Repiping
Report
Are you experiencing low water pressure? Do you get rust-colored or yellow water? And worst of all, do you ever get scalded in the shower when someone flushes, uses a sink or turns on the washing machine? If these plumbing problems have been plaguing your home then repiping your house may be the solution.
Septic Services
Report
Proper diagnosis is the most effective solution to any septic problems you encounter. Although the most common cause of failure is neglecting to have your septic tank pumped on a regular basis, it may merely be a line blockage coming from the house. Our specialists are equipped with the modern equipment to determine the issue and present you with all the options.
Drain Cleaning
Report
Along these lines, environmental factors and general wear and tear can cause your sewer lines to become clogged. When your plumbing seems to be at a standstill, you need a sewer and drain cleaning service that can come in and tackle the problem thoroughly and efficiently. At Benjamin Franklin Plumbing our team of plumbers know how to get to the bottom of drain and sewer clogs.
Water Heaters
Report
Most water heaters are tank water heaters, which keep a tank full of hot water in your home at all times. Most household models hold between 20 and 100 gallons of water. When hot water is required the water is circulated to the open faucet. Conventional tanks utilize electric, natural gas, propane, oil, solar or geothermal power as an energy source to heat the water.
Plumbing
Report
As a homeowner, the last thing you'll want is a major plumbing problem that can cause sewage leaks and even structural damage to your home. That's where we come in. At Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, we offer a full range of residential and commercial plumbing services, and we are committed to providing professional, honest and affordable plumbing services on every job.

On 6/1 a tech came to my home for a water leak repair. After 30 minutes he came back with a 10k estimate. I paid almost 200 dollars for a quote that was severely lacking in detail. I was told it would take 2-3 days and cost $9700. I could pay 1 man $100 dollars an hour for 2 weeks at that rate. I called the company stating that I would like for someone to review that information and please explain why the cost is so high, but I have had no follow up on the matter. Be careful when dealing with this company.

So I called these guys because I had a 9 month old gas water heater that the pilot light would not stay lit. I am a mechanical person, It was a Sunday and couldn't find the part locally to buy. Called these guys and was told $129 for an emergency call out. I was fine with that and the guy showed up earlier than expected. He arrives, visually looks at it an diagnosis the problem.
He says I have the part on the truck, installed it will be $541. I told him I only paid $430 for the water heater. So while he is there I look up the part and find it for $125 and it is a factory replacement. So I ask him its $129 + $541 = $670 for the service and he says yes. I politely told him no and showed him the driveway after giving him $129 for a problem I diagnosed before he came.
In conclusion, I called Rheem and the unit is under warranty so parts were overnighted. Only and I mean only call these guys if you are extremely desperate. I can only imagine what they do to people without common sense.

Fantastic experience. They showed up in the original time window, was timely when dispatched said they were on they way too. Matthew did a thorough job listening to the problem and checking everything out. Before I knew it I had 3 well laid out options to my water heater problem. I asked how soon to get it done and he said right now : Project started at 3pm and he work steady and got it done real nice. Great guy, answered all the questions, and did great work. Highly recommend giving them a call.

We found a leak in our kitchen under the sink. Apparently the "new" disposal that was installed right before we bought this house two weeks ago was a dud. We called around 8:30pm and were given a time and upfront price of having a plumber sent to our home and we were even given a choice of time for either that night or the next morning. Obviously we booked someone for the next morning slot.
We were given a phone call before someone was dispatched the next morning around 8:30am and the plumber, Angel, came by around 9am or so. Angel was very professional and he even wore shoe coverings, a mask as well as gloves while he was in our home. We asked to have the disposal removed since that was the root of the leak issue and Angel was able to give us up front prices and options before doing anything. He even offered a military discount! That is unheard of these days! I would highly recommend using Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for any of your plumbing needs.

I typically don't do reviews unless something bad happens However, my experience with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Greenville SC was A+ service. We had a leak in a hard to get to place. I didn't know who to call and Benjamin Franklin was actually my third call. My first call was to a suggestion from nextdoor. They told me to call American Detection Services and to send them the results.
The second Plumber I called (the one with the fancy jingle) came out and said that they heard the leak but they would demo the whole bathroom to find it and I should call American Detection Services. I tried calling American Detection Services and was told that it would be a while before they could send someone out. I started googling detection services and came across Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.
They sent John out the next day. Not only did he find the leak but he explained to me all my options. John was able to arrange a crew to come take care of the problem the next day. The crew that came out were Stephen and Aaron. I can't say enough about these two guys. They were polite, courteous, hard working and professional. (Benjamin Franklin should give these guys a raise because its hard to find quality people). Anyway.these two guys explained everything to me as they were doing the job.
They didn't mind me asking questions and they were okay with me actually looking at the jobsite. Long story short. John came out and actually put effort into finding the problem (this meant something to me). Stephen and Aaron worked hard and did a good job. They actually salvaged a lot of what was in the bathroom which will cut down on other expenses. They also did it in a time frame that I could live with.

We recently had a back up in our kitchen sink. After breaking apart all the pipes under the sink, we had to call in the big guns. Matthew was our technician and he tried nearly 2 hours to get a grease clog. (from previous owner) unstuck. To no avail, he had to come back another day to try to cut the lines to see how bad the clog was. In the end, the grease was clogging about 30ft of pipes! Matthew cut all the bad (clogged) pipes out and ran brand new pipes under our crawl space.
He also unclogged a bathroom sink and diagnosed a previous plumber's work to tell us what was wrong. We've had 2 leaky outdoor water faucets and Benjamin Franklin has replaced both! Customer service was very nice and thorough. The technicians we've had, Matthew and Kevin (last year), were very knowledgeable, used high quality materials and both were very proficient. No one likes to have to call a plumber, but if and when you do, make these guys your go to. Awesome work every time!

I would recommend Benjamin Franklin for pretty much any plumbing need! I had a line issue and no other company even entertained an option to help me get it fixed. BF found the error from the previous installation, did what needed to be done to get things moving again, and even explained with video and pictures what caused the block. I am very. grateful for their help and I can't say enough about how wonderful the men were and how this company is one that actually works to help those in need! Their program that they recommended to me in order to get the job done, made it possible to fix what I needed to fix at this time and I couldn't be happier.

I highly recommend BFP. The service person was punctual and courteous and knowledgeable and fixed my plumbing issue correctly the first time. He explained everything in detail, completed the job efficiently, and cleaned up appropriately. The ladies in the office were friendly and helpful and respectful. Everyone I dealt with made me feel like a valued customer.

Kevin Connolly is our guy - we purchased a home built in the early 60's with all original cast iron plumbing - Over the past 3 years we have section by section replaced almost 50% of it with PVC, under the sinks bathrooms and kitchen, replaced the old clay clean outs, re-set every toilet, replaced our hot water heater, installed a sump pump, replaced our washer connections, and bath / shower fixtures - every bit of that work has been done by Kevin.
He is on time every time, professionalism is always above par, there never is a shock in price, the quality of work is superb, everything is done right the first time. He is amazing at his trade, his takes pride in his work and always delivers. He understands the home owner, a budget, needs vs wants. He has created a loyal fan in us, I would never allow another plumber to come out to our house. Kevin has won us over time and time again - there is none like him.
He is simply the best. I have and will continue to recommend your services. Agility, collaboration, respect, honesty - that is what Kevin means to us. Thank you for being you, sincerely the Farr Family.

Jonathan was my plumber. I live in the Greer area. He was so nice and professional and took time to explain all my options. He did not pressure sales as some people do. He replaced the 2006 water heater we had in our home. He had to come back out 2 times because of issues that I was concerned about and he was kind and didn't get upset or talk down to me being older and probably a little over concerned for the issue.
This is the second time I have used Ben Franklin and I will use them in the future if it is needed. The customer service staff are very friendly and helpful. This has been a great experience. I would definitely recommend. Thanks Anita

WE LOVE BEN FRANKLIN PLUMBING! Every employee we have had contact with, from the ladies in the office to everyone who has come out to perform work for us has been friendly, knowledgeable, and great at their jobs. Today we had a nice man, Vincent, come out to fix a leaking water closet. In the past, we have had them out to fix a leaking sink and to pump our septic tank. Each time it has been a different employee, but they were all top notch. They take their work & customer service seriously. Thank you, once again, Ben Franklin! We love you!

The unethical plumber. Terrible company, rude and unprofessional staff. The owner won't return calls. They came out to install a water heater and put a crushed heater under my house and said NOTHING about the damage. I had to take extra time off work, mileage and cost to refill the 2nd heater they HAD to install once I caught them in their attempt to try and get away with putting in a damaged unit. Quinten inspected and approved the 1st (damaged) heater. Sandra in the office called me "beligerant" for complaining. James the tech supervisor called me " argumentative" for asking why the replacement was different then the 1st one installed.
They put commercial grade in the 1st time and replaced it with residential grade. James told me he could go get commercial grade and charge me the difference even though that's what they put in the 1st time.total jerk. The owner Harlem Cottingham won't return calls, apparently couldn't care less once he's got your $. After speaking with the owner, Hallum Cottingham he was very concerned and apologetic for the service I got.
He was unaware of what had transpired and after our conversation I was satisfied with the resolution to the problem. Therefore I am changing my rating to 5 stars. Thanks for taking the time and effort to make it right.

I had leaking pipes below my kitchen sink. Response was quick. They replaced a worn out disposal and reconfigured the plumbing so that the backup from running the dishwasher was minimized. My wife even convinced the guy to install a new faucet for her at no charge while he was there. Great all the way around.

We had a severe plumbing problem that needed immediate attention and the first person I thought of was Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. The service was immediate and the service technician could not have been any nicer. Once the job was done the bathroom even looked cleaner that it had before he arrived.

Kevin, was courteous and easy to communicate with, once I explain the problem of running water without finding the source he immediately start inspecting the whole system bringing to my attention some other things that I should address, finally locating the problem stemming from the water heater in the attic.

I was really skeptical at first about choosing Ben Franklin plumbing because they are a bigger company, and everyone kept telling me to go to a mom and pop plumber who wouldn't kill me on price. I have had a couple of bad experiences since buying my home (hence having to repipe a house in have owned 3 months), and was hoping that this wasn't going to be one of them.
