First of all thank you for finding our website and taking a look around. My name is Shane Goetsch, I am the owner of SMG Landscapes. A little bit about me: I grew up on the farm in Nebraska where we raised hogs and grew corn. I attended college at the University of Nebraska, Omaha and earned a degree in Aviation Management/Business Administration degree and a commercial pilot license.While going to college I worked for a company that installed lawn sprinkler systems. We would do anything from a residential lawn, to 9-hole golf courses. After graduating in 1996 I headed to Alaska to be a pilot. I flew in rural Alaska for five years then moved to Anchorage where my love of flying took me all over the state.

Fully maintain the property on a weekly basis. We keep an eye on the details to make your property look great. We will clean up the edges wherever you have a concrete curb for a clean and uniform look. In the spring we pick up trash, tree limbs and other debris. We thatch the lawn to improve soil aeration and allow the lawns to green up as quick as possible.

I happen to live in a condo at a complex Shane and his crew take care of. Let me just say a few things first. I am a huge advocate for supporting local businesses that care. Well, Shane at SMG cares! His crew sometimes are here late on weekdays, whenever we get a snowfall they're here clearing walkways, salting, plowing, really taking care of the parking lot and walkways.
They do a great job of the landscaping in summer months, leaves, grass, trees, little issues, jack of all trades. Easy to talk to, and just downright a solid, hardworking company to have on the job. Thank you Shane, and all the workers at SMG for keeping us safe and satisfied at Northshore Condos.

I couldn't be happier with SMG. I was out of town for a little bit and got home and my driveway was covered in snow. I talked to Shane on the phone and he was here when he said he would be and he plowed out all the snow in the driveway right then and there. I'm very happy with the service and I will use them again and I would recommend others to use them also.

I can't say enough good things about this company. I initially met Shane when I hired him to install an underground sprinkler system in our new house. He did an outstanding job and finished when he said he would. Since we were still living in Oregon at the time I then hired him to mow the grass and keep the yard tidy until we arrived in Anchorage. His pricing is fair and he and his guys work hard, highly recommend!

Summer is already here, so get ready for some spring cleaning! Good thing there's SMG Landscapes. One of the best teams for the job, they are a group of dedicated and hard working people that will make the outside grounds of your home reflect it's true Alaskan beauty. The new sweeper truck is very cool and efficient. Their staff is also a pleasure to work with. Great service at a reasonable cost. You definitely get your money's worth.
