This is pretty long but so was our bathroom remodeling job. I'm listing the problems in order of seriousness: Didn't shut off water when connecting new vanity and ruptured a pipe damaging our nearly new carpeting. Removed carpet protection to dry out carpet. Subsequently the painter tripped and dumped a pint of paint on the carpet which also splattered across the bedroom damaging the bed comforter and pillows.
He tried to clean up latex paint with turpentine leaving a reeking smelly mess. Had to call in a disaster recovery company to salvage the situation. Touch up done with wrong paint finish so the room had to be repainted. The shower tile not level for glass door installation. It took 20 weeks to finish from start of demolition when they estimated 6-8 week job.
The contract front-loaded payments so no incentive to finish. The vanity was missing two drawers. They never ordered handicap grab bars nor the door. When shower was "finished" the hot water limiter was incorrectly installed so there was no hot water making for a cold first shower. Since there was no dumpster, trash accumulated and wasn't promptly picked up until we complained sometimes multiply.
From the beginning and through the whole project, there was poor communications about what would be done when, including showing up unannounced and not showing up when they said they would.

Thank you Legacy! We did a full house remodel over 4 months including kitchen, laundry, 2 bathrooms, master bed, addition of a walk in pantry, and full house flooring. The team was great to work with (especially Scott and Floyd) and although there were supply chain delays (due to COVID), the staff kept us updated and in the know. We did not feel nickel and dimed, I enjoyed working with their suppliers and subcontractors (except Spencer's for appliances- avoid them at all costs!), and most importantly the finished product came out GORGEOUS!

In this long review I want to give you an idea of what we went through. Our remodeling project consisted of a new kitchen, new master bathroom and new entertainment center in the Arizona Room. Based on the significant dollar investment, our expectation was high level of quality in materials and labor, and meeting schedule commitments. Legacy Design Build Remodeling overall met these expectations.
They accomplished this by following their advertised process which consisted of. (1) Project Analysis which was to really understand what we wanted to accomplish and discuss what that means to us in time and cost. They explain their process and we met the key people that would be involved in managing the project. This initial step really helped us understand the full scope of work and funding that our wants created. (2) Pre-Build and Permitting Phase was our most enjoyable because this was the design phase of the project.
We were fortunate to work with Jeremy, who had particularly good design ideas. He spent as much time as we needed until we had acceptable drawings. As part of this phase, we decided to use the vendors that they recommended. It turned out to be the right decision. We selected all the cabinets from Solid Cabinetry which is a Phoenix based cabinet manufacturer.
What we got was high quality custom level cabinets at a production manufacturer price. We were able to go to the manufacturing site and select what we specifically wanted in style and color. Next we went to ProSource to select our tiles, trims. We worked with Katie who is a fabulous designer. From there we went to Hughes Supply where we had a great selection of plumbing fixtures, cabinet handles, etc.
We worked with Kare, a great designer and extremely knowledgeable about pluming products. We then went to Arizona Fireplace to select our new fireplace. We got exactly what we wanted. Finally, we went to The Yard to select our countertops. What a superb selection they had at very reasonable costs. This was 3 days of enjoyable shopping, learning about different styles, functionality and product quality. (3) Building is the demolition and construction phase.
In this phase they assigned a Project Superintendent who, on a daily basis, managed and coordinated the construction schedule, workforce and oversaw work quality. If you are familiar with construction projects, you know that nothing goes totally as planned. So we had our share of minor delays, missing materials and redoes and some frustrations. The great news is Craig, our Super, handled everything, kept us informed and at the end we had what we had originally deigned for and wanted.
While the management team was first class, you don't get quality deliverables if the hands-on works aren't good. Well Legacy has the finest Master Carpenters, Cabinet and Iron works people I have ever met. Floyd, our Master Carpenter, who installed our cabinets and did other trim work treated this project like he was doing his own home and his wife was looking over his shoulder.
He checked, measured, touched up every cabinet, cabinet door and door handle until it was 100% perfect. We were satisfied with the quality a lot sooner than Floyd. (4) Closeout is the final walkthrough which went quickly and easily. The main reason is that Ritch, Production Manager had everything 100% complete. This included the Punch List (of only 5 minor items), the financial reconciliation and a completely clean, painted and polished areas that was the construction site.
Now we are enjoying our remodeled home knowing that we have a 2 years warranty for anything. You just can't go wrong with a company that ensures quality of workmanship and products throughout their process which includes the vendors and subcontractors.

The Legacy team was fantastic! We worked with Legacy through various remodels over the last 24 months. COVID hit in the middle of construction and they continued to be reliable, professional, careful and excellent. We worked with several different team members and they are all really great. We are happy with our projects - excellent communication, quality product. I know how hard it is to find great and reliable contractors, I wanted to share it with everyone that Legacy was terrific. Highly recommend.

Had a very good experience with Legacy. Did what they promised to deliver in the time they estimated. There were a few unknowns to deal with along the way but these people are problem solvers and they figure out options. New extension and master bath, new office/bedroom and new guest bath. Particularly like the the attention to dust control throughout the project as we lived through it in the house. Nice work from the main crew, Ritchie, Jacob, Jeremy and Floyd. Very happy with it. I'd use them again.

My husband and I hired Legacy to remodel 2 bathrooms, 2 fireplaces, a new sink and Island Kitchen counter and a Kitchen back splash. We did a lot of research before deciding on Legacy. So glad we chose them. The entire Legacy team, Brian, Jeremy, Debbie, Ritchie, Jacob, Floyd and Scott were professional, and extremely good at their various responsibilities.
The subs they use are the best! Their tile guy, Saul, worked with Marble, glass, and a penny floor.and was a true artist with each of the tile surfaces. Excellent quality for the money.

Remodeling a 35 year old home is not for wimps! Especially one that no one has lived in for 5 years, but Legacy was willing and able to take on the project. Our home turned out just beautiful! Special thanks to our very skilled superintendent Jacob, who was so patient and always explained things well to us, and what our options were, and handled all the subs and changes/revisions. Ritchie our calm project manager who was one call away, very responsive, and keep us informed our the progress, timeline and budget and never missed a meeting. Jeremy was great to work with on our kitchen design, and our architect Eric Spurlock, who came up with a beautiful design for us. We are very pleased with the quality.

I would highly recommend Legacy Design Build Remodeling for all your residential remodeling needs. They built a large enclosed back patio in my old house in 2012 and did so in a highly professional and timely manner. The patio is now an excellent selling point for this home. I'm now in a new house which needed a thorough renovation before I could move in.
I had Legacy do all the extensive remodeling which was timely completed this year and I can tell you I'm extremely pleased with all of their planning, customer service, and construction work they performed! This is a professional organization who employs the best of the best. I was most impressed with their interior designer, Debbie Nagle, who spent numerous hours helping me select flooring, cabinets, bathroom fixtures, and paint colors. Her very knowledgeable advice helped me in so many ways to make my new house into a real home.

From the first meeting with Brian to the end of my remodel I had excellent customer service. Jerry, Debbie, Jeremy, Ritchie, and Scott are a great team. I remodeled my laundry room, powder room, study, master bedroom, master bathroom, and hallway and I LOVE it! So much fun working with Debbie and picking out flooring, cabinets, countertops, etc. Jerry was the Supervisor and always kept me updated on what to expect when.
Their craftsmanship and attention to detail made this project easy and painless. I would recommend the Legacy Team for any of your remodel projects. You won't be disappointed.

I work closely with Legacy as a vendor and can attest to the quality in the products and the workmanship in their projects. I am always impressed with the before and after photographs from their clients and the beautiful designs and installations. I would recommend Legacy to anyone interested in remodeling any part of their home.

Our Project Superintendent Jerry Thompson was by far the best superintendent we've worked with. His dedication and attention to detail were spot on. Several of the issues were taken care of by Jerry before we had to bring it to anyone else's attention. I would recommend legacy for your future remodeling projects. The out front scheduling process is one thing that could be improved overall most of the sub contractors were pretty reliable.

We did a major remodel of our house with Legacy and they were great to work with. Professional, courteous and most important they did the job right. Debbie was amazing and patient. She and helped us find the selections and colors that gave the house a modern look and matched our tastes. With folks like Jerry and Ritchie overseeing the work we really felt like we were in good hands. Thanks for a beautiful remodel!

We could not be happier with the outcome of our kitchen and bath remodel. We are almost a year after the remodel completed and are still beaming with pride. Pride of ownership renewed! Legacy did everything possible to ensure we were satisfied even when unexpected things surfaced. Our design team (Gene and Debbie) were amazing and made our vision real! James went above and beyond to ensure quality workmanship. Our sales team (Brian) made us feel like family

This company comes across kind and professional, and they are for the most part, but beware. For smaller jobs I think they would be awesome, but if you need a big project such as multiple rooms or additions or in general multiple modalities required for said job, you might be best going elsewhere. The finished product is beautiful, it usually is right?
Anything new is beautiful. All I can say is thank heavens for warranties. Problems everywhere starting just a couple months after completion. For $300,000 you'd think it would be done right. Where is Mike Holmes?

Legacy Design Build Remodeling practices a tried and true formular for success-quality, workmanship and deliver what you promise. Their quality products, design recommendations, and attention to detail are outstanding. Our kitchen remodel was preformed on budget, work was done timely, and is of the highest quality. Derek Chase was excellent to work with.
I particularly liked the way he kept me informed about the schedule of who to expect at my home, the time they would arrive, and what they would be doing. I never felt as though I had to initiate communication about status. The work crew was very good about cleaning up the work area each day before they left. I highly recommend Legacy and would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks so much for the great work!

Buyer Beware! Please do your research before entering into any work with this company. I hired them to give me a home redesign plan that included the following: - Design plans for high, medium, and low price points - Budgets/cost projections for each design - Architectural plan for each design I paid $3000 in October 2017 and now almost 5 months later I still do not have a product that I paid for.
They did not deliver three plans but could barely design 2. My mother and I had to constantly remind them of items we wanted in the plan even though we emailed all details to them. They failed to make scheduled meetings and they could not provide designs outside of the existing footprint of the existing house. This is ridiculous. We moved forward with another company for a kitchen redesign plan and within 48 hours of paying, we had a consultant at the house, and plans for the kitchen that night!
In addition, I have researched this contractor on the Registrars of Contractors and they are not even LICENSED! They have had their licenses suspended and in the process of applying for new ones! When I asked for a refund because after 4 months and no product I want my money back they shared that they would give me my money back as they met the terms of the agreement. So, please do your homework with this business.
They do not honor their work or word. Make sure to have your lawyer review all contact information before entering into any work with them! I would recommend you go with another company based on my experience! Beware!

On the recommendation of a friends and family and talking with a few contractors, I chose Legacy to complete my kitchen remodel. I was glad I did as no sooner had the project started than extensive mold issues were discovered. This brought the project to a halt that was truly unexpectedly as mold is not that common in Arizona. It was due to the expert advice of Legacy's project contractor and general manager and the contractor who completed the mold remediation that solutions were found to a complex set of problems that ensured passing Quality Environmental inspection an a livable space now and in the future. Oh and did I mention I love my new kitchen!? Legacy and especially my project contractor gets an A+ in my book. Deborah G

I would think twice before contacting Legacy Design Build Remodeling. Do your research and read as many reviews as possible! Our 3 month remodel was to start 12/1/2014. We had one person show up on 12/15/14 and they did 2 hours of demo work. We did not see another person until 1/12/15. They left us over 170 days without a kitchen. Legacy is still NOT finished with our job.
We have contacted the R.O.C. and they've faulted them for 14 items for poor workmanship. We are now going on almost a year dealing with this nightmare. Do not waste your time or energy with this horrible company! They are overpriced and hire poor subcontractors and have poor employees doing the work in your home. They are now trying to charge us for items that we paid for, work that was never performed and money they have already received.
