Friday, Oct 1, 2021: I called Dean's to see if our warranty service call was still scheduled because they said they would be here at 8:00 am. I was told that Dean's sold the Knoxville business and that the owner had returned to his hometown in Meridian Mississippi. That happened last night at close of business when he released all of his employees.
The warranty work was for a faulty installation that is now not covered. We are on our own. It is faulty duct work and very expensive. I am stunned that someone would open a business, take so many people's money and skip town. the warranty I paid a lot of money for is now worthless.

My ac caught on fire and I called these people they came out and told me I would have to replace the unit and they worked with me while I got the money from my house insurance. Give them 100 percent on customer service and working hard. Including they ain't scared of pits. Love them I will always use these people Service: Install AC

Officer Jinks with KPD recommended I warn people online about Dean Heating and Cooling, and to call 911 if they come back. They double charged us for our HVAC unit ($9600) and promised for over a month that they would refund it, only for our credit card company to have to charge them back because Dean had never even tried to reverse the charge, per the credit card company.
They also continually lost paperwork regarding our covered services and tried to charge us for servicings within our warranty. Now they refuse to honor the warranty we bought with our unit and say they can't find any paperwork from our unit, though he also flip flopped and said he did have paperwork (though he wouldn't show us). Fast forward to tonight, the men refused to tell us their names after coming in my house.
We asked them to give us their names and leave and they refused to tell us. I called the company's office and they refused to tell me who the aggressive man was aside from the fact that he was the owner. This is just weird. The officer said I shouldn't have let them into the house, but how can you know that a servicer would make you feel in danger? Do not use them.

I have been trying to my heat pump fixed after in messed up it's been over two months and haven't heard anything from them. They installed the whole system almost 3 years ago and now it not working. It's still under warranty and they don't want to fix it. They keep putting me off. My recommendation is find some else the warrantys their work. Now i have to find some else to fix it and pay more money. I feel riped off from this company. I payed over 6k for something the stoped working in about three years

Our first service call was for our new heat pump (not installed by Dean) and the service was timely and well done. Our second service call was for a plumbing leak and that was a total disaster. The plumber not only did not fix the leak but prepared a quote indicating that we needed to re-plumb the entire house for a pretty high price. When we were unable to afford to total re-plumb we requested for just the leak to be repaired as it had been leaking for several weeks and was getting worse.
The price quoted was over $1200 for just the repair. We called another company who within an hour came, fixed the leak and charged less than $200, took pictures of all work and rechecked the area after turning the water back on. DO NOT USE Dean for plumbing work.

Beware I called Dean's to have a thermostat installed on a rental unit. They were quick to get me on schedule and I let the office knew that we would not be present during the installation. The technician arrived and called me a few times to help him locate the unit, etc. Once he was almost finished (about 6:30pm), he called me again and was struggling to connect the unit to the WIFI.
After several minutes of me trying to walk him through it, I decided that I would need to do that myself. He seemed relieved when I told him we would just connect it in the morning and he let me know that I needed to call the office to pay my bill. At this point it was mostly normal other than my concern about the tech and the WIFI. I was driving home at the time and assumed that the office would be closed by now so I had planned on calling them the next day. However, a few minutes later the office called me asking for my payment stating that I must pay upon completion ( This was not disclosed to me when scheduling my appointment ).
I expressed that I would like to inspect the work first and that I could give them a call the next day but the office continued demanding payment. The whole thing started to feel weird and my small concern over the tech grew worse. Why are they so adamant about getting my payment this second? Is this even a legitimate business? I informed my husband about this and he let the office know that we would need an invoice before we were able to pay anyway since this is a rental property.
We hung up the phone and again thought we would be dealing with this in the morning since by now it was almost 7pm. At 8:24pm I received a text message saying that they had went back into my home without my permission and removed the unit due to lack of payment. I am floored at level of unprofessionalism from this company. We ended up contacting Hiller out of Knoxville and they were able to come correct this the next day. We paid more for Hiller but at least they were a company we could trust.

Our AV stopped working so Dean's came out, looked at the system, and told us we had two options. 1) replace the copper tuning for $1000k (which they said was only a temporary fix) or replace the condenser for $6000. Thank goodness I called Artic Air for a second opinion. Turns out a capacitor had burned out and he got everything working perfectly for $300. DO NOT CALL DEAN'S! RIPOFF ARTISTS didn't even bother checking the electrical.

From Chuck who came out to fix my toilet within an hour and taught me something about plumbing and my new home, plus gave me information about Dean' Warranty Plan, which I didn't hesitate to sign up for because my own home warranty plan wouldn't talk to me directly on the phone and set a recorded appt. that was a week and a half out and was not true.this turned out to be the most fortunate call and relationship to a company I have ever made when I looked up on the internet under plumbing and saw a positive comment about them.
I had only been in TN three weeks in this VA home of mine. Then, last Saturday the temperature inside the house kept rising, l was able to call Deans PCH and talk to a nice lady who assured me if it got uncomfortable for me they would be out. At 90 degrees I called, and that's when I met Jeff, a true gentleman, who looked at my HVAC and showed me it was dead.
He called to see if he could get a replacement for it.and the fianance co. to get a loan. He assured me that I would be taken care of the next morning by another crew and he even opened my windows that I didn't know how. By 7:30 am AJ appeared and he was so kind to me also as he disassembled the old HVAC, then Michael and Austin came with the new unit to replace the 1995 unit.
All three were pleasant to be doing this on a Sunday for me. They kept saying "We are going to get you taken care of, don't worry." And they did! The whole crew at Dean's is an Outstanding operation and made me feel proud to be living here now And the CEO even called to see if everything was O.K., that never happened in California. Thank You All!

I am a property manager in Pigeon Forge, TN. I received a call from a guest at 6:30pm on Friday night of the spring Pigeon Forge rod run and they informed me the air conditioning was not working in one of our cabins. Well my immediate thought was oh no where am I going to find someone to handle this. I did a google search and quickly found Dean Plumbing Heating & Cooling LLC.
I gave them a call and got an immediate answer. I requested someone to come out on Saturday and they said they would have someone come out. By lunchtime on Saturday they had showed up and found the problem and gave us our options for getting it fixed. We knew our best option was to get a new unit. I was worried because it was nearing 1:00pm on a Saturday and I had promised the guest I would have the unit fixed.
I want you to know by 7:00pm that day we had a new unit installed and our guest were happy and we won't have to worry about this unit for a long time. Dean's even followed up with me about a week after the installation to ensure everything was still working good for us. I would highly recommend them and will be using them here on out.

I called Dean to come out and diagnose a water leak in my den. The technician came out, checked the leak indicator in the meter (which read no leak, ) never turned the water supply to the house off and told me "that's not a plumbing leak" and said the water may be coming from a leak in the roof, so I took him at his word. The leak continued for several days until Stethin Smith came out and recommended that I turn off the water supply to the house as they had seen tiny leaks in copper piping which wouldn't trip the leak indicator.
The leak stopped immediately as soon as I turned the supply off, proving it was a plumbing leak after all and I called a different company to perform the repair since I didn't trust Dean to do the work. I called Dean back and asked for a refund of the $100 after hours service call, since the technician didn't properly diagnose the problem.
This was a simple mistake and one I felt could be rectified with a refund for the call, but when I called I was denied the refund and basically called a liar as they said the technician did turn the water supply off and also that the technician was denied permission to cut into ceiling to search for leak, which if true, was simply because the technician repeatedly said it wasn't a plumbing issue.
I can't think of another company where I've had a less satisfying experience than with Dean Plumbing. I WOULD NOT recommend this company to anyone. If it were possible I would give 0 stars.

Make sure you get your quote in writing before the service is started! The service itself was perfectly fine, but we were overbilled $300 for the service completed (minor water leak right at the meter, no complications). We had been quoted $550 from one of the bigger companies in the area, but we errantly thought we would get better customer service from a smaller company.
Absolutely flabbergasted to get a bill for $850 once the work was complete! Called the office the next business day to make sure it wasn't just an error or find out why it was so much, but Management never returned the call. Lesson learned, the hard way. Good plumbing service, but terribly expensive! Had we been told it was going to be so much up front, we would have gone with the first company.

All these people are really nice. And even though they are like 2 hours away. I got a air and heating unit from them. And still paying for it. And when ever i have a problem they will drive from Knoxville TN to Bristol TN where I live. And fix it and no question asked. They all are really nice when they come. And nice on the phone. And i would recommend them to anyone.

Out to sell units. The guy (owner of the company) never even looked at my HVAC before telling me I needed a brand new one and he was going to charge me $7500 to replace it (3 ton unit). We had to give him an answer right then and there, we said okay (under pressure). I ended up calling him after he left maybe 10 minutes later trying to cancel, guy told me he was going to charge me a 10% restocking fee of $740 (you telling me that unit cost $7400 and you are only charging me $90 for labor? please.). Fine, whatever. Took over 3 WEEKS to get a partial refund and I don't expect I'll get a full refund ever.

Dean PHC was wonderful. Nathan was the technician that came to our house, and he was honest and thorough in his evaluation and diagnostics of our HVAC unit. He was also extremely kind to my daughter. The entire company truly went above and beyond in helping ensure that our home would be safe for my daughter who has severe epilepsy so we wouldn’t need to worry about her overheating in the hot summer temps that are coming. I can not recommend them enough. This company is honest and truly has a heart for this community.

We had a strange but alarming scream/squeal coming from our unit that (according to Google.) could indicate a refrigeration issue that would be detrimental to the unit and possibly harmful. They sent someone over as quickly as possible. The technician was friendly, capable and courteous. Great family owned business. We will definitely use them in the future for any HVAC need.

Our unit went out and within an hour had someone out to look at it. Gave me the best estimate and within hours had a whole new unit installed and running. Amazing service with customer care in the upmost priority. Any question was answered as detailed as possible. Will 100% call for any other hvac needs.

Very impressed with the service from Dean's. They were quick to schedule a tech and Tim called as he was on his way. His work was fast and efficient and he was very kind. Dean Plumbing Heating and Cooling is a top notch company! When my 40 year old HVAC system exhaled it's last breadth January 2016 it couldn't have come at a worse time-- I had to purchase a new vehicle two months prior after an accident... My savings and money for Christmas were wiped out. A couple weeks into January my unit caught fire and the whole system had to be replaced.
Mr Dean came to my home himself and understanding my situation really worked with me on the price and offered affordable financing. Since the system was installed there were a couple hiccups and a few things had to be tweaked-- but in those situations I had a tech at my house within hours and A class professionals had me back up and running. If it hadn't been for a couple bumps in the road I would not have learned how truly fortunate I was to have called Dean. Excellent service from day one and great support for all the months since. I highly recommend Dean Plumbing Heating and Cooling.

I had an older unit that had lasted 21 years...well it finally died. I called Dean Plumbing Heating & Cooling. They came out that day and gave me a quote. I agreed to their terms and they actually came and installed the unit that day. The technicians, Chase and Donte were great. They were very courteous and super efficient. I look forward to having them as my team in the future, when ever I need any services done. Thank you Chase and Donte you are 5 star in my book.

We were referred to this company by our home buyers warranty company. Initially we had a little trouble with the office manager. As soon as the owner got word of our issues, he took care of things! I believe the manager is no longer with this company. We were thankful the owner cared about his business reputation and got our problems resolved.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE. I am in the process of buying a house and contacted Dean PHC to do an HVAC inspection as part of the contract. They were good about getting this set up quickly but have yet to yield a report from this inspection 5 days later with this being the only thing I'm still waiting on for my contract to be completed for this house. I've contacted them multiple times and got excuses every time for why they haven't completed the report, with promises to contact me back which never happened. I honestly don't know how a business even functions like this! I WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU'RE WANTING PROFESSIONAL, DEPENDABLE SERVICE!

This company Dean Plumbing Heating and Air has been horrible to me. My schedule appointment was on Wednesday of last week 25th of May I still have no air and there been several attempts to contact the manager of this company but get what I wasn't able to get in touch with him. My house got damage because of unprofessional work that was been done.
They fell thru my ceiling and damage my floors. My house is in a complete mess. Still as of today my air is not install. The office lady don't care and the worker don't seem to care. I got the run around with this company. I should have called Hep to complete the job. This is the worth experience I ever encounter. There will be more updates if the job is ever completed. I am burning up in my house tonight again.

We have nothing but great things to say about our experience with Dean PH&C! Back in the middle of August, in a heat wave our AC went out. I called several places and no one was able to come but Dean. We had a new unit installed that very evening! The unit we purchased was out of stock and they installed an upgrade at no extra charge! We were cool and comfortable within 24 hours of contacting them!
In the beginning of March we got a call from them to come out for a complimentary service inspection. Wow! They did not forget their customers! Eric and Wes came out and were so thorough and professional, we were instantly at ease with them. They found some things we needed to address and were prompt and got us up to speed on safety issues etc. We can't say enough nice things about these 2 professionals! We will definitely be using Dean PHC again and will recommend them to our friends and neighbors!
