I was way overcharge for changing the wax seal on my toilet flange that was leaking on 2/24/22. Bill was $345.00 for just replacing the $3 wax ring seal. Normal cost $125.00 Guarantee for a year. They did fix it but job was priced way out of orbit!

Critical: Value Paid $299 for someone to come out and tell me they could not fix my shower problem. I have never encountered any company that takes money without providing any service. Stay away--I can't stress enough stay away.

I was given a window of 1-5pm. I spent the whole afternoon waiting. At 4:30 I asked for an ETA, but all they would tell me was I was "next" and the technician would call me. At 5:30, I cancelled, because I assumed the service would take at least an hour and I had dinner plans. I understand that sometimes jobs take longer than expected, but the company should have reached out to me with accurate information once it became clear they were going to late. I don't have time in my life for this rude behavior.

After looking at 4 different companies for my AC repair, I decided to work with JG and couldn't be happier. The other companies tried to sell my on things I didn't need and JG was honest and provided an option that fit my budget and also resolved my problem. They were very upfront with cost and what was needed for my repair, honest, clean, and very responsive. I highly recommend them and will be a customer for life.

Joe and his team installed a whole house water filtration system and a scale inhibitor system for our tankless hot water heater. Joe is very knowledgeable, very professional and is very patient in making sure you understand everything and in answering all of your questions.

Back in 2015 this company forced me to pay for a part for my outdoor AC unit. For 6 years and several calls to find out what was going on, I got no return call or answer. In 2017 after their technician rigged my unit it burned out. I had to have another unit installed. I'm now having furnace issues and my roommate called these crooks to come out to fix it.

When speaking to them today, I was told they can install the part I paid almost $300 for 6 years ago into a unit it doesn't belong in. They pretty much stole my money and said oh well you lose. Sad in this day and age there's so many companies like this one.

I've had the company come to my home three times for the same issue and it has yet to be resolved. Each service man tells me it's a different problem. Additionally, when contacted for another problem I was told it would take an 1/2 days work to fix the problem, and the supervisor would contact me with a quote. The supervisor never contacted me and when my contractor called regarding the same issue he was told it was an easy fix and the service man could have fixed it during that visit. Extremely disappointed in their service and will be forwarding this review to the BBB for further investigation.

I have used this plumber since I moved to south Philly in 2006. They are dependable, able and fairly priced. Also friendly! You should feel confident with them. Be aware there is another Joseph Giannone plumbing, make sure to use the one on Juniper.

I have been using Joe Giannone for almost 30 years. Joe is professional, patient and honest to a T. He has done work for me ranging from a drippy faucet to replacing my water service. My first encounter with Joe was when I was referred to him by a contractor doing work for me. I had bumped the old lead service and it was leaking. I had just bought my home and was not in the position to replace my service. Joe never tried to sell me a new service and was able to repair the service for $100.

This repair held for a few years until I could afford a new service. I am often hesitant to recommend trades people as I feel their performance will reflect upon my reputation. However I have been happy to recommend Joe many times over the years.

It's been quite cold in Philadelphia these past several weeks, so when my 40+ year old heating system's expansion tank failed on Sunday and all the water drained from my radiators, I was a bit panicked and quickly became cold. My PGW Parts & Labor Plan won't cover any component of a heating system that is connected to water, so I had to call a plumber.

I got several recommendations from friends whom I trust and called on Martin Luther King Day. Because of the cold, plumbing & heating demand is very elevated, but Joseph Giannone found time between jobs to come out, assess the situation and identified instantly not only the problem but the exact part and manufacturer. He called the supply house on speaker phone in my presence. Unfortunately, the part -- an expansion tank with kit -- was not in stock, but rather, was on order and actually in transit.

To my good fortune the part arrived the next day, I had a phone call from the company and a price quote, as well as the option to do the job the next day (today). The plumber who arrived was polite, knowledgeable and efficient. He verified the price quote before starting, explained the job, and set to work. When he left several hours later, there was no trace he'd been here. and my house is toasty warm after only about 30 minutes, after three days with no heat at all. Obviously, every experience will be different -- sometimes unexpected problems arise -- but I will not hesitate to call this company again, and will recommend it to my friends, should the need arise. HORROR STORY! Giannone tech dismantled my heater and refused to put it back together. Showed pictures that did not match my heater. Several professionals stated they saw no breach. Took two weeks to get a professional to put it back together.

Questionable pricing practices. Shop around and you will be better off.

Good service with smart technicians, the owner is a good guy and I look forward to working with him in the future.
