If you want your appliance fixed in a professional and timely way, DONT call this company. Their repair team is unqualified and they do terrible work. I do not recommend Diamond Factort Service.

I called needing a refrigerator repair, but since they only had one man covering a large area, they said the earliest appointment they had for me was in 11 days. I didn't see how I could last that long without a fully functioning refrigerator, so they put me on a waiting list, and fortunately they were able to move my appointment up a week, giving me a three hour window for the repairman to arrive.

I explained that for the first hour, I had a doctor's appointment by phone, so the repairman phoned me and most considerately agreed to come half an hour before my appointment. He quickly diagnosed the problem, I did as he requested, and now my refrigerator is working as well as new despite being 26 years old. I am so grateful to Ricardo who came through effectively, considerately, and with great efficiency. The lady who took my order was also most kind and considerate, and I would happily use their service again and recommend them to my friends.

My two week old Whirlpool refrigerator was not maintaining the proper temperatures. Because it is under warranty, I am stuck with Diamond as the only option to fix it. After waiting two weeks for an appointment, they didn't show up. They didn't call to explain or to reschedule. It is surprising that a company as big as Whirlpool allows this to be my only option. Sadly, I will not be purchasing anymore Whirlpool appliances. I am a landlord for 24 units and am in need of appliances often. My money will not go to Whirlpool which hopefully means I will not encounter Diamond Factory services again.

First let me say that Barry, the tech, was great. He was great combo of professional and friendly, and he repaired our oven as requested. The next part is partially my bad: Diamond charged us $120 just for him to show up PLUS labor (and parts, of course). I don't even know what the labor/parts costs were because I was not given a receipt-though I was told upon calling that they would mail one to me (glitch with email she said).

Moral of the story: Unless the work is covered under warranty, ask questions about what they charge. However, they could be more forthright with this info as well, and they should provide receipts. The part is under warranty but I have no proof the work was done.

This is the worst service I've experienced in quite some time. I spent over 2 thousand dollars on a repair from them and the refrigerator never worked. They came back to check on the problem soon thereafter but didn't have any idea what was wrong. I constantly have to travel, and making arrangements for them to come back for a while wasn't possible.

So when I finally got an opportunity to have them look at it they told me the ticket was closed and I have to pay more. In our conversation, some rude receptionist told me to call the manufacturer and then just hung up on me. Please avoid this company. Unfortunately, GE gives out their number as a reference. There are very few companies that service built-ins.

I am flabbergasted that this company is still in business. I have paid almost $500 for a repair and it is still not working. The tech showed up after the 3 hour window then spent 4 hours on a repair that did not work. He spent more time on personal phone calls and in my bathroom than actually doing the repair. He left my kitchen floors a mess. He then says IF what he replaced doesn't fix the problem he would need to go in with dye.huh?

Why didn't you do that in the first place or when you had my fridge in a million pieces? It's now a holiday weekend and I have no way of contacting anyone. After reading other reviews I am sorry I let them touch it.

Update part 2: After close to 2 weeks, we had different tech's come out that had fixed the problem and were 200% sure they would not have to come back. They had informed us that it would be best to run a cleaning cycle and then we could start using the machine as normal. So we ran the cleaning cycle and after 20 min when the machine was starting to drain, our apartment started flooding.

The tech did not check his work and did not secure the hose to the pump so the hose detached and drained water throughout the front part of my apartment as well as the unit beneath us. After several days I noticed the hardwood around the washing machine was warped so I called Roger to discuss what they were going to do to remedy this situation. Roger said he would have a company come out to check the damage and then get back to me on repairing it.

A company did come out to survey the damage and they gave the quote to Diamond but I have not received an update yet. As of this update, Roger was supposed to get in contact with me 8 days ago to update me on the status and now I am not able to reach him. I have contacted my lawyer and will be going through that route to finish this situation. I can not stress this enough, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING.

These folks are pretty large in the MI, IN and IL area. The most frustrating thing is they place you in the queue on hold for 30 minutes then when you finally get into position #1 they say their operators are too busy to handle my call. this happened to me 3 - 4 times on different days and times. I realize staffing is tough these days and the supply chain is messed up too, but don't waste my time this way. Once this work is completed, i can promise i won't be using these folks again.

Terrible company they charge you and don't repair the appliance then stall around so long they want you to pay for repairs again because the 30 day warranty on repairs has expired. How can the 30 days even start if they haven't fixed the problem. Shame on them and Whirlpool, terrible products, and worse service. Two service calls two repairs two missed appointments, multiple messaging, hours on hold on the phone, and the microwave is still useless. I will have to pay more money to have it unmounted from the cabinet and I am already out 800.00 for a dead appliance. Avoid this company and Whirlpool appliances.

This is the worst service experience I've ever had. I was sent to this company through Whirlpool/Maytag, as they work on their appliances. My dryer was turning off after 5 minutes and my house smelled like smoke from it. First of all, their hours aren't great and they don't offer weekend service, so I had to take off work to have my repair done, which would have been fine if they had actually fixed the dryer the first time.

The service person from Diamond came out and said that "nothing seemed to be wrong with it, but the motor was a bit loud, so maybe that's the issue". Very surprising considering my whole lower level smelled like smoke and it wouldn't stay on for more than 3 minutes. He replaced the motor (thankfully under the limited parts guarantee from the manufacturer), said it worked and left. Well, I put clothes in it right after he left and the problem was actually worse.

Still shutting off, but now within about 30 seconds of turning on, and same horrible smell. Clearly the motor he replaced was not the problem, nor did he actually check to make sure he did his job correctly. While the part was covered, I did have to pay $85.00 for this terrible service. I sent Diamond Factory Service an email (no response back), called them (no apology or solution), and they told me to call a manager for a solution, called him and no call back a full business week later.

I couldn't continue waiting on this awful company, so I had it looked at elsewhere and apparently it was just the drum wheels giving out. They were replaced and my dryer is good as new, with no thanks to this company. At this point, I just want my $85.00 back from the useless service I received, but I can't get a call back, so I finally ended up giving up and just filing a claim through my credit card company.

After having several repairmen tell me my fridge could not be fixed, Anthony from Diamond diagnosed the issue in 5 minutes! He knew exactly what needed to be done to get the water and ice working again. Everyone was so nice and informative through the delay in parts due to COVID. Leon came to place the final part and was great. He explained everything to me and was so talkative and nice throughout the whole process. Anthony and Leon are the real deal - they know their stuff and get the job done.

So nice to deal with a legit company all the way around. I will be spreading the word on Diamond Factory Service knowing that they can represent with smiles, information and service! Thank you so much!

Got a call saying they would be at my house in 40mins. After waiting an hour and a half I call, they said the tech was at my house for 20mins and no one was home. I have on my Ring doorbell the tech pulling into my driveway. He never got out of his car. My doorbell never indicated someone was at my front door and they didn't bother to call, so they left.

I asked them to come back as I took a day off of work for them to come (after waiting a month for an appointment). They receptionist was very rude and said the tech will not come back today and I'd have to reschedule, again. Terrible customer service and techs. Sucks because I am at the mercy of GE because DFS is the only certified company near me.

Diamond Factory Service is a great company to do business with! They are prompt and timely with their service. Their technicians were so professional, courteous, and responsive. They completed the job in a timely manner, and they did quality work. Our customers are very happy now that their microwave is in good working condition. As far as workmanship they just cannot be beaten, and I would recommend them over any other company in the area.

DON'T CALL THEM DURING COVID. The service might be OK but they don't follow Covid protocols We had a technician in to fix our oven. He was not wearing a mask. I asked him to put one. He said he didn't have to because he was vaccinated. Even though he put one on later, the damage was done. I'm having surgery the end of the month am super cautious.

I left and shut myself up in a different room. It's 13 outside and we had to open windows to air out the place. I called Diamond to complain. They said they "don't require their workers to wear masks because it's not mandated by Illinois law but they will put a mask on if asked." Obviously, he didn't know that.

Zero stars! Terrible customer service, rude customer service reps and rude technicians. We have a double microwave/whirlpool oven through our Pulte Home. After having it less than a year the microwave stopped working with an F1E5 error code and a technician was sent out. He was here for less than 10 minutes told us that there was nothing wrong with it that we just needed to flip the circuit breaker to reboot it like a computer.

Five months later it stopped working again with the same error code. Rick, the technician, came out and said it's going to cost you over $600, I don't have the parts but you have to pay me $110 right now. After paying him I called whirlpool and was told we shouldn't have been charged we were still under a special warranty with Pulte.

I called Diamond and explained the situation to the rep. She said that's not how we operate and you need a receipt. I told her we never received one. She snapped that maybe if I could wait 5 minutes I could get one. I never received a receipt or a refund. Whirlpool called Diamond and was told they would refund my money and they would indicate in the file that we were still under warranty.

Three weeks later Rick came back out took apart our oven and said Ha this is going to cost you a lot of money. We explained that we were still under warranty through Pulte. He said No you're not and I know nothing about your special warranty. When I asked why he didn't know about it he stopped working shoved the racks back in the oven. When I asked what are you doing he said I'm leaving I don't have the parts to fix this and I'm tired of being yelled at.

He walked out saying he was never coming back. We have not received a receipt or a refund yet. When Whirlpool has tried calling to resolve the issue they keep getting booted out of the system for being on hold too long.

These guys are scam artists. Be advised. The tech came out to look at our washing machine. Within 15 minutes he came up to tell me the electric panel needed to be replaced and it's $563. I declined to have it done and paid the $110 fee. The next day I looked on YouTube and quickly found a tutorial about cleaning a small censor in the panel. I did it and now it works perfectly! Wish I would've tried before calling these fools.

I filled out the form on their website and selected Samsung as my fridge. My appointment was scheduled for over 2 weeks in the future so I had to wait. No one showed up on the day of service so I called and was told that they didn't have a record of my appointment even though they had sent me an email confirmation. After some checking they told me that they didn't service Samsung even though it was a drop down choice on their website. Why would they list Samsung if they didn't service it?

Very poor service. Told part for our maytag dryer (thermostat) was back ordered. Waited for over a month when I called back was told that they would call me when it came it.they didn't have a date of receiving it. I went online to Maytag.part was available called our warranty service they purchased the part and sent ut to me. Called Diamond Factory to set up schedule, they wouldn't schedule even though their schedule is over a week in advance, until I received the part and read it to them over phone (interesting since they were the ones that gave me the part number. Now scheduled for a week and a half later. Which is better than when they came the first time it was 4 weeks.

Called on oct 11. Service call date was for oct 25. No problem. Tech bill H shows up nice man professional. Worked on units for 1 hour. Said he was done. Paid the 500 plus bill. Did 1 load in washer. Issues again. It happens. I'm ok with that. Here is where it goes south. Immediately called service. Told my issue and ask bill to return. Was told no and that I would have to reschedule. Gave another week to wait.

I said that was not acceptable to me. Argued with rep on phone and they hung on me in mid sentence. Not one ounce of compassion or caring of my issue. Just not happy with the tone of my voice Poor poor customer service. Also. Don't call the techs number that calls you before arrival. They have it set up to automation and you can't even leave them a message or talk to them.

Bottom line. Take day off work for a 8-4 appointment window. Spend 500 plus. Still can't use washer now I have to take another day of work. I hope karma pays them a visit. I will try to stop payment today for services NOT RENDERED. I'm sure based on their CS skills they don't even know these reviews exist. So good for the consumer. BUYER BEWARE

Was directed to DFS through Whirlpool for service on my Jenn Aire oven. Charged me $110 to come out and not even touch my machine because the issue was so clear (and which I described to them very clearly by phone but they insisted on coming out to "diagnose"). Then, they order the part (which they receive after a week) and a day before coming to install, call to say the part is damaged and they have to reorder.

Now suddenly the part is on back order and then they say their system isn't working so they can't give me any more information. I tell them I can see the part online at various part stores in stock and ready to ship; DFS tells me they have one supplier and then say, "fine, order if want online but we won't guarantee the part OR the installation." I have now gone to Sears Home Services, the part is in stock, will be delivered next week, and have the service scheduled. Wasted 2+ months and $110 waiting for DFS. Terrible customer service.

If I can give them a zero I would Whirlpool warranty for dryer send them for repair. Had them come two weeks to see the problem with dryer on July 28 needed to order parts. I have been calling back and forth with what was the delay on getting the parts. Whirlpool customer service wasn't any better either. I finally got a call about my dryers parts arrived to set up for service on September 15. Won't get someone to come out until the 28th and they can't tell me what time they won't know until a day before service. It's been stressful I guess I'm actually lucky I can dry my clothes outside with this weather. Imagine a refrigerator! I read the reviews for this company and I was hoping that wasn't going to be me! If I could give negative stars I would. By far the worst service I have ever experienced. Bought a new washer June 16th that came with a faulty part. They came out diagnosed the issue now I have had two scheduled appoints canceled by them the morning of. Then they rescheduled for two weeks. All they can say is that is our earliest available time. On August 11 I've haven't been able to use this new washer.

Left serval messages with mangers there and have not received a call back on why my appoints get canceled. Maytag need to find a different service company. Also very disappointed with Maytag, all they say is all we can do is the send the repair company to fix the issue. Last time I ever buy a Maytag product.

One of the worst services so far; our KitchedAid refrigerator wasn't cooling. First technician misdiagnosed the issue, asked to order $1,100 worth of parts that the second technician after 6+ weeks waiting for parts re-diagnosed to our surprised were not the ones that were broken. Another 5+ weeks, still waiting for the parts and it appears you have to call to schedule the service that may or may not happen immediately ( likely 2+ weeks ) of the technician is not in your area. OEMs must replace this service company with a better alternative as it is tarnishing OEMs brand as well. Very very disappointed

We have a Whirlpool washer that was covered under Geek Squad but the warranty with them expired last year. I called them anyway about issues we were having with the washer. The rep referred me to Whirlpool who has a dedicated number for this situation. Scheduled an appointment for 8/12 with window of 12-4 pm. Whirlpool dispatched DFS to perform the repair.

Today 8/11 I received an automated message that the time was now 3-6pm and to call back if this was not correct. I called DFS and was rudely told the time I had originally scheduled was not correct. I was told that if the appoinment was made through another party the time DFS said was the time to go by. I said a few more words and promptly hung up on her.

My question is this, why have your automated message say to call back if the time is incorrect? Does this mean that if you schedule an appointment through Whirlpool, Maytag, or other manufacturers the time will always be different than what they originally indicated? They should reword their message to say something to the effect of "if you scheduled your appointment with a manufacturer or other party the time may be different then what was originally scheduled we are sorry for the inconvenience". Then I looked at the reviews here and decided to cancel my appointment. The woman who took that call merely asked for the state and my address and said I was all set.

Repairman arrived yesterday to fix washer.he was not vaccinated against COVID nor did he wear a mask or even have one available with him to wear according to safety protocols every business should adhere to.also, had to ask him to wear booties over his shoes before entering my home.stated he was unsure if he had any with him.my husband has multi health issues and I was truly offended by lack of safety measures by this company. I was personally asked several questions in regards to any COVID exposure or symptoms prior to scheduling this appointment and yet our safety was ignored.

We have been dealing with this company since December 2020. The original delivery was fine. However the refrigerator had two blemished doors which were reordered. They were finally in March 2021. The Diamond Service guys came in and installed one door. The second door was not the right part #. The service man gave us the correct part # and told us it was our responsibility to order the door.

I called Whirlpool and was told Diamond had to order the door and they were responsible for ordering the door which was not correct. When I got a hold of Diamond, I was told the door had been ordered! No one called to inform us of this! The service man walked out empty handed and left us with the boxes, old door and wrong door to take care of. He said we would have to return the incorrect door to Whirlpool!

As it turned out, Whirlpool didn't want it either so the new door was put in our trash! Ok, so, the correct replacement was installed yesterday, July 12, 2021! Same guy! Same mess left behind. I have since had 2 spilling accidents putting things back in the refrigerator. The door doesn't close right, it hits my hand and jars. Now, I'm back facing the problem of trying to contact the company! Yesterday, I was #22 on the list.

When I got down to #4, the message says they cannot handle all of the calls and call back later! I tried being put on the call back list, which was never followed up on. Today, I was #14. When I hit #4, the same disconnect happened. I have called every # listed for Diamond Factory Service in 2 states only to get the same identical message! So, I have emailed, not expecting any response. Thought maybe a review would get some attention! I am also going to contact Whirlpool. They may want to find a new factory service. Yelp needs to have a zero-star option. Scheduled through Maytag and had to wait nearly three weeks just for the appointment. I never got any follow up email or voicemail as to when in the day they'd be arriving, then when they finally did arrive, the guy called me before coming to the door and was shockingly rude. He very clearly wanted to get out of the job and immediately started talking about how expensive it would be "just for us to come up there (and do nothing)." His whole tone was essentially, "Do you REALLY want us to do this?" He wasn't prepared for a stackable unit and said he couldn't do anything. Didn't offer to come back at a later date with a second guy, didn't ask me if I could help him lift/move things, just rudely rushed me off the phone. Honestly, the most unprofessional interaction I've ever had with a repair person.

If you are unfortunate enough to be routed to this awful company thru Whirlpool, buckle up for the worst customer service experience of your life. Rude. Unresponsive. No timeline for repairs. Their call line will drop you if your holding for longer than 10 mins. We've been waiting 3 months to have our fridge repaired with no end in sight.

Terrible customer service. After waiting for over 5 months (during my warranty) for a part to come in on my dryer, they arrive and tell me that the dryer is no longer covered by the warranty. The service tech agrees with me that the dryer broke in warranty and should be fixed. They want me to pay before fixing. Without waiting for me to straighten out with Whirlpool, they leave my house. I will be filing complaint with BBB and anyone else that will listen.

This place is a complete joke. Waited a month just to schedule an appointment and them another month for them to get the parts. rescheduled appointment and then showed up without all the parts needed to fix the problem and wont even tell me when they will be back? Ridiculous.

Would definitely not recommend. Misdiagnosed problem on the first visit (which took a month to get part). After reordering correct part, repair person showed up with wrong part. Correct part ordered--not prioritized even though it was their fault--and I still don't have a working dishwasher 4 months later. Service: Dishwasher repair

I am upset I am not able to leave zero stars. I have a less than 3 year old kitchenaid fridge that I spent almost $4000 on. Diamond has been put to repair 5 times and now it is full if mold. Hopefully 6 times a charm. I question the diagnostic ability and training on electronic and refrigeration equipment. Each time the "techs" came into my home they did not use any diagnostic equipment.

They looked at it and just said what was wrong. I question them each time. Seems like they are used to guessing at the issue and installing random parts until the appliance is fixed. This is pretty obvious being that this is be the 5th visit. What a joke.

Great service all around including technical expertise, promt responses to inquiries, friendly interactions and a reasonalbe price. We had the ice maker repaired on our Kitchen Aid refrigerator Our tech. person Leon was knowlegable and patient enough to answer all of our questions. The company's phone commications and scheduling staff were also helpful and friendly. We loved having the call back option rather than being required to hold on the line for the next represenatative.

Whirlpool sent them to diagnose my refrigerator for $110. The technician said it has a broken computer board and it will cost $500 to fix it. I opt out on having him fixing it and asked the tech if he can include the diagnostic along with the part number so I can order it and install it myself to save money. When I received the invoice it was blank but the diagnostic amount is there.

We tried to call them several times and even left multiple messages for the manager to call us. I even replied to the email but no response from them and no call back. It is the annoying thing in the world when a company does not care about their service. The service was horrible and we did not get what we paid for. Beware.

I am an owner of a plumbing company the refers this company on a regular basis. When calling to reach the owner of this company I was told He's not available to the public and would have to speak to project manager instead. I said I will leave a message for him to contact me she hung up. Very poor customer relations. I will never refer this company ever again, when I used to send more then ten people a week to them.

Purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator. New in the packaging, which is not always the case here, but they had a few new ones on the floor. No delivery options at this time, but that is totally understandable. Awesome deal. Great people!

DISAPPOINTMENT: That you will know this last service person was a disappointment. IF, further service happens to be needed I am hopeful that the young man who was sent on original call approximately two weeks ago, be sent. He was EXCELLENT in both his proficiency and the information provided. Today's service person after spending time under my sink advised as a parting statement that he found a "slight" leak in supply pipe connection which never was a problem nor is it now.

Upon checking tI did discover he did create a "slight" leak in a drain pipe, which also has NEVER been a problem and which I now find myself having to repair. Truly a disappointment.

Interesting place, inventory changes daily. If you have a particular need, ask one of the reps there.they may have it available in the back or know if and when your item will be available.

The worse repair company ever. I spent over 20k on appliances and purchased 5 years warranty. everyone diamond factory service come out to repair they act like they are doing the work for free and are extremely rude and always ask questions again if I have warranty when that should have been verified with the manufacturer. They also find excuses to not repair. lazy team that always leave a mess behind too.

Excellent service, they had to come out the first time to diagnose the problem, then return at a later date with the compressor and perform the repair. Up and running and working fine now. The technician Ed was very helpful and knowledgeable and did a great job. Highly recommended. Service: Refrigerator repair

Our fridge has been out for 3 weeks now, parts where delivered Monday according to manufacturer. Called and spoke with a rep who told me oh well there's nothing Diamond Factory can do. The agent says don't tell me your frustrated and puts me on hold. If you can find any other repair shop go there these people do not care 1 bit about their customers.

I have been through quite a bit lately so it we very refreshing to have a service company that really cared about their customers. I had several things break in my house and I felt like the ice maker going down was the last straw. I was reluctant thinking this was a major company that wouldn't really care about my issue. However, the technician called me first and asked me the symptoms to make sure I didn't waste a $100 service call.

After talking with me he came over and originally thought that it might have been worse. He did the diagnostics and thank goodness it was a crimped hose. I explained that my husband passed away and I really wasn't familiar with the mechanics. He took the time to explain how the ice maker worked and helped get it fixed. I learned quite a bit about how it functions and how to clean it.

He was a super nice guy and I only got charged the $100 for a service call! They did give a three hour window and he called me promptly after the first hour to go through the diagnostics. Typically they come at the last hour of the window which is frustrating. If you have a KitchenAid or Whirlpool appliance I highly recommend this company.

Our 24-year-old Maytag dryer, which had always worked flawlessly, began to make loud, scary noises. Trying to keep an aging machine going versus buying a new appliance is always a gamble. Not one to panic, I Googled the model number and found that many replacement parts were still available for this particular model. Moreover, an appliance sales rep advised that current-day models have a much shorter average service life (aka planned obsolescence). Presuming that a genuine 'Maytag Man' would be a better bet than a general appliance repair service, I contacted Maytag. They, in turn, set up a service call with Diamond.

And then I saw all of the negative Yelp reviews. Oops! I braced myself for the worst. Angel, the repair tech, did not resemble the 'Maytag Man' of TV commercial fame but he did find the part that was making all the racket and ordered a replacement. An experienced professional with a thorough knowledge of Maytag appliances, he was not only polite and punctual but downright friendly (he loves dogs, too!).

As soon as the part arrived, a Diamond rep called me to schedule the repair. Angel returned with the part and got the old dryer working like new. Folks in the appliance repair biz deserve our patience and understanding. They have to keep current with ever-changing technologies, squirrel away a bewildering inventory of replacement parts, and work under challenging conditions.

This is not to say every customer will have a positive experience, but I'm glad I gave Diamond a chance, and the next time I need out-of-warranty appliance repair I will not hesitate to contact them.
