Critical: Professionalism Almost got run over by their branded truck and then the truck proceeded to tailgate numerous other vehicles once it passed me. Super unprofessional and reckless and will never use this for this company for this reason.

These guys did an electrical rebuild for me last year (new panel, new service connection, etc). Really communicative and professional, and easy to talk to about different prices and work options.

William swung by my house after I had some trouble with my breaker box. He quickly and expertly explained the issue, which was my ignorance. The entire visit took about 20 minutes and not only was the situation handled but I also learned something about the electrical components and general standing of my house. I will definitely use them again in the future for any and all of my electric needs.

Duhon did a great job installing recessed lights for us. I can't believe what an improvement the lights made for us.

My experience with Duhon Electiric was totally positive. I was able to get in touch with them immediately and see them on the scheduled day. They arrived with a mask, spotted the problem immediately, charged accordingly, were friendly and easy to work with. I intend to use them next time I need electrical work.

I'm really perplexed why they show 4.5 stars. They are unresponsive. I spoke to someone briefly and they asked me to text them my information and they'd get back to me with a time for an estimate. That's not happened. A simple reply. I would use someone to do work who is reliable. After reading the reviews further, it looks like being unresponsive is a common trend with this company. Also William seems to have a lot of excuses in his replies. Be sure to read beyond all the 5 star ratings.

Update to my previous review. After my initial difficulty in connecting with Duhon was sorted out, we set a firm date to get things done. Their crew of three showed up at 9:00 AM and were through with everything before noon. I have lights at my side door for the first time in ten years, I have a place to plug in the electric mower and power tools that's outside the house, and my bathroom has an electric outlet for the first time in its life.

The crew cleaned up after themselves well, so I didn't have to spend an hour sweeping and vacuuming debris. The final invoice hasn't arrived yet, but the prices given in the estimate were fair enough. I'm still holding back a star because of the initial communications thing, but I'm well pleased in the end and I'd use Duhon again.

The device is outstanding. I called with a problem that I wasn't sure how to handle and even though they don't deal with issues I was having they walked me through exactly what i should do. They were very friendly and very helpful.

Local Austin electricians with the experience and expertise that I was looking for. They installed 5 exterior lights (on brick) and moved some outlets for us. They are friendly and knowledgeable and do excellent work. They had to run some wires through the garage and they made it look neat and clean. They do what they promise. Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend Will Duhon enough. He told me that he is no drama, and man was he right. Other contractors like Fox Services gave me an estimate of $3-$4k for repairs to my main breaker box, but Will explained to me how he could do it for $1k. He did it quickly and with no hassle. It is so rare to find an honest and affordable electrician. But Will is not your average electrician, he is the best of the best in my opinion.

William did good work for me about 5 years ago, so I called him about trouble with the bathroom heater. He came out to do an estimate but ended up resolving most of the problem (mainly noise) and saying the heater did not need replacing. So honest. No charge. He's a little slow answering email sometimes, but worth the wait.

Damien and Raul did a great job with our light fixture. And made sure that it was evenly spaced out and looked symmetrical.

Excellent service! We called this morning to schedule service. Damian came this afternoon (same day!) and fixed the problem in nothing flat! We couldn't be happier with Duhon. They will be our first choice next time we need electrical service.

Duhon came at scheduled time, and quickly diagnosed and resolved my electrical problem as a faulty (GFCI) circuit breaker. Replaced, and I'm underway. Prompt and effective service, recommended!

They did a great job running conduit to a new exterior plug. Some folks don't pay attention to the aesthetic details but they did and I really appreciated it.

We have used Duhon for electrical work many times over the years and always had a great experience. Most recently Damien and William helped upgrade the electrical system in an older (1940s) home including: Cleaning up loose electrical wires under the house in a tiny crawl space (making it safe to enter), consolidating and cleaning up our main electrical panel, grounding all of the major appliances, installing new ceiling fans and recessed lighting, and addressing other items found on a recent home inspection report.

They always took the time to explain the work that needed to be done and then got it done. They are very busy, so it helps to schedule in advance (which I was able to do). Thanks Damien and William for the fantastic attention to detail and taking such good care of our home! I for one will be sleeping better tonight knowing my electrical system is well cared for.

Exceptional electricians who are exceptional at troubleshooting difficult electrical problems. Every job that they have done for me has been clean.

Called Duhon Electric because of an issue with an outlet on the exterior of my house. They stopped by and fixed the problem in 5 minutes. Turns out it was an issue with a GFI switch under our carport. I would have never figured that out haha. Damian was super cool, didn't even charge me for the visit. I was blown away. Will definitely use them for more extensive electrical work in the future.

Very happy with Duhon Electric! William and Daniel are expert technicians - fast and fair priced. Wouldn't think of hiring anyone else to take care of our electrical needs.

Poor communication and follow up. I had to chase them for a quote and follow up again and again. Perhaps business is so good that service doesn't matter. Big thumbs down! If you have a small project, find someone who cares. They want to present themselves as the local Austin guy- sorry that isn't this company. Move on

I'm not sure what happened since my first review, but my opinion of this business has totally changed. It seems like they have too much business and not enough staff to handle the workload. The owner, Mr. Duhon, personally came out to give me an estimate. He didn't write anything down so I wondered how he was going to remember everything in order to give me an accurate estimate of the work to be done.

I was expecting to receive the estimate either that night or the next day. A few days went by and then a week and still nothing. I sent him a message asking for the estimate since I had already contacted another electrician for an estimate as well. Mr. Duhon advised me that he would have the estimate for me by the next day. Well, that was about two weeks ago and I never received it. What a waste of my time. Needless to say, I went with Max Electric for my several thousand dollars' worth of electrical work.

We've used Duhon a few times and they've been great to work with every time. We had can lights installed in our living room, and we changed a bunch of ceiling lights around between rooms. These guys were responsive, on time, super savvy, and they raised a lot of good points I hadn't considered. They did great work both times. When I had a question about the kind of lights they installed for us because a friend wanted to put some in, they promptly emailed me back to answer my question, even though it wouldn't result in a paying job. I really appreciated that, too. Highly recommend.

I made a phone call around 9 pm and electrician was nice enough to help me over the phone. GFCI was lit on outlet and it reset the two outlets in the house. Free advice is a wonderful thing. Thank you. I will use your services in the near future and recommend your company. - Robert H. Austin, TX

We have used William Duhon for five years when we needed an electrician. Today he arrived early and took care of multiple issues - one in the camper 12V wiring and changed out old sockets in our home. Very professional and reliable. Highly recommended.

This may possibly be the best dealing I've ever had with a tradesman! I needed an electrician to do a minor job on a house that is for sale and about to close and I needed it done fairly quickly. I regular electrician was too busy. Due to all of the good reviews on yelp I requested a quote, explaining exactly what I needed done. William got back to me within an hour, I believe, with a quote and let me know when he could do it.

The price was very fair and he came out the very next day! He gave me a 45 minute notice of his arrival, like he said he would, and he arrived on time. William was very responsive, prompt, competent and quick and best of all his prices were not outrageous. I will definitely use William again for any electrical needs that I may have as well as recommend him to my family and friends. He truly earned my business.

William came by today to install several lights to highlight some paintings in our home and refit some old can lights in the kitchen. He brought his crew, Ben and Raoul to assist in this project. They did the job efficiently and with great fan fare. The banter was hilarious as was the fact that Raoul didn't like anchovies on pizza. Ben, who I think is 9yrs old, was a budding apprentice and was polite when he addressed me.

After everything was installed, the lights didn't work. I blame this on Raoul who blamed it on Ben, who intern held William accountable, but after awhile, we realized it was actually my fault for wanting new lights in the kitchen in the first place. This is how the day progressed, it was fun and the job was completed on time and in the manner I wished it to be.

With that in mind I would say todays experience was excellent, marvelous, magnificent, superb, fine, wonderful, superlative, exceptional, first-class, first-rate; informal, great, terrific, tremendous, super, amazing, fantastic, sensational, fabulous, ace, neat, killer, crack, A1, awesome, bang-up, skookum, out of this world; smashing, brilliant, remarkable, extraordinary, exceptional, striking, eye-catching, arresting, impressive, distinctive, unforgettable, memorable, special, momentous, significant, notable, noteworthy and generally William is an all around good guy.

I was absolutely amazed with Duhon! I was expecting to wait forever, and pay a fortune to have my "problem" fixed. William picked up the phone, was friendly and even tried to help me troubleshoot it myself over the phone; who does this anymore?! Amazing! When we couldn't figure it out, he said that he could come out and help me the same afternoon. Again, who does this?!

And for such a reasonable price. Duhon does! Out of this world amazing service and super friendly. Will be doing business again with him in the near future and he will now be my go to for all electrical work! Thanks Duhon!

I had a great experience with Duhon Electric. My dryer stopped producing heat one night. I called them in the morning and they told me they could be at my home in a few hours! I did not expect same day service, so that was amazing in itself. They came out and inspected the dryer (even fixed a wiring configuration on the dryer) and it turned out it was an issue with the outlet. They ran out to get the part and had it up and running very quickly. I very much appreciated their sense of urgency in taking care of my issue.
