West Shore Window Cleaning, Harrisburg, PA, began in the Palmer family when it was purchased in 1948 by Edward Palmer, Sr. In 1983, Edward Palmer, Jr. began Master Window Cleaning in York, PA. In 1989, both Companies joined to operate as Master Window Cleaning out of the York, PA location. The family members have changed over the years.Today we are a "woman owned business" run by mother and son. Dan DuRand is the Operations Manager and Linda Palmer is the Office Manager. Master Window Cleaning is a Founding Member of the International Window Cleaning Association. An association to educate window cleaners in safety and raise the professionalism in the industry.

All of our cleaners have booties with them if necessary for inside use.

I only wanted to give 1 star. I was an employee here for 10 years. They pay their employees commission (31%) of the total amount of money brought in every week. I was the top earner and VERY loyal to the owners (mother and son.) I ended up with some health issues that very much affected my stamina and the workload I was able to take on. Because of this, I was asked if I would be interested in a more of a manager/office position while still going out and cleaning windows, (less physically demanding.) I was excited for this "higher paying" and less strenuous position, until I found out the whole office part was just a lie and instead they put me on a salary of no less than $40,000 a year, double or maybe even tripled my workload and fired me because I discussed with them how betrayed I felt and questioned how they could lie to the more loyal employees they have.
I could've broke $40,000 easily staying on commission. I was doing big jobs by myself that normally took 2 or more guys to do and only making $150/day. There were many days I should've made much more than that in a day had I still been on commission. They are so shady yet, claim to be Christians. They are fooling everybody and take full advantage of their employees!

Excellent window cleaning company. I appreciate that they are locally owned. Over the years, we used Master Window Cleaning service many times. Each time they serviced, they did pristine work. They are friendly, efficient and provide a solid value for their service. We will definitely use them again in the future.
