Service for my faulty LG battery replacement was good, but the new battery LG provided didn't work and need to be replaced again. This was not SolarTech fault, but after waiting 8 months for the LG warrantied battery replacement we're back to square one and waiting for another one. It's time to get money back from LG and go different direction. SolarTech should get the full refund and install different (WORKING BATTERY-Tesla or equivalent).

If you have solar panels and a pool, get solar heating! We got ours installed this past Tuesday, the water temp went from 77 degrees Tuesday to now at 92 today Sun. It's 77 degrees outside and the pump is spitting out 94 degree water. We didn't have a gas line to our pool equipment so this was our best and only option but I wouldn't have it any other way since the only cost is the install. Pump runs during the sunniest/warmest part of the day but since we have solar panels, no additional electric costs for us. Win, win! Kevin and his crew did a good job with the install. Kevin was responsive with my requests which I really appreciate. The pipe route is exactly how I wanted it and it's done nice and clean. We are swimming almost every day now!

Pete Baker (Great guy) came to my house and sold use a SwimLux Pool Solar System. Pete was a no pressure sales person, honest and up front with you. Our old system had to be replaced and our new system was installed on 6-16-2022. Robert Emery and his associate did a phenomenal job with removing our old pool heating solar system and installing a new one! Robert is extremely knowledgeable and did a great job installing the technical equipment. From start to finish they were prompt, professional, and showed me an illustration of how it will look once completed. I highly recommend this company. Anthony & Laurie

SolarTech Installed my system 7 years back. Still if I have any issues they are very prompt in responding. Just got one of the optimizers replaced. Since it was still under warranty, the work was completed at no charge.

I went through solar techs reviews before I made my decision to use them, reading all good and bad. Let me tell you every negative review was pretty much what I experienced from Jason bull lying about about saving me 4k. He signed me up for the wrong plan. Then said I would have to have my credit ran again to make the change. Installers installed panels carelessly dropping and dragging panels on ground leaving deep scratches on panel frame. Sent pics to solar tech.

They came back and spray painted scratches. While inspecting my roof I couldn't believe the installers would leave ALL there mess on my roof. I found all there cut wires, zip ties and cut aluminum on the roof and the ground. I called and spoke to Grant and this dude literally made excuses For his crew. He passed me over to Charlene who was supposed to meet me on a agreed date and time to do a walk through and she no-showed.

I called back on Monday just for Charlene to lie saying she must have sent the cancellation to a different email. Charlene and I have been speaking the whole time via text/phone. She lied! I started with them in February. Inspection was passed 5/11/2022. They sent me an email saying in 2 weeks things would be finalized. It's 6/11/2022. I haven't heard one thing from solar tech. that is until I left my honest opinion on how unprofessional and misleading solar tech has been a few days ago and finally.

I get a response from lily there project manger. Not one apology from her. Steer clear from this company. They do not communicate. The installers are lazy and unprofessional. Speaking with them over the phone is comical. Nobody takes responsibility over at solar tech. They just take your money. You've been warned curious customers! Beware!'

A few weeks ago, a wrote a review for Solar Tech and David Baca, their representative. The review was quite critical of their service. Since then, David Baca and Solar Tech stepped up to correct the issues I had with their service. In fact today, Arturo Diaz came to my home and corrected the problem. Solar Tech did reach out to me finally - the day I posted my review. Their explanation for the lack of response after so many months was because of workflow issues and Covid. If they were backlogged and having staffing issues all they needed to do was just return my call and let me know they were behind and I would have understood. I was tempted to go with another company but decided to have Solar Tech do my repair because they were already familiar with my pool solar system.

They purchase the company who originally installed it and they expanded our system several years ago. They did send a crew out to do the repairs very quickly after they finally reached out to me. The crew was very polite and they did a good job. I also received several follow up calls from their management who were very concerned about my 1 star review.

I am updating my review from 1 to 3 stars because they did finally respond, apologize and did a good job on the repair. I hope they spend as much time improving their customer service as they did showing concern about my original review.

Joaquin and his partner were amazing. They arrived on time, did a terrific job of troubleshooting our solar system's problem, and efficiently fixed the issue to my great relief. In addition, Joaquin was very patient and carefully explained not only what was wrong with our system, but also took the time to instruct us on how our system works, what the various codes and readouts mean, and how to monitor our energy output and use.

We had issues with the original installation of a very large system for our HOA. However, SolarTech technicians uncovered the problem, and it was completely corrected within days. We have found SolarTech to be an honest and reliable partner in managing our electrical power and solar needs.

Pros: --Our sales rep Eric was very responsive and great to deal with --The pricing was competitive --Seems like they did good work, but time will tell --They were able to do both electric and pool solar, so we just dealt with one company Cons: Internal and external communications need to be improved. We booked the work well in advance of moving to our new house on Monday, April 11.

Originally the job was booked for April 11, then we were told Tuesday April 12. I emailed the project manager and she confirmed the installation was going to start on April 12. Guess who showed up on April 11? SolarTech. It worked out but it was a very hectic day for us (actual day of the move). Further frustration in that I called the project manager once, and she didn't call back, and then I tried again and her voicemail box was full.

To compound matters, the crew that was here on Day 2 said they would return the next day to finish some electrical work (for example, my pool pump wasn't working because they had reconfigured some circuits). When they didn't show up on Day 3, I called the office and that crew was on another job! I told the office they needed to send someone out to finish the work, but then the crew that was coming out here really had no idea what needed to be done to finish the job.

I had to tell the Day 3 crew leader to call the guy from Day 2 to get the full story. I ended up complaining the Operations Manager--he listened to what I had to say and agreed they kind of dropped the ball on the communication.

All work was started and completed on time, professionally and neatly installed, and immediately operational using my preexisting pool/spa remote. My pool is now 80+ degrees by noon, and remains perfectly swim able through the evening without any gas assist!

Their representative Ali was a pleasure to speak to each time we connected. He was informative, not pushy and helped make the decision making process easy. We were in between 3 different companies but in the end we decided to give our business to Solar Tech because they know what they are doing. I'm confident that our system will be great for years to come thanks to Ali and the team. Thank you again for such a pleasant transaction.

I could not be happier with SolarTech. I shopped around and SolarTech was miles better in value even compared to other Sunpower dealers. Ask for Ali - he's incredibly responsive. From quote to installation. he's on it. My panels are in producing well over my needs and I couldn't be happier to be off the grid.

The only reason why it's not a 1 star is because they were easy to work with. At first. We have yet to receive our gift card for signing up with solartech even after multiple attempts with the sales rep. The install went fine. At first. The installers ended up tapping into a plumbing line which caused a leak that Solartech didn't want to fix, so I had to go through my insurance.

I originally used Solar Tech for solar install 6 years ago and the service was good. I needed my roof replaced so the panels needed to come off then put back up. I was not expecting the cost to be so high but let me say sometimes you get what you pay for. Paul was very up front and professional. The crew that did the removal and install was on time and easy to communicate with. I even opted to add some more panels. Excellent work for a fair price.

I had Laura stop by and give me a quote for my solar panel project at my home. She was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable on the products they offered. Although I did not choose this company to install the panels, I would recommend them just because of how polite, knowledgeable and professional the salesperson was when I spoke to her. They do not talk down to their potential customers like some other companies.

This may be a wonderful firm but we were unable to use them. Reason: read the fine print in their contract. They will tell you that they have $2 mil in insurance, but the contract itself has a limitation of liability clause (what you can collect for damages) of "the value of the contract". In our case that was $3700 quoted for a solar pool installation.

It is easy to do more than $3700 in damage to a home if something goes wrong during installation. We asked that the contract be changed to a limitation of liability more reflective of the insurance they carry, or at least to something reasonable (such as $500K), and they flat refused. Accordingly we are looking for another company.

We highly recommend Solar Tech for your solar needs. They came to the rescue when the original solar company we contracted to work with closed its doors and left us stranded with panels on our roof that were not connected and no service upgrade to support the system. Paul, the Solar Tech Service Manager, worked with me throughout the entire project.

He made sure I understood what each step entailed and sent qualified technicians to upgrade our electric panel and connect the solar system. He was patient and supportive with every phone call and email. He needed to update the permit and work with both the city and SDG&E to complete the installation. There were a few hiccups along the way as Solar Tech was picking up a project that was already started.

Everyone from the receptionist to the technicians to the Project Coordinator was helpful and knowledgeable. The whole team had a "Can do!" attitude. Thank you Solar tech for a job well done. I am so impressed with this company!

I've recently installed the pool solar system with Solar Tech. They did an excellent job on getting done within one day with quality work. This is my second project with them after installing electrical solar system about 5 yrs ago. Their quality and warranty is awesome.

First I start by saying I had a great experience and would definitely recommend SolarTech as the go to company for anything Solar, Battery or Roofing. This wasn't my first time getting Solar and I thought I would had gone back to the previous company I had worked with to get my solar project done but wanted to get several quotes first. I contacted them and was in touch with Ali Lbrahim. Ali did not try to up sale anything and was available at my convenience.

He would take all my calls and answer question even after hours. After several back and forth with some other Solar Company, I felt that SolarTech was the best in price from the beginning unlike other company who wanted to beat or match my quotes after the fact. Having someone like Ali to address all of my concern and questions was a big part in my decision to move forward with SolarTech.

My project wasn't a small solar setup and it included Solar Panels, Tesla Powerwall and also Pool Solar. Right from the beginning of the project, we ran into issue that wasn't related to SolarTech but was handle and address by SolarTech without any issues. Starting with my pool solar, they did a super clean job on the piping. My pool company said it was one of the cleanest setup they saw.

They and I was impress. For my solar Panels I worked with Uriel Vargas who explained everything in detail and did an excellent job. Him and his crew was very professional and left everything looking more clean then when they got here. To finishing up on my Tesla Powerwall which was extremely complicated because of the layout of my house. Julio Garcia the lead was working in the rain the night before Christmas Eve to get the power in my house back up.

I could tell him and everyone was exhausted but they keep at it to everything was up and running perfectly before they left. With these type of hard worker and the commitment I saw. I would without a doubt recommended SolarTech. They went beyond my expectation

I recently had more panels added to an existing installation by SolarTech. I was glad I picked them the first time and felt the same about the upgrade. The crew was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and picked up after themselves. While they were here I asked the foreman a few questions about solar charging for EVs, and he had a lot of knowledge on the subject.

I appreciated their current technology understanding. The only issue I had, which they solved, was that during the installation, they had not determined if I had cathedral or attic-based ceilings. I have cathedral ceilings and they punched a hole into my dining room ceiling. I caught it before they drilled more and told them what was happening. They came our later and repaired the hole. Great job from start to finish.

Very glad we found SolarTech to help us with our new PV system. From our initial contact through to full city approval every one we've dealt with has been competent and courteous. When the city inspector came to review and approve the final installation I asked him what he thought of our system. He stated that he's never seen an installation that's been done as cleanly and professionally as our SunPower system.

It further reinforces that working with a tightly integrated company and one of its recommended installation firms helps prevent the hodge-podge approach I've seen from many others.

Tommy and his crew were awesome. Knocked out the job in 3 days with 22 panels and a SunSolar Battery back up system. Wish my Sales guy Mark was a little more attentive and actually followed through with his statements. Have a couple minor issues that I'll need to deal with the offices to get corrected.

After several years of debating solar power amid rising costs for electricity- it was time to take the leap! After meeting with several companies I finally met with Laura from SolarTech. She is knowledgeable, informative, honest and very accessible. Anytime I thought of another question I would send out an email and had an answer in minutes- am even on the weekend!

There was no one else I met with that was as clear and honest about what my needs are, time frame and cost out the door. After I selected them they wasted no time. I had every contact info for anyone involved and things went exceptionally smoothly. I wish everything else I have done went so well! They are a great organization and I would highly recommend this company.

I would not hesitate to say that they are the best in San Diego. I had some crazy upsells from other companies and Laura explained why it wasn't necessary to add that kind of extra cost. It was a wonderful experience.

DO NOT under any circumstances use this company! We are currently in the middle of a solar panel installation with them and it has gone horribly wrong. Late in the afternoon on November 8th, 2021 a SolarTech employee was making the final connections from their solar equipment to our electrical panel and shorted out at least two circuits. This sent 220 volts down normally 110 volt circuits burning out all of our equipment and devices on these circuits including our furnace and smart thermostat.

The most egregious thing of this whole incident is SolarTech, particularly Grant Magoffin and Charlene Reed, have left myself and my family sitting in a tinderbox that could go up in flames any minute due to their non-responsiveness correcting the electrical hazard their company created in our home.

I was recommended from a friend that is very demanding and critical when it comes to customer service and superior workmanship from contractors. From the first contact with the Sales person "Laura" to flipping the breaker it was smooth as silk. I had a good understanding of the process and what to expect, therefor didn't ask to many questions.

I didn't need to because Laura covered all aspects of the process in easy to understand language. The company was in constant communication with me via text and or emails. The installation team was in and out in one day! Eighteen panels installed on my Southeast facing roof, the connections and wiring to the main power panel/fusebox. They cleaned up and hauled away all the packaging and any other garbage related to the install.

Every other contractor I've had on the property typically leaves roofing, framing nails and sheetmetal screws that cause flat tires on my vehicles. Our experience was top notch. I was in the repair and service business for 10 year and understand that some customers are never satisfied, no matter how much you try to resolve an issue or concern that they have/create. It's a two way street.

Note: Not sure the system puts me in San Francisco, but I'm in San Diego, CA. I'm writing this note in case it helps somebody as reading the reviews from everybody helped me to decide. Obviously, I can just described my experience with the people I had the opportunity to work with, but your experience could be different. I've been wanting to get Solar for the past 4 years, but after taking to sales people from different companies, and based on what I had been researching, I didn't feel they were looking for my best interest, it was more one what they were trying to sell me.

While talking to my neighbor, he recommended me to talk to Ali Ibrahim from Solar Tech as they had had their installation for the past 2 years with no issues and they were very happy so far. I contacted Ali who asked me what I was looking for over the phone and then scheduled a meeting to discuss the options face to face. During the meeting, I was able to express my concerns and ask my questions, which Ali responded very clearly and provided all the information I needed.

Let me make a point that I never felt pressure to sign anything (like I've been with other companies). Ali, let me keep the information and send me more via email. After back and forth (even during weekends and late evenings) he responded and clarified my doubts. At the end I decided to go with the option I though it was best for me, a loan for 19 panels for a 6.84kWp and a 14.4 kWh battery system.

After signing the contract, Ali kept me updated on the process and when things were going to happen. Site survey happened and the date of the installation came probably less than 1 month after signing. That day Tommy and his crew showed up early in the morning and spent the next 3 days doing the installation and answering all my questions (I'm known to ask many questions).

I was surprised that the installation was done, even before that the loan was funded (it was already approved), but I was not worried as while talking to the loan company they confirmed they knew what was going on as they were in constant contact with Solar Tech and all was good. Solar Tech came back in less than 1 week after the installation, once the city and the Power company did their checks and got me approved, so it took me less than 2 weeks to start using solar power and to be off the grid.

I can say that this is one of the best experience I've had with some installation and the service after that. I think I took the right decision and I hope the service going forward is as good as during the installation. Regards, Luis

Uriel and his team did a phenomenal job with removing our old pool heater solar panel system and installing a new one! Him and his team even removed the old and ugly white vertical pipes on the back of our house and installed the new ones on the side of our house in a hidden spot. All of the employees were punctual, professional & friendly. We are extremely satisfied with the outcome and can't wait to begin enjoying our pool year around. STAY AWAY! They come across as nice & professional (sales rep Dave) but only care about your money! Dave came to our house & confirmed that our current electric system was good & that there will be no issues with installing a new solar system with 17 panels. No due dilligence, even their electrician confess that they overlook problems and are told to install no matter what, the customer will deal with problems after installing! now we have paid and still cant use our brand new solar system which was installed by SolarTech over 4 months ago. In a nutshell, you can't trust SolarTech! So, save your time & money and CHOOSE ANOTHER SOLAR COMPANY

Jason Bull sale person as bad as can be, sold me this system with the promised of $11000 cash back, while in a meeting in person he forward me a contract of 34 pages hard to read in cell phone, once i was able to see it full contract was a federal tax credit not a rebate. RACIST AND UNPROFESIONAL come to see the job because of the complain I did, as you can see on pictures, dirty work, sidewalk was never fix, electrical pipe is expose on the ground, panels arrangement was not as we agree and non of those support post has protective end caps, plus missing 2 panels? they design this way different to what we agree. support post are or crooked, look like they are falling. during the walk Mr Grant make a comment saying what do I expect it is Mexican work. up to now not sure what he meant with that.

I am not Mexican, so not sure if he refer to me or his worker who did the job either way very offensive and racist. Worse Installation I ever seen. just see the picture and if that is what you want call this company.

So far this company has really provided excellent service. The solar panels are working well, and when I discovered a leak in the water pipeline, they were very responsive, repaired the problem immediately, and honored the warranty. I would highly recommend this company.

Customer service is overall friendly. However, the process and set up for us went badly. They also told us since we were referred, our friends would get $500. Now they won't give the referral money to our friends. My husband says they cut corners and had to come back and fix it when SunPower addressed the connectivity issues. They missed their inspection appointments and kept rescheduling us and then cancelling. I've asked the manager or owner to call me twice but he has not.

I don't think he's getting our messages. I wish we went with another company. We liked a different company in Oceanside but only went here so our friends could get their referral money. It's been over a week now and second time asking for the manager to call me. No one has tried to contact us. Update: 10/31/21: still no call from the manager. I've asked twice for a call to the woman that answers the phone. She said he would call for sure. It's been three weeks now. Also Travis, I've called with my name and number and address. I haven't heard back.

Earl installed the 7 panels and explained everything in detail regarding the valves and panels as well as the warranty. Solar Tech joined with swim joy is a winning combination. I'm looking forward to a much longer swimming season thanks to everybody's knowledge and skillful work. Thanks again

SolarTech did a great job installing a home solar system and a pool solar system. Great staff, courteous and efficient. They explained everything clearly, answered all questions and were quick to respond to any questions. Particularly helpful, was how they explained the app used to monitor the system. Our initial meeting with Ali was straight forward. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped us through the process of determining our needs.

When we selected a solar company, we looked for one that provided complete service for all aspects. We received a call telling us our panels were generating power but not reporting. THEY CALLED US! They had two techs here in nothing flat. They worked very hard and explained what was happening and how they planned on repairing it. It was a several day process and the techs followed up, the service coordinator followed up and everything was excellent. We highly recommend!

I'm happy with my experience with SolarTech. The pricing was competitive for top of the line panels, my interactions with the sales rep and project managers were pleasant and professional, the installation was fast and went without a hitch, there were no significant hangups at any point throughout the process, and the final installed product is working well as advertised.

I started my solar journey a couple of months ago getting various quotes. Ali with solar tech was by far the most knowledgeable about their products and honest with all of the costs. He was able to coordinate with a couple of different roofers as well giving us various quotes as we needed a new roof. He made the process as easy as could be. Solar Tech Showed up on time, after a pleasant experience in setting up the appointment, tech easily and efficiently restored our system after a system inspection. Paid One flat diagnostic fee which was worth every penny. I Highly recommend them. Their Technician was very professional, polite, and knew his stuff! This Solar Tech experience was refreshing, especially after we had called another company before, which came out and took us for a few hundred dollar ride without even diagnosing anything, all the while doing terrible and rude jokes and touting himself like God's great solar gift to earth.

Very happy with our solar installation - we used SolarTech for both PV (electric) and pool solar. From the initial consultation with Ali Ibrahim to the contracting process (we changed our mind on some of the design elements mid-stream and they handled without issue) to the final installed product, we are very happy. Solar is a big investment - and SolarTech's pricing was near the top end of the 5 companies we got quotes from; I chose them based on quality of product and warranty, communication, professionalism, and flexibility with the design/final materials. No hidden fees. No bait-and-switch. The final install is exactly what we laid out on paper.

So far the panels I purchased have been nothing but problems. SolarTech just blames SunPower for the issue and does little to fix the problem. I have lost MONTHS of production and still the answer I get is that it will be fixed next week and next week NEVER comes. I have never had a worse experience with a product or customer service. Thanks to SolarTech I have an expensive roof decoration that does NOTHING.

We have had 6 bids from many companies locally but none of them could be compared to the bid and the top quality panels we received better The Panasonic, plus the best warranty with a reputable company that has excellent reviews. We need assurance and quality with our solar choice and thanks to Ali Ibrahim he provided us with all our needs and we are excited to have solar especially since the heat wave and we are home bound due to my Husband having cancer during this pandemic so we can't go anywhere to keep my Husband safe.
