Saras Garage Doors

I just called this morning looking for a quote for a commercial bay door repair, and was hung up on. I was unhappy and left a review and was later called back by Mike (the owner) who was extremely helpful in providing a rough quote. I also received a call from Mary who set me up an appointment (before Mike called, not realizing it was the same company that I was first hung up on). Mary had a very bubbly personality and was warm and welcoming and set me up an appointment first time we spoke.

Which was not the same voice that hung up on me. (I assumed the voice that hung up on me was a woman, quiet and kinda raspy sounding). After the repair quys showed up and looked at the issue they knew right away how to fix it. We asked them to proceed and they were finished in under an hour. I tried to call Mary back to let her know what was going on and that's when Edwardo answered the phone.

After speaking with him I realized it was the same person I spoke to this morning at 8:41am and was unhappy about. (which is why I asked for his name). I do apologize, I thought it was a woman's however I was wrong. I gave a 4/5 star review because customer service is everything, and If I only had to deal with Mary it would have been a 5/5. However I do greatly appreciate Mike giving me a call back and explaining the situation at hand and doing everything he could in providing a quote and set things right.

I have used them twice and both times they were prompt and priced right. The last time, I called at 7:30am, got to my home at 8:30am and were done by 9am to replace the main tension spring. Amazing service.

The gentleman, Ivan came at appointed time and was very professional. The gentleman who came to install, Sebastian did a great job. He installed quickly and very tidy. I would recommend this company for hiring and training the best people.

Buyer beware, do your homework! I called Sara's Garage Doors to put in a "jack drive" or side opener for my garage door and high lift rail kit. The phone was answered courteously and they dispatched someone to come give me a quote. That's where things started to get sideways. Sara's wanted $800 for an opener that can readily be purchased on Amazon from an authorized dealer for less than $350 (Pictured).

They said you buy it, we install it, you pay for labor and the door parts. We agreed to a price, and that it would be done today, 10/3 at 9A. I took the day off of work for them to do the work, and by 9:30A today (10/3) nobody showed up so I called Sara's. After I was put on hold, I was informed that they neglected to order the required hardware and that it would have to be tomorrow (10/4) and that I would have to take another day off of work to accommodate Sara's.

Nobody showed up today, Sara's did not call me, I had to call and ask what was going on. I asked if Sara's was willing to compensate me for wasting my time and my day off of work. The first answer I got was, "We're sorry but the price stands and we can do it tomorrow." I asked if that was a professional way of running a service business, Jasmine agreed it was not.

I offered to write this review, and after about 20 minutes they came back and offered $50 off a 4 figure bill. When I said that was unacceptable, it wasn't even 1%, and indicated that I would write this review I was told I was "Playing dirty." If you are considering Sara's, check online before you pay them for the opener. If they tell you they are going to show, suggest calling and verifying the day before so you don't get a nasty surprise of them ghosting you on a day you took off work.

I would have gladly paid the asked for labor price on the agreed upon date (today) and been happy, or give me a few points off the deal to re-arrange my life for tomorrow. Sara's was unwilling to do either. I will do business elsewhere, even if I wind up paying more, and wanted to share my experience.

I had my Garage door replaced last week by Saras Garage doors, absolutely love them. Emilio came on time as promised installed the door in less then two hours. Every thing was smooth sailing from the initial order to the final product, the office personnel were very help full on helping to choose a door for my strict HOA, Amy scheduled the installation that same day, which was wonderful since Tuesdays is my only day off.

Door was as per described by Amy, I relay have no complains but that they do want the garage cleared out 5ft-6ft, on that I was not a happy camper, I had to move all my stuff away from the walls all by my self, and when the door was completely installed I had to rearrange all of it back, they don't work around my old clutter stuff. That was sort of an inconvenience for me. But I understand it is for the safety of the techs in my garage. Than you Amy and Emilio for such a great job.

Spoke to Amy on Saturday night to set up an appointment for Sunday Morning before church since my garage door decided to act up on and go haywire on a weekend. Amy was very helpful and curious to me. She arranged for a George to come out that Sunday. George set the wheels back on the guides and replace the cables for a very reasonable price, they don't charge extra to come out on weekends.

I was happy to know this because I know that they did not take advantage of my desperation to get my door close properly. It is good to know there are companies that don't take advantage of people when they are in need of a helping hand. Highly recommended to all.

I called Sara's Garage Doors after another company did a poor job. I wish I had called Sara's Garage Doors first! They were very flexible with my busy schedule as well as the long commute to my residence. After the job was done they even cleaned up (unlike the other company). They were very honest about the extent of damage to my door, and offered me several options. I would definitely recommend this company! Excellent Service.

We recently used this company to install a standard 8' commercial garage door. The tech who showed up (Oscar) to do the job was dirty and not clean shaven. The door we had ordered was damaged and laying loosely in back of the pickup truck. I called to speak with someone and i was placed on hold for 17 minutes, and then i was rudely hung up on by Sara. This place is not very professional. Now they are trying to charge us a restocking fee for the damaged door. BUYER BEWARE!

I was having problems with my garage door and I called Saras Garage Doors. The customer service rep that took my call was very courteous. She immediately set up an appointment for a technician to come over. The technician arrived on time, fixed the problem and now, my garage door is working perfectly. I am really happy with the job done by these guys at Saras Garage Doors and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for garage door repair specialists in Houston, Texas. Undoubtdely, I will not hesitate to use their services again. A++++++++
