I have a 2003 toyota Rav4 that I thought the ignition switch needed replacing. I would put the key in but it wouldn't turn and start the car. I took it to Lock Doctor and they first made a new key. The new key was all it needed. Instead of costing me over $200 for a new ignition switch, it only cost me a little over $21 to have 2 keys made. Michael was the technician and he was very nice.

I told him he made my day. Not too many places where you can take something to get fixed and they over charge you for something that didn't need to be done. I value Lock Doctors honesty and friendly service. I would recommend them to anyone.

He was amazingly fast and responsive. I called him out side of hours to help me get a kid out of a locked room. He said he wouldn't be here for a hour and a half. He was here in 30 minutes and in the room in 1 minute. Thank you for your excellent customer service!

Micheal helped me out and was amazing! He beat me to the car and had everything sit up so it would be faster for me. I lost my key fob I (think that's what they call it) and when I arrived to the car it took seconds and it was done. Jennifer the dispatch was amazing also. I will not go anywhere else! I called him for an estimate for a duplicate car key. His charge was higher than some other highly rated businesses. I asked if he could do it for the same amount as another business. He was rude and arrogant. His behavior was inexcusable! I would definitely not waste my money with him.

Wow these guys are fast! I needed 2 locks rekeyed for our lesson studio and they showed up on time and completed the job in 15 min and cut me a bunch of extra keys. I highly recommend Lockdoctor.

Everyone I talked to from this company was helpful and professional. We were juggling key fob issues in a parking garage with a toddler. Scott helped us by calling 30 min prior to his arrival as we had requested, he was courteous even after I told him the wrong part of the garage to go to, worked efficiently, and got us all set with a new key fob.

I called several companies in the area and this was by far the best that I dealt with. Happy customer here! Hoping we won't have any future issues, but if we do, they will be the first people I call!

08/01/2022 Mitsubishi Outlander SE, called this company to make a new key. The technician showed me that the key works (he pressed the lock and unlock button to show me that it works) asked for a signature and left, everything seemed normal. When I went to put the key in the ignition position, I had to press hard and I had to put the key back in the normal position since it stayed in the open position (this did not happen with the original key).

When I took the car to the next Mitsubishi service they found that the ignition cylinder was damaged. The repair cost me $656.97. This damage was due to the fact that the technician (lockdoctor) made a wrong move when creating the new key. I called the company to create the claim for them to be responsible for the damage (paid $302 for a good and professional service not for them to do damage) I understand that we are human and we make mistakes.

When putting the two companies on a conference call, Mitsubishi clearly said that it could have been a technician's mistake when creating the key, the lockdoctor's words were that they don't make those mistakes (depending on why the new key works in the new ignition) therefore no They respond to me for the damage, they had no intention of looking for a solution. called this company for their publication, my experience was terrible and expensive I hope this comment helps you find solutions and not leave dissatisfied customers my recommendation for people who need this service, please do not make the mistake of calling this company. go to the dealer technical service. this lockdoctor company are damaging cars stay away

Needed a new key fob cut and programmed for a vehicle I purchased that didn't have a fob come with it. Inquired with Jennifer first, who was very responsive and answered all my questions about business hours and timing on services. I then went to Lock Doctor's brick and mortar location to get the new fob cut and programmed. Scott was very friendly, professional, and did quality work. Would 10/10 recommend this team to anyone needing car key programming and cutting.

One of our front door locks failed due to age, wear + tear. Phoned Lockdoctor through a local recommendation. Very helpful lady Jennifer took our call and arranged for a technician to call the next morning. This gentleman called Trey phoned me first thing to say he was on his way and should arrive within 30 minutes. He arrived and set to fixing the problem.

He was polite, friendly and clearly explained the problem. My wife and I asked him to go ahead and the lock was fixed and he was finished under the hour. We would recommend this company and certainly request Trey again for any future lock issues. Thanks Paul & Star Alleman

The front and side door needed the locks and essentials repaired and we have an old steamer trunk that needed the lock removed and latch opened. The service man was prompt, efficient, and professional. He was also very knowledgeable and answered my questions in a polite, friendly manner. I would definitely use their service again. Locksoctor is the place to go for any type of key issue or copying. They are particularly good at copying car keys with chips. Stopped by the Lockdoctor on Taylorsville Road to have a key made for our 2017 Toyota rav 4. Michael was super helpful and friendly. The whole process took less then 1/2 hour. I had bought my own keys online 2 for $30. The dealer charge for 1 key was over $250. Lockdoctor's charge was $80. For 2 keys. Getting keys copied can be a hassel, the Lockdoctor may the experience easy and quick.

My key snapped off in my door handle. Called them and they were out at my place in less than 10 minutes. I wish I got the tech's name, but he was very helpful and extremely courteous. Overall, a great experience.

Lock Doctor did not have a contact in my area although their advertising would lead you to believe they did. After some time on hold I was transferred to someone (who never told me who he was) who asked my address and when could he come over. My response was "When can you come?" I was given a non-commitable response for that afternoon or maybe tomorrow. I never heard from them again.

We have an older house and the locks were original hardware. We had called one company who had us send photos of the hardware after we took it apart. They offered to sell us new & said we could install it ourself. My husband was not comfortable as it is an unusual set up so he called the Lock Doctor yesterday. The technician came this morning and at first was not sure it could be fixed but he took it apart again and found the problem. He fixed it and completed the job in under an hour! The technician was super nice and I would highly recommend them!

If you are in need of a full hardware replacement in your entire house or any lock work period give them a call. Michael the owner is great at his skill and very easy to work with. The team listens to what you want and then works hard to make it happen. They also will do other odd jobs around the house as well.

This is my second time using Lock Doctor. They are fast and professional. I have had them copy and reprogram key fobs. They use factory keys and also work on home door locks and safes. This locally owned business is outstanding at customer service and has a cute, clean waiting area. If you were locked out of your house or car they will come to the rescue in their company van and make a new key on the spot if you need it! Had an issue with the lock on the front door of my business. After calling our corporate office to dispatch a locksmith and waiting for over 6 hours, I decided to reach out to a local company on my own instead. I called Lock Doctor and they arrived within 1/2 an hour. The work was prompt, professional, friendly, and priced very fairly. Scott was fantastic and patient as we took care of our customers that started to pour into the store once the doors were open. Called and they stated one price and then they measure the situation and how desperate you are to go into your house and rack up the price. I won't use them again, it took them 2 mins to open so the price hike is not based on the complexity of opening the door, it how much they can take advantage of you

I found them a few years ago when a dealer mechanic told me my car would need a part replaced for several hundred dollars because it was not responding to my key fob. I went to the Lock Doctor for a second opinion and it turned out my fob just needed a new battery.

Since they saved me a lot of money, and they are fast and efficient, this is now my go-to. This locally owned locksmith company offers comprehensive care. Rekeying, lockout service, car key duplication including remote keys, safe sales and services. They have a hospitable office, and if you are stranded and locked out of your house or car, they will come to you in one of their fully equipped company vans and make a key on the spot for you.

I strongly recommend using lock doctor and I am a doctor, lol. I used them to reprogram some of my key FOBs for my 20 year old Lexus and they did it in under 15 minutes without an appointment and for a fraction of a price than what the dealership would charge. I tried youtube it but none of the silly videos worked with reprogramming. Just let them use their device to do it quickly and you can be on your way

This people were so awesome they also helped me save money which you will never hear about most times everybody was super nice came out quick. hopefully I don't have to call them again as I don't want to lose my keys again but if I do I will be calling them but I have 3 new keys at a very reasonable price!

First. if you EVER NEED a locksmith in this area don't bother calling anyone else. there is no point. you won't find better people or service. they went above and beyond what any " box store" locksmith would have done for me! One of the BEST customer service experiences I've ever had. Long story short, my car was stolen and sadly the LMPD weren't able to recover my second key fob from the thief. When I explained my situation the entire team was kind and caring when letting me know my options for giving me peace of mind. The team made sure I was able to have everything fixed (Re-coding a fob, ordering a new secondary fob, replacing the door lock & getting two new key slivers) in NO TIME & for a third of what the dealership quoted me at!

I will tell anyone and everyone if you EVER need a locksmith, visit the team at Lock Doctors. I'm a customer for life (although hopefully I won't need them too often lol) THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH AGAIN!

Stop searching! You've found the best locksmith in town! I can't say enough wonderful things about this establishment! They were a God send. I'm from Atlanta but bought a car from an auction in Kentucky. Enough said right? The first thing I had to do was get a smart key made for it. Michael did an excellent job. Everyone was so nice and honestly treated me like family.

He told me I also needed to get a new battery and gas. He offered to install the battery if I got one. They did exactly that. No charge. Just kindness. Not only that they beat every other estimate I got from other locksmiths by AT LEAST 40%! You read that right! 40%! The final price was even $25 lower than they themselves quoted me over the phone.

They went above and beyond to help me when I was a fish out of water in another city. I am so grateful to them and glad I chose them. EVERY STAFF MEMBER there treated me like family.

I bought a used Toyota Corolla. I only had the one key and fob. I went to Oxmoor Toyota. Parts Dept. told them what I needed. Supplied all the info, which was excessive. He made the key told me price was $246.00. I paid it at the cashier station. Cashier asked me if I had the receipt from the Service Dept. I asked "what service receipt", and was informed the $246.00 Key need to be activated to my car at an additional charge.

I wasn't informed of that before hand. I was UPSET! Got my money back, googled Key Fob Replacement. LOCKDOCTOR had good reviews. Went to them on Taylorsville Rd. 34 minutes and $132.00 got a new key and fob and a nice key ring! LOCKDOCTOR is superb! I highly recommend them. I AM NOT THAT EASY TO PLEASE!

I stupidly lost both keys to my car. I called AAA and they sent Lock Doctor. Vince Called to let me know when to expect him and called to tell me he had arrived. Super nice and efficient. I was worried because my car in 22 years old, but he knew what he was doing. Let me know that they also repair and replace home locks. I will definitely call Lock Doctor again!

They gave me a new key for much cheaper than what the dealership offered. Not sure if the discounted price was exclusive to Lock Doctor or not because they were the first place I called after being quoted $450 from the Mazda dealer. So I'm unsure if I could've gotten the same key at the same price or cheaper elsewhere. My review is specifically for Lock Doctor.

I felt I got a good deal. I pay $143 after tax for a new key fob. My problem didn't come until the day after when I realized the key they cut didn't open the trunk. I had to drive my car back out to Jtown for them to recut the key. The key was still wonky and would only open the trunk with one orientation. I had to ask him to recut the key again to fix this issue because if I'm paying almost $150 for something I want it to work flawlessly.

After getting the key to seamlessly open the trunk, the key would not smoothly "pop out" from the fob. I had to wait an hour and thirty minutes at the office for this entire process, the key recut and ejection issue, to be completely fixed. It wasn't that bad but this is my honest and first experience here.

Stopped in to have a smart key programmed for my Nissan Rogue. Price was 1/3 less than the lowest quote I could find. Michael was our locksmith and he was both quick and extremely friendly. I would highly recommend Lock doctor for all your locksmith needs!

I called Lock Doctor after we were locked out of our house and they answered right away and showed up quickly. I was able to get a price for the service quickly also. I was able to get back into our house shortly after calling and called back to cancel the service. They were very understanding and even though they were just a few minutes away from our house, I wasn't charged any kind of fee. They were very professional and I highly recommend them for any locksmith needs.

These guys are awesome! They only charged me 55.00 to program my Dodge key fob and it took 5 min, when others wanted 128 to 160!! They had the option for me to go to them as well but not the other guys. Lock Doctor has my vote and I will always recommend them 👍

FABULOUS! I'm moving and accidentally packed the only key to my car in one of the boxes. Ford wanted $350 for a new key and I'd have to have my car towed there. Lock doctor came within a few hours and I had 2 keys for just over $400. The guys were friendly and professional. I highly recommend this company!

I hate that I have this much experience in needing a locksmith. I have used Lock Doctor 4-5 times this year due to a lock out. Each time they are fast, professional and kind. Highly recommend for your needs!

If you ever have any locksmith needs I just had a wonderful experience here at Lock Doctor. They made keys for me from an unusual key that I had, and the copies will be able to be reproduced much easier than the original was! They had me email a picture of it first to be sure that I didn’t drive out for no reason, and they gave me a to-go coffee for my business! Very pleased!

First off, I love to support a local and family owned business especially one as great as this. LockDoctor dropped everything and I was in my apartment within 15 minutes of my initial call. This is the first service that I investigated and booked exclusively through the Yelp app, and it was a seamless experience. I was recently in need of re-keying on a couple of my doors and decided to see who was recommended on Yelp. Lock Doctor was right at the top with a ton of 5-star reviews, plus a handy "request a quote" button on the listing.

I clicked on it and messaged them with my needs. Within about 15 minutes I had gotten a reply, and was able to set up a convenient appointment from there. On the day of the appointment, I got a call about 5 minutes before that they were running late but still on the way. I had some flexibility in my schedule and appreciated the prompt heads up. Once the employee arrived he was polite, professional, and efficient.

Within about 10 minutes I had my doors re-keyed. Once they gave me the total, it was even less than I expected (I think $35 for the service call and then $12 per lock), which was a pleasant surprise! Excellent, EXCELLENT service. My brother referred Lock Doctor to me after he had them change the locks in his new house and so I did the same with mine. Scott (one of the owners) came out promptly, was right on time and lightning fast. Best of all - our locks/keys work perfectly and are smooth ... not something you always find after getting new keys! Scott even went above and beyond when he adjusted how the deadbolt slider fit into the door frame so we wouldn't have to press on the door so hard to get it to lock. Can't recommend Lock Doctor enough!

I was so happy with my experience at Lock Doctor! I had called ahead, and the price that I was quoted was accurate as to what I ended up paying-- way less than the quote from the dealership. I was only there for about a half hour. I thought it would take longer to have a key made, and to program a key fob for automatic lock/unlock. Very friendly and efficient staff. I highly recommend!

My non-profit organization (Bluegrass Center for Autism) had a large file cabinet donated to us, however the key for the cabinet was not with the cabinet. I contacted Lock Doctor to see if they could replace the lock, so we could have the cabinet lock. They were able to find the correct key to match the lock, and we now have a locking file cabinet. Lock Doctor was extremely fast (same day), and the key worked perfectly! Thank you Lock Doctor, we will be using you in the future!

I used these guys to help me in a tight spot to re-key my truck and not only were they affordable and gave great service but they were cheaper than any of the 4 companies I called before them. The service was on time and efficient. I liked them so much I did not even bother shopping around when we were looking to have our home re-keyed. They did an excellent job there as well.

Awesome, speedy, and friendly service! After a year with only driver door access via a key, we now have key fobs for quicker, and easier access. I had to make walk away to keep from continuously locking and unlocking our car.
