Critical:Professionalism Because of a change of my situation, I was told I would be able to get a refund. I never received it, then I tried for 2 weeks to get the manager to contact me, and she would not. Very disappointed. I need additional keys made and I will use someone else. I do not recommend this company.

I went to this place to get a replacement key fab for my equinox as I only had one key to my car. It took little time for my key to arrive but when I brought my vehicle in to be serviced I waited in the lobby for quit sometime. Granted there was another costumer in front of me. No big deal, but the thing I didnt like is the counter person never greeted me.
When it was finally time to make my key it struggled to get it right. Then got the new key stuck in my driver side door and I had an even bigger mess than before I sought out this place of business. Now my initial key doesn't work to unlock my car and not only that I ended up never even getting a new key fan because I was so frustrated. They did refund my money but never fixed my now broken lock on my car. Frustrating is an understatement.

It took most of the day and two visits for the technician to cut me three keys that don't work. They didn't work when he left and he knew it. I emailed and complained about being charged full price (or at all), and was not taken seriously nor was I even partially refunded. I just took the car to a friend and he was able to rekey it in no time and the keys work great. Why could he do this and not the technician?!

The trunk on my Road King is locked. Yes, I managed to drop the key and leave the parking lot. Not finding the key after searching, I contacted P'cola Lock & Safe. I was assured by the person that answered the phone that it would be no problem to pick the lock and make a new key. I traveled 45 minutes through traffic to their shop. I was informed that #1, the machine to make the replacement was down and #2 the pick needed was broken also! Had I been told that on the phone, I would not have been in their shop to begin with.
I was assured that the tool might work and they would try. After repeated attempts, the lock bezel was scratched through to the brass and still locked! A second locksmith at another business attempted to pick it with an identical pick and determined the lock was damaged internally and drilling was the only option. They refused to attempt that, fearing additional damage to the trunk.
Back to P'cola Lock & Safe we go. No dice. I was told by the employee who attempted to pick the lock that they would "make it good". Trunk with clothes and meds is now in their possession awating their "lead locksmith" to assess the problem at some undetermined time after 11am TOMORROW morning. So. We had a receptionist that gave out bad information followed by two employees who chose to knowingly use a broken tool to attempt a repair.
Not sure that's good business. This is only a preliminary review. I will update as the situation progresses. UPDATE As you can see, the rating went from 1 to 4 stars. The only reason it's not 5 stars is that there was an issue to begin with. To the good, they called the next morning bright and early (8:15 and 8:34am) to tell me they had the trunk unlocked and I could pick it up.

The manager offered offered several options and we settled on ordering a new cam and shipping it to my house. All of the other issues were resolved. Needed a key made for my boat's ignition switch. I dropped off the switch in the afternoon and received a call the next morning to let me know it was available! Though I said I wanted two keys made, they only had made one, but the second was made before I arrived in 20 minutes to pick it all up. They insisted that I bring it back if it did not work.
Very professional and honorable people! I wish more businesses operated with these good, traditional values! Oh, when it came time to pay, they actually said that they found key blanks that would cost LESS than the price they quoted me, so I paid LESS than they quoted! WOW! Friendly, nice people!

Locked my keys in my car outside my work building, so I gave them a call at 6:40pm. They said they would be at my location in 10 minutes. Surprisingly at 6:49pm I get a call from the dispatcher saying he's outside. Very punctual! I was impressed. From here everything went downhill. As their cost to get the keys is $75 I was going to pay with card (which I've done before).
When I said "I'm paying with card" the dispatcher said "I'm only accepting cash or check right now". I did not have that amount at the moment, so I told him that they should have mentioned that when I called. Therefore I was going to call another locksmith that was accepting card. He then started saying "no, well now you have to pay me" even tho he hasn't done anything just yet and didn't alert me of the card situation on the phone.
He insisted on me paying him and even followed me back inside the store. One of my coworkers had to take the time to take me to the atm. When I approached him he handed me my keys. HE HAD UNLOCKED MY CAR WITHOUT ME THERE! SO SKETCHY! I handed him $80. To which he replied "You dont have change?" Rolled his eyes and said "of course you don't" He then made me go get the change because he did not have any. And when I came back he simple said "Yeah, sorry if it was an inconvenience". Seriously the worst costumer service I've encountered in a while.

Edit - 4/16/29: After I posted the original review, the owner reached out to me about the job that was done. He indicated that I should have been told about "beauty plates" that are installed behind the locks to cover the damage that is done when removing difficult locks. He offered to order them and have them overnighted so that he could have them installed while we were home.
In fact he succeeded in making this happen and the result is very satisfactory (see image with plate behind the lock). So I have increased my rating by two stars and I say "Thank you" for your response. Original review: I am not impressed. The price for a home visit and replacement deadbolt is reasonable enough and they came in a very timely fashion.
But I think the job was done poorly. The aluminum door was left pretty marred and I took 20 minutes vacuuming the metal filings out of the indoor-outdoor carpet from drilling out the lock. The tech did offer to vacuum - I said I'd take care of it - but I think that experience would have suggested to put something down to catch these filings rather than letting them fall into the carpet. Also, torquing the lock with a 10" screwdriver, one should expect that it is going to damage the door as it did. So, I have a new lock costing over $125 but I also have a door that looks worse for wear than it did before the job. I'll look elsewhere if I have to get another lock repaired.

Dustin and Liza are two of the most patient and kindest people I have ever met. My car was being difficult and they stayed well past closing to ensure the job was done correctly. They treated me like a VIP. I had to replace a broken door lock and I called them to schedule a service call. They told me I could save a considerable amount of money if I would bring the broken lock in to their store. When I called back and said I could not remove the lock from the door, they talked me through the process. The lock turned out to be beyond repair, and they sold me an excellent replacement lock.
They quickly rekeyed it and told me how to install it. I was extremely impressed with their genuine desire to save me the added cost of a home service call. They clearly want customers over a quick sale. I would recommend this company unconditionally.
