October 2018: My company, Lund Management Services has been using Spruce Cleaning Service for the past five years to clean our rental apartments. I set up an appointment for the "owner" - Luda to come to my house to give me an estimate. The appointment time was set for 12:30 on 6-5-2013. My husband showed up at 12:30 to find the Luda already there. When he talked to her, he had a difficult time understanding her because of a thick accent. That aside, he finds out that she had already been inside our house while NEITHER of us was there.
She said the door was open and people were inside so she went in. Well, there were people inside because we are having the floors replaced. They had no authority to let her in, but all I can assume is that where she comes from this sort of thing is acceptable. My husband didn't even get the chance to walk around the house with her to explain to her what we wanted cleaned, she just said she looked around and would have her assistant call us to give us the estimate.
I promptly called the company and spoke with Stacey to express my unhappiness. Unfortunately for her, she got the brunt of my frustration, however I told her she needed to explain to her boss that walking into and around someones house with out the owner being there is unacceptable even if the door is open. I also told her that we didn't even want the estimate from them because if today's actions are any indication of the kind of company they have we never want them in our house again.
