Outdoor Makeover

Would highly recommend Outdoor Makeover for landscaping and design services! We love our new backyard! The quality of work and design are top notch which is consistent with the feedback received by many other reviewers on here. This was the main reason I opted to go with Outdoor Makeover because I wanted to ensure my investment was going to be done right and last a long time.

Great companies are measured by how they handle things that go wrong rather than how they handle projects that run smoothly. In my case, after a positive design experience with Kasey, the initial crew that was assigned to my project did not meet timelines or provide the level of service I expected from Outdoor Makeover. This was problematic for me as I had planned an event at my house based on the timelines provided by the OM team.

As soon as I provided this feedback to Chuck (Project Manager) he apologized, committed to making it right, and got a new crew over to my house the next day. Antonio and his team were phenomenal and they worked side-by-side with Chuck putting in 12 hour days over 48 hours to make up for lost time and get the project completed in time for my event. Chuck even added some additional touches to my project like lighting (pictures below) that really took it to the next level.

For me, this experience is important to share because things happen but how companies respond can make all the difference. In this case, Outdoor Makeover went above and beyond to exceed my expectations. I will definitely be using them again!

This review is long overdue but well earned! We started working with Outdoor Makeover in the Fall of 2021 and the owner, Navid, came out to do our initial design consultation. We immediately felt comfortable with his vision and confidence to pull off a job that seemed really challenging to us. The crew was extremely professional and communicative throughout the entire process.

The transformation of our backyard from overgrown forest to a beautiful, usable space for our entire family has been amazing and we are so happy we chose to make the commitment to our yard and to trust Outdoor Makeover! I'm trying to find more projects for them to work on everyday!

From beginning to end, the landscape design and installation has been an interactive, seamless experience. Navid was a real pleasure to work with and we were glad we put our trust in his vision. David, Yovanni and crew did a fantastic job grading our yard, building our patio, and managing the sod and plant installation, in addition to the electrical and lighting work. We're meeting so many new neighbors as they stop to compliment our new backyard! We have a tiny backyard with a large drain and grass that was always water logged when it rained. We worked with outdoor makeover & living spaces to design a beautiful new bluestone patio, underdecking with fans and lights, new drainage for the yard, a really lovely dry creek feature, landscaping a side path and lighting.

We did it *all* and I'm so glad we did. Prior to this work our backyard was barely functional, now we can't wait for the weather to be less HOT so we can spend more time out there. Everything turned out beautifully, the yard feels so much bigger, and working with Sam was easy. I'll be honest, given the demand for work right now it was a bit of a pain to get it scheduled from the start, but once they were on site they were amazing, professional and fast. Would certainly recommend.

Great experience! We met with Navid for the initial consultation. He was very thorough and gave us ideas for the backyard we never considered. The consultation was well worth the cost, and because he helped in the design process, the finished product was better than I initially expected. The initial design was a bit more expensive than we were willing to pay so Navid worked with us to get the design within our budget.

We actually settled on a design a bit below our budget, and he advised us to budget an extra X% for unknowns that could happen while under construction. That was really helpful because as the project progressed, there were a few additions and changes that really helped make the finished product better than expected. Once the project began, Navid stayed connected and I saw him regularly.

When the crews arrived without Navid, each of the different leads he assigned for demolition (Ivan), construction (Gerardo), and the landscape (Giovanni), had intimate knowledge of the project which put me at ease. The design was clear to everyone on the project. Prior to wrapping up each day, someone made contact with me, asked if I had any questions, and let me know what was happening the next day.

The project was mostly completed within a week which I thought was really quick for completely demolishing and rebuilding a back yard and porch. There were a couple of things that needed to be fixed at the end. Navid continued to be very responsive and fixed everything quickly. He really saw the project through from start to finish, and even after completion. The only downside was they were so busy at the time of our project, we had to wait a while before everything got started. However, it was worth the wait.

The Outdoor Makeover Team created our dream backyard space. When we initially met with Navid for our consultation, all my husband and I told him is that we wanted a backyard space for our two young children to enjoy. Not only did Navid keep that in mind, he also incorporated a beautiful design that turned our barren backyard into a retreat that the whole family fell in love with.

Throughout the entire project, Navid and his team were easy to communicate with, worked around our schedule for meetings, and were extremely patient with our young children tagging along for meetings and walk throughs. They were also very detail oriented and their craftsmanship was spectacular. This spring, we will be using them again for a small project for our front yard.

My family and I can't thank Navid and his crew enough for all the lovely work they were able to do to transform our backyard inside out. Since the time we purchased the house few years ago, we were craving a flat yard but it never materialized due to poor grading by the builder and limited options to work with at that time. All that changed wonderfully well since the time we initiated our kickoff meeting with Navid, who took the time to carefully define a few options and possibilities, and laid out potential plans that would blend with what we were wanting to do versus what could be done.

Once his team got to work, it was like poetry in motion. They paid careful attention to detail across several aspects, from defining a creek bed and appropriate retaining wall design, to length/breadth/width measurements through the install process, and devising a drainage system that would best fit our home's need based on the neighborhood setting and slope lines.

The crew paid special attention even to the small but important things: cleaning up after meals, ensuring no trash lying around from their day's work, starting early and wrapping up much later in the day to get as much achieved in meticulously and patiently, and much more. The yard, post grading and soil install, provides the perfect balance that our yard desperately needed. This, combined with a full round of mulch and pinestraw install and a thorough cleanup post work completion, was a treat to watch.

Great service and commitment combined with a strong work ethic made it a delightful experience. The periodic checks from Navid ensured work was progressing as planned, despite some weather hindrances along the way. Navid would regularly converse with us on plans and options, and any roadblocks that arose and their mitigation plans. Everything was handled in a through manner. We also got some rework done of our enclosed patio in the process and we can't thank the team enough for it. Thank you for everything Navid and team! Keep rocking!

Outdoor Makeover and Construction is a reliable company providing customers with a stress free project management and a customer-first attitude. As a new client, Navid walked us through his vision for our yard project and provided a comprehensive sketch of the details to achieve the makeover we aspired for. His knowledge and experience helped us complete our vision of the yard by removing the eyesores and highlighting the important features.

We had tree cutters and the main makeover crew. They worked diligently every day to make sure the project was being completed adequately. Navid and crew do excellent work. My backyard was a mess and I had bad drainage problems. They fixed the drainage with some grading, a retention wall, and a dry creek bed. I also had them add a patio and some nice lighting. The work is great! His team is responsive and professional and were in-and-out quickly. Navid gave me numerous walkthroughs and project updates as the effort progressed.

Before hiring Outdoor Makeover, I was pretty happy with our yard. It had a certain rustic charm, and to me it looked like a ruggedly drawn storybook illustration. My husband, on the other hand, was pretty adamant that we needed to make some changes. Fast forward to today, and I couldn't be happier. Our yard looks like an oasis - every time I look at it, I instantly feel a sense of calm.and it's 1000% more functional for the needs of our family.

The things that made our experience with Outdoor Makeover top notch are: 1) The work quality and attention to detail of Navid and his team were evident at each step of the project, from tree removal, to the size/height/angle of our stone retaining wall in relation to the rest of our yard, down to the final punch list. 2) How quickly the transformation occurred 3) Navid was very present and responsive from our initial meeting all the way through to the end of the project.

He had good suggestions for how to achieve the yard we desired within the price point that we needed and when we weren't aligned on certain design ideas, he was very flexible with trying to bring our vision to life. He was also great about making sure his team was in complete alignment with the daily tasks. They huddled up at least 2 times per day to walk the yard and discuss project status.

When we first started searching for landscape companies I found it a bit discouraging that Outdoor Makeover was the only company with above average ratings. We usually like to compare 2-3 options but we couldn't find a comparable second option to even consider. I am glad we took a chance after our second meeting with Navid. We look forward to working with Outdoor Makeover again in the future.

While we had a general idea of some things we wanted done, Navid was able to envision a work product beyond that which we could have imagined. The Makeover Brothers made a great job for us! We had a huge stump in our front yard that made it impossible to have a nice front yard. We also noticed that we had water going to our basement from the 2 sides of the house so we really needed a complete landscape redesign with a few other projects at the back (veggie garden and green fence).
