Kaufman Roofing

They work fast and put a lot of effort into cleaning up. When they did my roof they missed a spot of rotten wood, and came back and fixed it up promptly and well. Nobody's perfect, but Kaufman stands behind their work and makes it right.

We recently had Kaufman Roofing replace our 35+ year overlay roof and gutters on our Como Park home. I'm sure this was a "treat" for the roofers to have to take off two layers of shingles but they were here at 6:30 am, prepping the yard and my gardens and then up on the roof at 7:00 am, sharp! The entire home and our garage were completed by 5:00 pm that evening.

The gutters were replaced the following week by another Kaufman team. We were pleased with all the Kaufman team from start to finish! The roof looks wonderful and I am so impressed that in all the weeding I have done in the gardens, since completion, I have found only 3 roofing nails. The roofing team did a great job both up on the roof and in respecting my yard and gardens! We would definitely recommend Kaufman Roofing to friends and family.

Fantastic experience with Kaufman from start to finish. I started looking for a vendor to repair our small flat roof in fall of 2021. Kaufman was first on-site and quickest to submit their bid. The pricing was very competitive and an easy choice, considering how knowledgable their sales rep Isaiah was and how professional the entire process had been.

They tried sneaking the project in before the snowfall but ended up making the call to wait until warmer weather in order to do the project right. Luis is about as professional as they come and was great at accommodating my schedule to get the roofers over as soon as possible this March. Overall, very satisfied with the workmanship by Kaufman and would recommend them to anyone.

I used Kaufman Roofing for 2 roof replacements One for my home and one for my cabin. They also did a gutter installation. They provided excellent quality service and I was very impressed with everyone I dealt with from office staff, sales and the installation crews. Especially happy with their prompt scheduling.

These guys did an amazing job all around. They came out when I wanted a quote. Asked about what I wanted and times that would work for me. Helped me work with my insurance company. When it was time to do the work they were started to done in less than 5 hours. My roof looks amazing and came with a great warranty. They do great follow up and have great customer service. If I evern need a new roof I will use them again.

We had a wonderful experience with Kaufman! Their quote was about $10,000 less than another major Twin Cities roofing company and they were prompt, easy to work with, and very communicative. In particular, Tom went above and beyond for us by contacting a chimney repair person that he works with to get us in for a chimney repair on a tight timeline before the roof could be replaced. I had an all around great experience with KR. This is a company I would recommend to family, friends, and colleagues. They are professional, affordable, and on time! Which in this day and age is hard to find! The entire roof replacement project was finished in 2 days. They were actively communicating throughout the whole project and visited the site multiple times to check on progress.

Kaufman Roofing replaced our roof last year. They did a good job on the roof, but I am not happy with the gutter install they left me with. Our previous gutter drained completely; the new one does not, and leaves standing water the full length of the gutter. I have asked them to remedy the problem but they say they cannot. For the amount of money we spent, I would expect better.

Kaufman installed a roof on my house over 20 years ago. In preparation for adding solar panels, I needed to reroof. Kaufman once again did a wonderful job on my roof. I have a large roof and needed some vents moved due to the future placement of solar panels. Kaufman did everything that I asked. I needed some custom sheet metal work around my dormers and that was done perfectly.

I am attaching two photos. One shows the fitting they did around one of my chimney. The other photo shows where they installed a trim board where some of my siding had rotted away. It looks like it was always there. I am a very happy customer. I also appreciate that the company has been around for a long time and will be there in the future if I need them. I have added drone pictures that Kaufman shared with me. My roof is beautiful.

We can't say more wonderful things about Kaufman Roofing. From the moment we contacted them, through the completion of the project everyone we worked with was extremely helpful, prompt, knowledgeable, and professional. We are so happy with the look and quality of our new roof, and will be using them for all figure projects! Would highly recommend them to anyone.

I'm grateful for Yelp offering dependable reviews. I wish we would have checked the write ups on Kaufman Roofing because these people are just like all these other scoundrel operations. They are not honorable and their follow up is terrible. They do shotty work and care little about the damage they did to our property. If you're anything like me, you have difficulty in hiring people to work on your home. Perhaps you feel like you've had consistent poor workmanship and that people just don't care. I could tell you stories. Well, you can take it from me; Kaufman is one company you can hire with confidence. These are people that really care about doing excellent work.

My go-to man Tyler was professional, polite, friendly and responsive. But everybody I delt with at Kaufman was equally professional. The end result was a top-notch roof, trustworthy pricing, terrific service, and general care of my property. You know when an experienced city inspector comes by to check things over, and he hears that Kaufman did your roof, and responds, "oh, then you won't have any problems, and if you did, they'd back you up", that's a good sign. I have already recommended Kaufman to family and friends.

Bob Kaufman and his crew are the very best! We bought a home in Minneapolis and found some roof issues that were not the fault of Kaufman. Despite the fact that the roof was out of warranty, Bob replaced it at cost of materials. They have done other work for us and it has all been done timely, expertly, and at reasonable cost! Professional and helpful through the entire process. But I was most impressed by the crew. Wow, seriously, these guys are the hardest working group of guys I've ever seen. They did an immaculate job on our roof, and they had to do it in freezing temperatures. We're so happy with our choice of Kaufman, even if the initial estimate wasn't the least expensive. The final quality was worth the extra expense, and then some!

We had major tile work and custom built in gutters replaced. Kaufman has maintained our roof through multiple generations of our family. This was one of those once in a generation projects. We were very pleased with both the job done and the people who did it. Everyone on site and in the office was very responsive and they took ownership of the project.

Kaufman Roofing installed a cement tile roof on my house and garage over 20 years ago and return annually to check the status of the roof. I've been fortunate to not require anything more than minor work on rare occasions. The fellows who have done the original work and follow-up care are top notch professionals and very pleasant to deal with.

I was very pleased with the quality of work, the communication throughout the project (Corey is exceptional when it comes to customer service), promptness of crews arriving, and the job site was left spotless. Several of my neighbors commented on the high quality of workmanship, and how neat and tidy the yard was after the project was finished.

Met with Kaufman Roofing today to get an opinion on replacing a 90 year old slate (asbestos) tiled roof for a client. A roof that would cost a small fortune to remove and replace. After looking at the roof they determined that the roof wasn't in need of repairs/replacement. Both my clients and I appreciated their honesty and integrity, and felt they needed to be recognized for this. Thank you again Tom and Kaufman!

Kaufman roofing did a very nice job on my roof and gutters that had been damaged in a hail storm. I would refer them to anyone that needed a new roof as my sister did to me.

We had our flat garage roof redone with a rubber membrane which also required new metal capping on top of the parapet walls. The crew was very hard working, efficient and very pleasant. The first day they completed the tear off and refitting of the membrane.

When we moved into our 1912 2 story home in 1998 with a steep pitch and different levels they did a fantastic job and then back again in 2015 when winter winds did some damage to some shingles. They not only replaced missing shingles but had checked to make sure no others were missed and cut down some small branches brushing the roof by the front door.

Our roof line was three stories up so we were completely amazed at how professional and efficient Kaufman Roofing was in replacing it. All the workers were belted and roped for safety with us thinking this was going to be a 2 or 3 day project.

Kaufman Roofing replaced the roof on our three story home. The roof was very old and had even started leaking. The Kaufman process was outstanding from start to finish, the roof looks great, does its job, and the crew did excellent work--very skilled, great crew boss, and friendly workers too!

I have always been happy with Kaufman roofing: they have done work for me on 3 or 4 separate occasions. Their employees are courteous and hard-working and communicate well and they do quality work at a reasonable price. Spring thaw will tell if my latest Kaufman job solved my interior leak, but I know that if it didn't they'll be willing to work with me to help me solve the problem.

At first, they were very nice and explained things. But once the work was completed, they were disorganized, and asked for my address multiple times (I do not live at the property where work was done), and never explained what work they did. I called them on several occasions for someone to call me. They never sent an invoice or had anyone call to explain the work done.

Then 85 days later I get an angry call from the owner who wants payment. I call immediately and tell them that I never received an explanation of the work done or an invoice, and they're angry with me, because how dare I call them "incompetent" (though I never did call them incompetent, I just told them I wanted an explanation of the work done and how much it cost).

At least the owner admitted that they caulked using inexpensive materials--which probably won't last very long, and which they obviously overcharged me for. So what work they did is probably completely useless. So, I certainly will not be going back to them for anything.

If only I had a time machine to go back and fix the mistake of hiring Kaufman. If you're looking for sloppy workmanship, poor work ethic, crooked shingle lines, and unskilled foreign laborers, then Kaufman is the company for you. I had to single handedly point out over a dozen mistakes to Kaufmann over several days to end up with a roof that, unfortunately, looked worked worse then the one torn off.

After several conversations with their onsite foreman, project manager, and owner, I lost confidence in Kaufman to do any more work for me. If you're considering to have Kaufman do your roof, I urge you to look elsewhere.
