I'm really sad that we couldn't end up going through with the construction of Jeannette's design (construction prices are now at obscenely offensive levels), because it was a great design that I would have loved to see come to fruition, not to mention have the pleasure of living in! Their process was very attentive to our desires, culminating in a final design that looked on paper to be perfectly what we wanted. The whole staff was great to work with. Very communicative.

Jeannette Architects did a great Job designing our Craftsman style home! They did a great job getting us thru the permit process despite the building department closing down because of Covid! They were always a phone call away to answer any questions or concerns! We recommend Jeannette Architects for their Professionalism and friendly service!

We worked with Jeannette Architects on a complete home remodel in 2019. Our home is a really cool 1950's midcentury post and beam style, and it was important to us to maintain that concept during the remodel while upgrading all of the rooms and spaces. Jeff and his team did a phenomenal job working with us to really understand our needs as a family, and helping to create the vision for what our home could be.

Once the design was ready, they worked with us to select the right contractor, and then were there every step of the way for the next 11 months while the work was being done. Whenever we needed help to make decisions on any changes, or to settle a minor dispute with the construction (there were a few) we could could on JA to help find a solution and keep things moving.

The end result is a beautiful "new" home that our family couldn't be happier with. We would recommend Jeannette Architects to any local homeowner that wants great design, professional service, and beautiful results.

Jeff and his team helped turn our home into our dream house. He was able to take an old run down Spanish "ish" exterior and turn it into a beautiful Cape Cod feel. He listened to our desires every step of the way. Additionally, he really listened to how we used our space and provided us with several options we had never thought of. Beyond a great design, Jeff was a true partner through the entire process.

He consistently followed up with us to check on how we were doing as well as how the project was going. Whenever we ran into any issues he was there to listen to us and help resolve any concerns, even ones that were not directly related to him or his firm. We used Jeff when he first started out about 13 years ago. We really liked his work and style so we called again for our phase 2 (kitchen and living space). He and his team were really good at listening to our needs and making recommendations based on their knowledge. We are really happy with the outcome.

We first met with Jeff Jeannette, & Danielle Zunzunegui, on June 28, 2018, to discuss what we felt was our dream home. We decided to remodel our home after living in it for over two years. We had done a major remold to our previous home without the aid of an architect. However being new to Long Beach area we were overwhelmed and the Jeannette Architect was highly recommended by several friends and acquaintances.

We were very impressed after our first meeting with Jeff and Danielle on how they listened to our ideas of what we wanted our home to look like and on our needs for now and into the future. Jeff "got" our vision and he was able to quickly put a preliminary plan on paper. Between the both of them they managed to design a clear plan that met our and desires.

They explained clearly that the architectural process which included several meeting and design changes. They also included service to assist in recommending contractors, appliance distributor, construction supervision, and that they would follow through from the beginning to the end of our project. Their knowledge of construction and ever changing City and FEMA requirements was exceptional. Jeff and Danielle worked closely with our contractor and held him to their high standards.

They worked out a time line and budget for our project and with their assistance we managed to stay within the time frame and budget. We met Jeff and Danielle for about one year before we even started our project. We developed a family friendly, respectful, and professional relationship with the Jeanette Architectural team. Jeff and Danielle were our closes contacts but there whole team was just as supportive and friendly. We appreciate all that they have achieved for us and recommend them highly.

Jeff helped us transition our 1948 ranch into more of a midcentury modern ranch with a second level addition. He did this in a very thoughtful way, that we appreciated from the start. What started on our end as a kitchen renovation, snowballed into also "building out our attic", into a full blown renovation and second level on half of our home. Jeff was able to take some of our initial ideas and build on them in a way that we never would have thought of on our own.

It was also very important to us that the addition look intentional, as if it could have always been there. Not just a big box plopped on top of the house. The result was a smart design that we were truly excited about and was also much more practical for our family and lifestyle. He and our main point person, Danielle, were always prepared with suggestions and solutions to problems that came up during the project, as they always do.

We are still slowly settling into our new space but we get regular compliments from neighbors outside, many who watched the progress, and we feel so lucky to live in our beautiful "new" house, especially now that we are spending so much time at home during this pandemic. We look forward to working with Jeff and his awesome team on our next project.

This is a long overdue review for Jeannette Architects, who 10 years ago completely redesigned our craftsman bungalow in Long Beach (Belmont Heights). During the 7-month project, we had one baby in diapers and another one on the way.probably not the best time to do a whole-house remodel. We charged ahead anyway. And even though there were stressful moments, those moments were always moderated by the calm stewardship of Jeff, his wife and business partner Roberta, and the rest of the Jeannette team.

They knew what they were doing, and we clearly understood we were in good hands. The positive impression developed quickly, in our first meeting with Jeff, when he carefully listened to our thoughts and then sketched several design options he thought would work for us. These on-the-spot sketches were super detailed and creative, and one of them ultimately served as the basis for our remodel.

To us, what makes Jeff so good at what he does is that he is an excellent communicator as well as a great architect. As a result, he is able to talk to you, pull from your words an optimal project vision, and then carefully put that vision into an official plan. Jeff and the rest of Jeannette Architects gave us a house that we love, and for that we are eternally grateful.

We are not alone in these feelings; most of our neighbors who have renovated their homes have used Jeannette Architects, and all of them, like us, sing loudly their praise. I can't recommend more highly this company.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful folks at Jeannette Architects! From the moment Jeff stepped foot on the property until we reached completion, we were met with professionalism, and a kind and caring approach. They handled the overall design, as well as acted as our project manager for what turned out to be a whole home remodel. The house is the parsonage, or resident of the pastor, for our church.

It had sustained a substantial amount of damage, including structural failures, in 2019. We now have a beautiful place to call home for our pastor now and for generations to come! I highly recommend Jeannette Architects!

Jeannette Architects designed two separate projects for us. They listened to our wishes and needs and came up with beautiful designs incorporating details we never would have thought of. Jeff and his team did an excellent job of capturing our vision and making our house exactly the way we wanted it. We added less than 1000 sq ft but it feels so much bigger and spacious than before. Every detail was captured and our builder was able to make the drawing come to life with not many questions because the drawings had it all. Thanks for giving us the home we have always wanted and we hope to enjoy it for many years to come.

Jeff was the architect on our home remodel about 2 years ago. He truly transformed our home inside and out! The part I love the most is that he came up with an idea to open our space by connecting our small outdoor patio to an empty space off of our kitchen. His idea was genius, and something we would have never come up with on our own. The way he designed the space has made it very usable.

It is a space that we now spend a significant amount of time in that didn't exist before. His attention to detail is impeccable too. He also gave us realistic time-frames to work with, and there were never any surprises. My husband is a contractor and has referred several clients to him as well who have also been very happy. Jeff Jeannette is the very best architect in the business for Cliff May and mid-century houses. He is not the cheapest, but he is worth every penny we spent. We passed every inspection on the first round. If you are remodeling or rebuilding your mid-century modern house, especially a Cliff May. Hire Jeff. He is the best choice, hands down. We love our architect, 5 years after our rebuild.

I didn't work directly with Jeannette Engineering but they gave me a great referral. I was dealing with a very tough situation with the city and was having a very difficult time finding anyone to take on my problem. We hired Jeannette Architects to create plans for a project involving an addition and remodel of kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom areas. Jeff and his team were very professional and a pleasure to work with. The plans they created were super thorough and detailed. This facilitated getting accurate quotes from contractors and ultimately streamlining the construction phase itself as all the specifics were well covered. Thank you!

Jeannette Architects created a thoughtful and useful space for our garage tear down and rebuild. They know the ins and outs of the city permitting of what would work so there was no back and forth with the city. Jeff was easy to work with, incorporated our wants and needs for the space and helped to coordinate contractors for follow through of the project. I would 100% recommend Jeanette architects.

I'm just starting my second project with Jeannette Architects. First was a master bath remodel and now we are doing a more extensive remodel and addition to our house. We chose to work with JA because we know so many people that have been pleased with their work, and we've seen for ourselves the many beautiful homes they have created throughout Long Beach.

Jeff and his team did an amazing job on the plan for our home addition. We get so many compliments from people walking by. There are three build ups on our street right now and they are nice but thankfully ours is still the best looking house on the block. The longer we are in our new home, the more I realize the value of all the small details that were in our plan, from outlets to window size to post placement.

The solid design is obvious at first glance but then it's even more clear upon closer inspection how great the architecture work was for us. Jeff and everyone at Jeannette Architects are the easiest people to work with. Though our project was an addition and not a big budget new build, we always felt valued as clients and able to talk and follow up as needed, without delay. Straightforward, no drama, and an all-around solid operation.

We worked with Jeannette Architects last year on a complete tear down and re-build of a back unit/cottage. This was a challenging project with strict building codes in Long Beach, CA and it had to be seamlessly integrated with the 100 year old colonial main house. From beginning to end, the Jeannette's were FANTASTIC and true partners in this project.

They listened patiently to what we wanted to achieve with this space and somehow extracted the perfect physical structure. Their attention to detail was incredible and we ended up with a set of plans that left no question or ambiguity about what we'd end up with when we went out to bid. They bring a very personal and creative approach to every job. NO CUT AND PASTE HERE!

Our job was designed specifically for us, and we felt a part of the entire process. Jeff was a trusted partner and great sounding board throughout.making sure we were happy with progress and frequently checking in to make sure quality met his high expectation. On one visit, he noticed the GC framing out the roof with some large beams and asked that the concrete sub-floor be protected in case a beam dropped!

His easy going nature, and calm demeanor gave us a great sense of confidence through what might have been an extremely stressful experience. I can not recommend Jeannette Architects enough.for any job.large or small. They were up-front, honest, and had great communication until we had the keys in our hands. We will definitely be using them again for our next project!

Long overdue review. We selected Jeannette architects to design a complete exterior remodel of our home. We wanted to modernize the homes mid-century design while preserving some of its original features. We selected Jeff Jeannette because of his experience with similar style homes. Jeff and Laura met with us several times to discuss our project goals before starting our design.

We liked that they listened to our ideas and suggested improvements, rather than insisting on their own design. They presented us with many options that we had not thought of, and made suggestions based on past experience. Jeff and Laura were available throughout the entire design, permit and construction process. They worked closely with our contractors and suppliers to ensure that the work matched the design. The results looked even better than what we envisioned. We have recommended Jeff to many of our friends and neighbors and will continue to do so.

I've had the great pleasure to work with Jeff and the team at Jeannette Architects on two custom home projects. One was my personal home and one was for a family member. Both projects turned out amazing. Our own home was featured in a tour of Long Beach homes and in several newspapers, for its beautiful design and green homebuilding features. Jeff and his team are awesome to work with.

They have great communication skills, live up to their promises, and they're all around good people. It's amazing the number of people who end up friends with Jeff after working on a project with him. I'm looking forward to another project with them in the future.

Have to give them 1 star, but really a zero. Don't waste your time with this company. Was impressed with their work I saw on their site but was sorely disappointed for their lack of professionalism in getting back to me. Received an email in the morning with a slew of questions and was hoping to reply back with answers however within only a 2-3 hours they reply back, "Respectfully we'll have to pass on your project considering your limited reply." WTF.

That was a "HUGE SIGN" that company is not willing to work with you.who's the client again? Anyway, lost my business within a few hours.definitely not worth spending your $ with. After reading the email thread it appears that "feelings were hurt" which prompted his email response that they no longer wanted our business. An email that was intended for my husband about two appts lined up with other architects and that their initial consultation was free. Another reason why this wasn't a good fit---poor communication.

Jeff knows his stuff. We've had him help with design a couple times now, and he is consistently insightful, responsive, and creative. Highly recommended! Ken
