BSA Flooring & Window Coverings

BSA did an OUTSTANDING JOB on flooring in our new home. We replaced carpet in the bedrooms with new hardwood and refinished the existing hardwood in the rest of the place. Bob is honest as the day is long, easy going and a pleasure to work with.

I just cannot say enough good things about this company and Bob Shraerer. I began using his company for flooring and window coverings since I moved to the area 4 years ago for home remodels and for redoing our finishes in our large church. We are located down near the border and he has made many trips down to help pick finishes and do measurements.

His shop in Hillcrest is easy to get to and the people are friendly! Bob will listen to you and tell you all your options without being pushy. I would never go with another flooring company in the San Diego area!

Bob stopped by to check out my floors. He helped ease my immediate concerns and walked me through my options. He is courteous and is very knowledgeable regarding flooring and underlayment. Bob left me with a strong feeling that he genuinely wants to help out his customers and not just make a buck as I've seen with other contractors. I called Bob when I first bought my condo. He personally came and measured my kitchen and living room windows. I bought slat blinds for the front and the double cell blinds (to help with the sun) with the option of closing from the top or bottom for the dining room. Both were very reasonably priced and super easy to take care of. Great service and great products. Support your local business!

Just finished having BSA Flooring and Window Coverings install our wood floors. Bob the owner was great. He was able to install our floors earlier than we had anticipated. The painters finished early and so I called Bob to see if there was any way we could get the floors in right away. He moved some things around and Joe and Raul showed up the next Monday morning and started the job.

I can't say enough about Joe and Raul. They were here by 7am and started right in. They are very hard workers, on time and did a wonderful job. We needed to replace our well-worn carpeting in our condo with some sort of hard surface. Bob walked us through the process and his showroom and patiently explained the pros and cons for all the different options currently available. We wound up choosing a laminate and couldn't be any happier with the finished product! Bob and his team were great to work with. Reliable. Knowledgeable. Fair. Installation was fast! This is definitely one local, independent company that you won't regret working with!

Bob and his team re-did the floors and window coverings in my entire house. I can't believe what a difference it made. The laminate wood looks beautiful and is quite to walk on with the upgraded padding. It looks like a whole new house. Bob also went out of his way to work with the general contractor on timing so the job went very quickly. The vertical blinds I used to have can't even compare to the new blinds.

They look ultra sweet and open easily from the top (for privacy) or from the bottom with NO CORDS. I really can't say enough good things about Bob. He is a great guy and it feels good to do business with him even after the transaction is done.

We were referred to BSA by the manufacturer of the flooring we chose. Lowe's originally gave us an install quote for our small house that was laughable. We called BSA and Bob came out right away. His quote came in at half the Lowe's quote! He reviewed that quote and let us know that they were over ordering product, among other strange charges.

We replaced all the old laminate and carpet in the house, reflooring everything but the bathrooms with bamboo. Our older home required some repairs to the subfloor. Bob gave us an estimate on those repairs, but also let us know that the final cost could change based on what they uncovered. I appreciated the upfront communications. We got on his schedule and waited about a month to begin install.

The crew was great, cleaned up at the end of each day, respectful to each other, overall pleasant. They did a great job fixing the subflooring, even spent extra time on the job to level out a significant drop that has always bothered us. They finished the job in 4.5 days. About a week later, we noticed a crack in one of the boards. Bob came out right away and confirmed that it was likely a flawed board and was definitely covered under warranty.

He got us right back on his installer's schedule and had the board replaced within a week. I was so worried that they would have to pull up a significant portion of our glued down floor to replace the damaged board, but they were able to fix it by replacing only two boards! I was so relieved AND the repair is not noticeable at all. Bob waited until we were satisfied with the repair before presenting us with his final bill.

In spite of the extra product and labor required to fix the subfloor, the final bill was only slightly more than the original quote, overall extremely reasonable. Though we hope to never replace these particular floors, I would definitely use BSA again.

We redid all the floors in our house. I spoke to a number of flooring vendors before selecting BSA and ultimately chose Bob because of his excellent customer service and constant willingness to help us understand all aspects of our project. As we looked at flooring products, Bob went out of his way to patiently help us find good choices, even hand delivering samples as he was able and not pushing anything on us.

When we got toward the estimate, Bob was great at explaining his very reasonable quote and why he recommended one thing over another. Bob is honest, straight forward, and seems to just want to do a great job for his customers above all else. Once we hired Bob and started the project, he continued to give us great communication, constant updates and fulfilled all promises on his end.

His installation team was excellent and Bob made sure they did a top notch job. He continued to give us fair pricing and good advice as things came up (such as sub floor prep we hadn't expected). We were able to finish the project on time and as promised, with no hitches and no surprises. I can't recommend BSA and Bob enough. This is an honest company and Bob couldn't be easier to work with. Having had bad contractor experiences in the past (with extremely poor communication and failure to meet deadlines), I can say that Bob and his team are great at what they do. I will happily use him for future projects.

I had an excellent experience with BSA Flooring. We had initially ordered a smart strand carpet but we were not happy with the with the way that the carpet performed. Bob was absolutely amazing - he had the rep come out from the mill and we were able to come to a great resolution. I am extremely happy with BSA, their installers and with Bob specifically. It was an amazingly positive experience and my wife and I did a LOT of shopping before using BSA for flooring.

I bought my condo which came with really ancient window coverings. Bob came over, measured and gave me a very reasonable quote. Then he installed them, a double honey comb cellular shade to insulate against the sun in my dining room, and classy horizontal blinds for my front window. I'm very satisfied with both-especially the honeycomb cellular shade. I don't have a/c and the room doesn't get too hot. Personalized service and a great job. Can't beat that!

Bob is DEPENDABLE, HONEST & has high INTEGRITY. I know from experience because his company did my remodel to perfection.

Bob came to my home with floor samples to re-do our kitchen floor. He did not push one product over the other, letting us choose what we liked best. He was honest about the price differences between products and we chose the product we liked best. When he gave us the bid, I was amazed at what a great price it was. He told me exactly what they would have to do, what the labor cost was going to be and was up-front about everything.

They came out when they said they would and got the job done in a very professional manner. This is the 2nd time I've used them, but the first time to post. I have since referred BSA to others. I am thoroughly impressed with Bob's knowledge, professionalism and honesty.

Bob replaced our blinds for us and they are beautiful. He showed up when he was supposed to, was fast and efficient, he knows his stuff! We were just talking about him yesterday saying he needs to come back and do the master bedroom. When we need new carpet or flooring we will also use BSA. Great job and great customer service.

I just have to say. First off that I don't usually write reviews. But if i am going to write one it would be about Bob and BSA Flooring.;) From the very get GO! Bob came out of his way to my house in Eastlake on a whim that i may hire him, knowing ahead of time that i had two other bids before him. He would be one of three that i needed in order to make the best decision financially for my homes carpet and blinds. Bob told me he was busy and had a a lot going on that day, I explained to him that i too was in a hurry and needed to receive one last bid in order to get the ball moving on my project. Bob selflessly put aside his day and came to my house and gave me a bid. ON THE SPOT! Needless to say I hired him.

He even was willing to work with me on the expenses, I really appreciated that. One week later carpet was in my house. Beautifully done, his workers are SUPER! Professional, I wasn't there to help move all the stuff around. I guess Bob and I miss communicated a little bit on our dates but that was fine. The guys were so AMAZINGLY PROFFESIONAL AND HELPFUL that when I got home and had seen all the great work they had done I tipped them each 20$ for a job WELL done.

I really have never encountered such a hospitable crew and such professional behavior. If there were 6 stars to be given. THEY WOULD GET IT. HERE BOB! ******!;) My Carpet and Blinds are amazing. It's like being in a new house! Thank you so much BSA I can't praise you enough. I would recommend BSA to everyone.

We bought a house that had high end window coverings. The kitchen for some reason had no shades and when the afternoon sun came in it was blinding! We called Bob and BSA and had him give us some selections. We picked out one that was affordable yet matched our other high end ones. Bob was incredibly knowledgeable and patient during the whole process.

He installed them perfectly and I absolutely LOVE them! I use them daily and love the way they look. I would highly recommend BSA for all your Window Treatments and I would use them again in a heart beat.

I have used BSA Flooring and Window Coverings on numerous occasions and have been exceptionally pleased with their customer service, follow up contacts, pricing, installation, and promptness of delivery. During the process of choosing a carpet, Bob, the owner, and I went through countless samples. With his help I was able to narrow it down to three possibilities.

After many discussions and having him come out to my house, I was able to choose the best carpet for me. It has been over a year since installation and the carpet still looks new. I also used BSA for ordering top-down bottom up Hunter Douglas window treatments for three rooms in my house, as well as shutters for my kitchen. Again, the price was unbeatable, customer service exceeded expectations and follow up conversations and visits to my home helped me select fantastic colors and textures which enhance each room.

Delivery and installation was prompt. Bob also installed new carpet for my mother throughout her condominium. She is elderly and frail, and Bob made sure the work was done quickly with minimal disruption to her daily routine. I am now ordering drapes for an expanded bedroom. I no longer price shop because I know BSA's prices can't be beat!

I feel the same about how I am treated as a valued customer by a vendor that goes out of their way to provide the best that is available in the San Diego area! August 1 - the drapes are now installed and are just perfect! Exactly the right length too! Bob helped me pick the right fabric, rod and rings. The wood on the rod/rings complements the wood antique furniture in my bedroom. Again, kudos to Bob for doing such an exceptional job/

We have just had two rooms floored with Marmoleum, an environmentally sensitive product. Bob helped us all the way, bringing us the samples, arranging the installation, etc. We love the finished product and the service was excellent. We had had two rooms done in a rental home we have about a year ago, love them also. There were a couple of places that needed repair and that was no problem, even a year later.
