A-1 Lawn & Landscaping

I've used A-1 three times this COVID 2020 Building season and have been very happy with their service. Once had a driver not call so I wasn't there to make payment. Delivery still made and when I went buy to pay I was informed supervisor was informed and it'd not happen again. So far top soil in the spring 15 yds. Sewer rock in fall 8 yds.

Another 5 yds of top soil today and hydro seeding coming next week. Hydro soil was also guaranteed that if it didn't take this yr they'd re-seed in spring at no cost. All deliveries were same day and done timely. Lastly I treated them respectfully and I received same in my encounters with office staff.

I am not usually a DIY person but with us needing to sell our house soon and a rotten deck out back, i needed a cheap fast fix. I ordered 2 different products form A-1 and they where SUPPER than if i bought bags from Lowes or Home Depo! I got my patio put in in 1 day thanks to theses guys. the only hiccup we had was that i had to wait 1 day for the other product but the office called and communicated that to me beautifuly and i got the rest of my order, NEXT DAY! 10/10 will definatly use A-1 again! :

Very rude people. Never ever contact these people about their services. Don't read any of their replies. Seems they are rude to just about everyone reading the reviews here and on google. Here's hoping their business will die in the very near future.

The following review is my personal experience with A1 and my own opinion only. Sadly, I did not do my due diligence on this company. It came to light from several people and digging further into reviews, after my experience with A1, that I was treated like many other customers were.horribly. I give a one star because I can't give 0 stars, which they should receive but I did want to acknowledge that the front desk ladies were the only nice people in the bunch, both in person and on the phone, worthy of at least a one star.

My experience with the main employee, Ted, and the owner, Brett, was, how can I say without being a whiny woman, tragic at best. They both tried to intimidate and bully me when I questioned the inadequate job their company did. I filed a complaint about their improper grading of my property with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) when I could get no assistance from A1 to correct their mistakes.

I suggest if you're reading this review you also read the review at the BBB website. Long story short, A1 did not adequately complete the work I paid for, the owner screamed and yelled at me when I called him on it, employee Ted conveniently forgot we spoke and in my opinion, had I been a man they would have treated me with much more respect.

I would not recommend A1 or any other company affiliated with the owner or their employees. Read the reviews at as many sites as you can about this company, its owners and employees before selecting this business.

After having miserable customer service from another company, I called A-1. While I ultimately didn't contract with them, I felt I needed to give a shout out to Ted, the estimator/supervisor that came out to my property. He gave me loads of advice, walked around the yard with me, was very professional, yet he explained things in layman terms for me.

The sticker shock of his verbal quote nearly sent me into seizures and he knew I probably wasn't going to hire them, but he continued on and helped me immensely. I really appreciated that. Thanks, Ted!

I sent them an email mid morning. I got a call in about an hour and got my topsoil in early afternoon. Satisfied customer.

Stay away from these guys. We've had several projects in Powder Ridge go south with them.

They plow our subdivision! For the second time they haven't finished our driveway! Guys we're rude!

I called and asked them to come out to give me an estimate to clear and level a 10' X 30' area in my back yard. They came back with an estimate of $11,300. I don't mind a business making a profit but I do not like being bent over with the assumption I would find this outrageousness acceptable. Stay clear of this business unless you have a boatload of money.

A-1 installed a new backyard patio and fire pit. I love it! I will hire them again for any of my outdoor needs.

I am a realtor and use A-1 Lawn and Landscaping on some of our vacant houses to get the yard looking good before we list them. They get over quick and do a great job. Sometimes it is just a one time mow and trim other time we set them up to do weekly or biweekly mowings.

I requested 3 yards of topsoil to be delivered on a Friday and they did exactly what was requested. The topsoil was good with no trash in it. They dropped it right where I had specified and their prices were very good.

Last year A-1 Installed a cedar fence for us in Anchorage. The work they did was Amzaing! We are very pleased. We are so pleased that this year they are putting in a new driveway, retaining walls, gardens, and front one.
