Here at R&D we tackle all size projects from a multiple year condo/shopping center to installing sod for a homeowner and treat every customer with the attention and respect they deserve no matter the job size. We have worked with several Builders and are very adept in coordinating the successful completion on the irrigation and landscape phase of projects.
Irrigation

Our irrigation techs label all irrigation clocks upon starting a new account and create a diagram that is laminated showing valve box locations and zone coverage. We have our irrigation techs check the irrigation monthly and this ensures they to are able to catch and repair problems early so the property doesn't suffer.

Lawn Maintenance
Report
Our maintenance crew foreman has a daily work schedule for each property his crew will service that day with details of any extra areas that need attention during the visit and we do not leave a property until we are satisfied with the appearance. A supervisor visits properties weekly during and after maintenance visits for quality control.

We the neighbors of sortino townhome we've being waiting for almost 3 months for this company to solve the issue we are having with our lawn. Several appointments and nothing, one cancellation after the other, they just appear to cut it and that's it. Without solving the issue we are having. Several holes and dried up lawn, like a desert. Unprofessional! Update: they came after a week of this review to fix my neighbors lawn, but I am still waiting in mine.

Down to Earth does not take care of my yard that I pay monthly fees every month for. They did no edging for my yard for the last 3 weeks now. I did it myself the last 2 weeks with my own equipment I just bought. This is today's photos 10/1/2021. The edge the yards next to mine but not mine. Terrible company. This has been going on since December 2020. I would never hire them. You shouldn't either. They don't care about quality.

They say the will replace it before Jul30th but didn't happen After numerous call the account manager send me a text stating it will be replace by Sep 7th As of today Sep 24th my backyard still with no grass I contacted the main office on Sep 13 and the office manager state someone contact me later on the day I'm still waiting for that call us well No need to say that I'm very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and responsiveness from Down to Eatj Landscapers

They are under contract with our HOA. Their mowers run over newspapers in the driveways. They crash into and damage your bushes. They spin their mowers on a dime and tear up your turf again and again. They don't treat the lawn enough to keep the grass green or free of weeds. The sprinklers are never maintained. The grass dies long before they get around to look at it and then it is too late to revive. They only trim your trees and bushes when things become an eye sore. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The irrigation side of the company is good. If you're spending more money on them it's good. They are my HOA landscapers and our entire community has been looking so shabby thanks to their neglect. We've got weeds to our knees, dead trees, ruts on the lawns, sod worms, and EVERY SINGLE TIME we complain they DO NOTHING. Either they are understaffed or just plain negligent.
On top of everything we pay monthly for them to mow and weed. We are not expected to weed, yet most of us resort to do it ourselves if we can. Their contract with our community is outrageous. They just can't do what they are contracted to do and it's a mystery as to why. NOTE: I am more than happy to update this review when and if they comply to making a better commitment our community.

Because they love taking out the same irrigation hose, they've been watering the street more then my grass or plants. If they would respond to a claim, the water wouldn't be wasted and actually used to help keep things alive. Such a waste of money for a trash company, do not waste your time or money, look elsewhere if you're in need of this type of service.

Worst landscaping company I've ever encountered. IF they show up to mow as scheduled, it's a 50/50 shot if they mow your entire property or edge. There is, however, a 75% chance something will be damaged. They've damaged many homes in our neighborhood and the solution? Charging residents hundreds of dollars to build a mulch moat around the home to prevent their workers shoddy work from damaging homes. That's right - you pay them so they don't damage your home. How are they even in business? You're better off paying a 12 year old neighbor to do your yard.

As an employee of this company I don't think they respect or value a good skilled employee. My brother passed away in August of 2020. I took a leave of absence to do what I had to do. Concerned about my heath insurance I contacted the branch manager where I worked out of. He stated that I had nothing to worry about. After I returned to work I found out my health insurance was cancelled. Their explanation was unacceptable that I refused the insurance. Funny how I refused something that was mever offerd to me. Thanks for nothing.

After several months of doing things correctly, once again, your team has ruined my front yard flower beds. We are very particular and we take care of the edging of the beds but you have sent some crude, unprofessional person here today with an edger and he just attacked and ruined everything. We have made it so clear with Luiz that you are not to use an edger inside our property.
You can use an edger only at the sidewalk. It looks terrible what you have done and we had already done the trimming this morning! Some of your people are fine, like the man who trimmed the Palms today, he is very professional. It is the maniacs with the edgers who always ruin the job.

One must admire the efficiency with which Down to Earth disposes of the weekly or biweekly task of mowing lawns. Everything is like clockwork! The ride mowers dart about with impeccable dedication up and down the lawns. The stand mowers delve expeditiously between the narrower spaces. Then follows the boeder edgers, then the debris is blown. Also the workers are all extremely courteous and never hesitate to extend a greeting if you happen to be in their sight.
I cannot give 5 stars though, because as with all mass production, individual attention is missing, resulting in unwanted tire tracks, too energetic lawn edging, and stress to some areas of the lawn.

I may be premature in posting this, however, if they make it right I will be glad to post another review. I currently live in Encore Community in Fishhawk. The lawncare to our property has been nothing but a nightmare, however, today took it to another level in my opinion. The crew delivered new mulch for the homes in our area. As the crew was dropping off bags of mulch for our lawn I attempted to asked the 3 gentlemen if they planed to weed before laying the new mulch, however, none of the gentlemen understood my question.
Well needless to say no one weeded before laying the new mulch. In fact this company has not weeded our property on a regular basis since moving in. I've left a message for the supervisor over our community to contact me and like I said if they make it right I will post another review, however, at this point I'm beyond frustrated and would not recommend the company to anyone!

My HOA has them contracted for the landscaping and mowing for the area I live in. I have mostly dead grass in my side and front lawns due to lots of dead grass and the leaves are just blown back into the lawn and shrubs. Where some of the grass has tried to come back it cannot because of the burn marks for the large commercial mowers turning in the same spot every time. There are also ruts from the same path being used to mow the lawn each time.
