Pearl Painters

We hired Pearl Painters to paint the exterior of our two-story home in Tigard, OR. We initially met with the owner Brian to get a quote on the work. He gave us an overview of what the work would entail as well as educated us on process and techniques they employ to do the job. He then sent a written detailed proposal via email and even recorded a comprehensive video walkthrough around our house, covering the scope of work.

When the work started, the first day involved a thorough wash of the exterior as well as fungicide treatment for the areas that required it. A few days later followed the rest of the prep work, which included masking, sanding, caulking, priming, etc. And then was followed by the painting of the exterior, which included the siding, the trim, garage door, the front door, and the shutters. Liane and the rest of the crew did such an amazing job painting from start to finish, gave great communication, had wonderful attention to detail, and cleaned up the work site when they were done.

When the job was done, we did a walkthrough around the house to check for any touchups and sign off on the completion of the job. We had such an excellent experience with Pearl Painters and we wish that all professional service business followed such a high standard as them. We highly recommend them and would hire them again for future projects!

Just over 20 years ago our family met Brian the owner of Pearl Painters. He painted the exterior of our first home in Aloha, and from that point forward we used him on all our other homes for both interior and exterior painting projects. We recently built our dream home over by Portland Golf Club. It was a home that I had dreamt of my whole life. When it came time to select a painting company we sought out a few different bids just to make sure their pricing was still competitive and it was. Brian also put us at ease once again with a very detailed scope of work video on what his team was to complete.

The video was super helpful for us as we were able to re-watch and make sure that our before tasks that we committed too were complete before they arrived. The video is one of the ways Brian's team made me and my husband (who is always skeptical of contractors) feel comfortable that nothing would be missed. Another big thing was the daily communication from Craig, the onsite crew leader.

I could tell that they really cared and wanted to make sure we were happy through the whole process. Each day my husband and I were provided a detailed explanation of what happen, how far the project was and we were shown the work and able to ask questions as needed. At the end of the project we were given ample time to inspect, there was only a small list of things that needed attention and they were quick to get things fixed to our satisfaction.

We have referred Pearl Painters to several of our friends and family members, they are truly the best in the business. They deliver above and beyond service and exceptional communication. We would say that Brian truly seems more like family than just some random painter. We look forward to many more projects as time goes. We've used Pearl Painters for both our interior and exterior painting needs since we moved to Portland 7+ years ago. For our most recent project, in November 2021, they repainted our kitchen cabinets and the master bath vanity, both of which had gotten scuffed up from our use of the indented finger pulls on them. In addition to painting, they also installed pull hardware on all the doors and drawers.

The final product looks great, and we couldn't be happier! Pearl isn't the least expensive, but we feel that you get what you pay for. Brian and his team are professional, do quality work, and are pleasant to deal with. I recommend them highly!

Pearl Painters did an amazing job painting the interior of our house last week. Very professional and reliable crew. They were there when they said they would be, super respectful of the house and us (we were working from home most of the time), cleaned up after themselves, and had us do a walkthrough once they were finished so that we could point out any areas of concern, which they remedied asap. This was my first experience hiring painters and we'd work with them again for sure!

We employed Pearl Painters to repair walls damaged by the removal of curtain rods. These were not surfaces that simply needed touch up paint, for years ago they had been painted and topped with a glaze to give a special effect. Two competent professionals, Craig and Liane, were able to perfectly retrieve the original beauty to the point the repair absolutely cannot be seen. The whole job was done in less than a day. Impressive.

Pearl Painters just finished painting the whole interior of my house. After my initial phone inquiry, Brian arranged a time to come to the house and look at the job. After discussing the project Brian did a very indepth video, documenting exactly what was to be done, what kind of paint we would use, all the details of the job. It made everything VERY clear.there were no surprises. Brian is extremely knowledgable and professional and stands by his work 100%.

From initial contact with Brian to the day we shook hands when work was completed was absolutely professional and a great experience all the way. The. video walk around identifying each and every step of the work to be performed and what we agreed upon was surely an asset to us, since many details were hard to recall occasionally. What an asset. The crew was friendly, professional and patient with our questions.

They worked diligently and low key. Each day the job site was cleaned and supplies/ equipment placed in trailer overnight so no mess was left out. The end result is an outstanding success. BTW, the chair of the HOA lives 5 houses down, so he saw the progress and workmanship. Came by and remarked how professional the work was and the completed work was beautiful. Contacted Pearl Painters about our painting needs. Unfortunately, we live outside their service area (WA state) and they are not licensed to work in our state. Brian still took the time to walk me through all my options and gave me resources for DIY. Very thankful for his help and the time he gave me on the phone. If you live in Portland hire this company!

Brian and his team did a great job for us. They painted our house and we were so pleased with their work that when we put up a new structure on the site we had Brain and his team stain that building. They were very professional and did a great job of keeping us informed on the status and progression of the work. We hired Pearl Painters after a recommendation from our flooring people. Since we were in the process of putting in new flooring and then painting cabinets, we wanted top notch pros to handle it. We recently used Pearl painters to tackle the exterior of our house. We knew when it came time to complete this project it would be tough due to the nature of our house and the different textures but Pearl painters were amazing. The pre-work of coming out and walking through what our thought process was, what colors we were thinking of doing and. getting their advice on what has worked and was hasn't was invaluable.

The team onsite was amazing and very professional. Due to the rain the start date was pushed back but they were there every morning at 7am to get caught up and even came out on the weekend. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their house painted!

Brian and the guys at Pearl did an outstanding job painting the exterior of our house which was in desperate need of repainting. While I couldn't get other companies to come out and bid the job Brian was here right away. They will be back in October to scrub clean the interior walls of our house and repaint. Can hardly wait.

Pearl Painters completely painted our 5,000 square foot condominium including all doors, metal riser on stairway to second level, and an updated decorative finish in the entry. We also used the services of an artist employed by this company to refinish a mirror and advise us on other items. This company is extremely professional with excellent communication during the entire project.

Brian and his team were booked out beyond the time that we could wait to have our job done, and it's our loss! He still spent almost 10 minutes on the phone with me trying to get a grasp for the painting company that would be right for the type of commercial project I'm running. Pearl Painters removed wall paper in 8 bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen. Repair of plaster walls after wall paper removal. Painting of ceilings, walls, and trim of 3100 sq ft interior. Faux finish of living room and dining room walls. Stripes painted on bathroom wall. Brian is an artist. He was invaluable in helping me to choose colors and finishes.

Pearl Painters, painted the entire interior of our 3800+ square ft home including all ceilings, doors, trim and walls. They also removed wallpaper in a large kitchen/family room and 4 bathrooms. The project was performed over 3 1/2 weeks. Color consultation was provided prior to the starting. They also prepared and painted the exterior of our three level house.

They sanded, scraped, and prepped the house and painted it with four different colors. This company really pays a lot of attention to the details. They were pleasant to work with. It took about six weeks to get the job done. I would recommend them to anyone and I would use them again.

It all started with a quote for the services to be provided, which did not change. We added a few changes and the updated fees were in line with the request and accurate. Pearl Painters were more expensive than other bids but they provide a premium service so you get what you pay for. Brian was extremely professional, helpful, and detail oriented.

He was always very clear with explanations and setting our expectations from the beginning. The walk-through he had with my wife and our general contractor was well run and he established a high level of trust and credibility right away. He is organized and runs a tight ship which was refreshing after a couple of poor experiences with other subcontractors during our project. Brian explained the differences in paint options and helped us determine the right combination of paint and sheen, as well as colors.

This was extremely helpful in getting the right selection for the look we were going for. Brian's team started on time based on the schedule we locked down from the beginning. We usually had a team of 2 or 3 people at the house priming, painting, and various other activities. The team was very careful inside the house and cleaned up after they were done extremely well. Pearl Painters were essentially the last subcontractor and project in our 14 month remodel and they helped us finish in style. My interior designer suggested I paint my maple fireplace, and recommended Pearl Painters to do the work. I was very apprehensive about painting my beautiful wood a dark color-it was a big surface and a mistake could ruin the look of the room. Judith Spychalski came out and worked with us to create a palette and finish that would look good. When I had budget reservations she worked with us until she got it within my price range, which was no small task as it was half of where we started.
