Oneida Builders

After seeing some work they had done for a neighbor, I hired Oneida Builders to rip out and renovate two bathrooms, replace a front door, and add a small porch onto the front of my house. The owner, Rocco, was accessible throughout the project, answered our (many) questions, and addressed any concerns we had. The work was completed within the time frame we'd agreed on, at the price quoted, and everything functions properly and looks great.

All of the various subcontractors who worked in my home- from the demo guys to the tile guys to the painters- were prompt, courteous, professional, and cleaned up at the end of the day. I would recommend this company without reservation to anyone considering a home renovation project of any size, and I will absolutely use them again when the time comes for the next project. UPDATE: After the great experience we had a couple of years ago (see review above), we hired Oneida to do a much larger project this year (2021): ripping out a semi-finished basement and installing a beam to allow us to remove two support posts, raising the ceiling, moving ductwork, plumbing, and electrical (and building soffits to contain it all), re-zoning the HVAC between the first level and the basement, building a full bathroom, installing new drywall and flooring, replacing the existing stairs and bannisters, installing new lighting, and creating a small kitchenette.

The finished product has essentially transformed the house; what had been an extremely underutilized area has now been converted into a modern and attractive space that includes a media room, a spacious workout area, and the aforementioned new bathroom and kitchenette. During the process, I can say that, once again, every member of the Oneida team was fantastic to work with, from the design and initial drawings phase to demolition to framing to drywall to plumbing to electrical to flooring to paint, it was just about as close to perfect an experience as any home renovation can be. Rocco, the owner, was at the job site pretty much every day (maybe every day) and his team, as well as all of his subcontractors, were competent, courteous, professional, and took care of everything on our punch list with a smile. If you are doing a home renovation project, I would highly recommend giving Oneida a call.we will be calling them again when it's time to redo our master bathroom!

We had an excellent experience working with the Oneida Builders team! Oneida fully gutted and renovated two of our bathrooms (one bathroom was expanded by combining a large closet and an existing small bathroom) and added a mini-split HVAC system and removable plexi-glass window panels to our screened porch (converting it for year round use). We obtained estimates from three builders and Oneida's quote was very competitive. Oneida's in-house estimator spent a lot of time on the front end to provide us with a very realistic, detailed and accurate cost estimate, and we never felt "nickled and dimed" when it came to change orders or adjustments to our project (a huge improvement in comparison to our prior experiences with other builders!).

The allowances were reasonable, and while we went over on some items, we were under on others, and thus we stayed on budget, while being able to select relatively high end fixtures, etc. In addition to doing a great job designing the layout of our projects based on our needs, Oneida's designer made our countertop, tile, fixture, cabinet, lighting and other selections a breeze by listening to our general design ideas and providing us with choices that were spot on (as well as great advice/suggestions).

Her services were built into the cost estimate, and she was on site very frequently. She was extremely friendly and responsive, and even kept a close eye on the actual work to ensure tile, lighting, fixtures and other items were correctly placed. Oneida's in-house carpenter was on site most days - in addition to his high quality work, he was always patient, friendly and happy to answer our questions. Rocco was also on-site very frequently to oversee the project, confirm we were happy with the progress and answer our questions.

The team also did a good job cleaning up each day, covering our floors to avoid any damage, and touching up any affected adjacent areas of our home at the end of the project. Everyone on the Oneida team was extremely responsive. The process moved quickly and we were happy with the timeline. Our renovated bathrooms look fabulous and very custom! We're now able to use our screened porch year round with the added climate control, which works like a charm (this seems to be a niche for Oneida and we're so glad Rocco suggested it!).

Over the years we've done several extensive home projects with other builders, and none came close to the quality, responsiveness, timeliness, friendliness, and professionalism of the Oneida team - we won't be using anyone but them from now on. We're already planning additional projects for Oneida to complete in our home!

Rocco and his team at Oneida Builders fully renovated my kitchen. Not only did they redesign the layout to make it more functional, but working with a talented designer and their cabinet builder, they gave me a beautiful end product, extra storage, and a kitchen that adds value to our home. We have engaged Oneida Builders on two separate occasions. The first time they finished a basement in our home. About ten years later we contracted with them again after we moved to a new home. They finished our basement (complete with wet bar & movie theater) and built-out a study over our 3-car garage. We have been extremely pleased with the quality of their work and their professionalism.

We will probably move again (downsizing) in the next couple of years and will call on them once again to finish or remodel anywhere necessary in the next (and hopefully last) house.

Rocco with Oneida Builders is my go-to. He is the only contractor I will ever use. He has done multiple projects for us through the years: master bath reno, porch enclosure, laundry room reno, and most recently complete basement finishing. There is no part of the job too technical or complicated for Oneida. Rocco has plumbers, electricians, HVAC, drywall, and painters that have worked with him >10-15 years.

This alone says a great deal about the type of contractor he is. He is punctual, attentive, responsive and has structured a great team behind him. He will always go above and beyond any task asked of him. Oneida's finished product is exceptional. I have and will continue to refer Rocco/Oneida to others.

We used Oneida to complete a complete downstairs remodel, including moving the kitchen and bathroom. They also, came back and built a beautiful screened in porch. The work they did was outstanding, but the best part of the experience was the level of detail we received in the bid, and the communication throughout the projects. They were also very willing to listen to any concerns we had with design and quickly adjusted or corrected the issues. Thanks again to Rocco and his team! We are very happy with the results.

Rocco completed building and sold me my home in 2013. He was easy to deal with, was timely and fair in all interactions. I decided in 2016 to have Rocco finish the basement for me. He knew the bones of the house so I trusted him to finish it and make it look like the rest of the house. Just a few weeks ago-literally 7 years after I bought my home, I asked Rocco to help me figure out an issue-turns out it was just a blown fuse. He's done stuff like this for me countless times. Going over and beyond the 1 year punch list. I highly recommend Oneida Builders!

I can't say enough great things about Rocco and Oneida Builders. On time, on budget and the best sub-contractors. I use many of them still for maintenance. Everyone is professional and the job is run in an organized manner for efficiency so that I wasn't "put out" for longer than necessary. I really trust Rocco and would absolutely use him whenever I have a home improvement renovation.
