scolded and insulted me on the last visit. Maybe I missed that verbal treatment these past years because of his mumblings.4 Stars for his work; 0 Stars for customer interface!

I hired Walt for another job, and again, was more than impressed with his work. I had Roto Rooters come by and quote me a price, which seemed excessive. I was right - Walt did the job in half and hour and charged less than a fifth (!) of what Roto Rooters quoted me. I'm so happy I found an honest reliable plumber who does an amazing job. Can't imagine hiring anyone else in the future!

I had various people install all-new countertops, sinks, faucets, etc. in my kids bathroom. Unfortunately no one saw that the old location of water valves and drains obstructed the pop-up drain rods in one of the faucets. They suggested that I move the plumbing at significant expense. Walt's Plumbing was recommended by the Keller Supply warehouse in Redmond.

Mr Walt Gillespie simply used a set of pliers and a hacksaw to cut down parts of the stainless assembly until it all fit. He's a very nice, soft-spoken guy. Thank you for saving me time and $$ with a non-invasive solution to my plumbing problem.

I hired Walt' Plumbing for three different plumbing issues in my home here in Bellevue. I am calling him today to schedule another repair due to my neighbors above me in my condo leaking water into my main bathroom.

Just called him to repair sink. He said he was too busy to come today. I asked when he could come. He said he was pretty busy. I asked if he was just disinterested in doing the work - and he mumbled something and hung up on me.
