Prairie

Prairie style homes incorporate a composition of many interrelated elements such as wood, stone and granite to create organic and open spaces. The interior wood trim details tend to be more intricately detailed. The exterior character emphasizes horizontal and natural materials to relate and blend into natural characteristics of the surrounding environment.

Traditional

Traditional style homes have considerably more millwork details such as cove moldings, wainscoting, wood ceiling beams, wood base and casing details. I believe that traditional spaces, like contemporary spaces, should still be sculptural with soffits, art niches and ceiling details. The window areas tend to be smaller and include muntins to create window panes.

Contemporary

Contemporary styled homes have cleaner lines and more sculptured spaces. Contemporary homes can be very clean with crisp details and made warmer with use of natural materials like stone, hardwood flooring integrated with contemporary details and soffits.
