Launched in 1994 by David Larkin, DAL Builders started out as a company focused on new construction, building custom and semi-custom homes in Northern Illinois for several developers and architects. Since then, we've expanded into a full-service remodeling firm with offices in Chicago and Wilmette, serving both residential and commercial clients.

We manage both small, thousand-dollar remodels and large, multimillion-dollar new construction projects. Our staff includes experienced tradesman and seasoned project managers-and we work closely with a team of licensed and insured sub-contractors to provide quality and cost-effective prices.

Tim at DAL Builders was great to work with. He provided several different estimates between composites and treated lumber. This made is easy to decide what fit our budget. His crew was amazing and super nice. Wes, Ron and Brandon worked really hard in some very difficult conditions(it rained a lot and was really hot out). They showed up early everyday and were eager to get to work.

It was immediately obvious they new their stuff and that we were going to get a great deck. The deck came out beautiful and we could not be happier with the whole process. I highly recommend DAL Builders.

.I hired Dave from DAL for his honesty. I needed the front stairs of my porch replaced, and I had some misconceptions about using natural vs synthetic materials. While other contractors didn't question my request, Dave explained the positives and negatives of both types of materials, which helped me decide.

.I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. The guys at Dal are great. Dave and his crew rebuilt our old basement and converted a half bath to a full bathroom in our basement. We had a few water issues in the past and Dave was able to pinpoint the source as being the bathroom drains were directly attached to the sewer.

.They were great every step of the way. We just bought the house, and were relying on the inspection report to tell us what we needed to do. DAL Builders moved the cabinet without breaking the granite, and they added the vents and insulation quickly and efficiently. The workers cleaned up after themselves, and the price was great.

.Demolished old bathroom and installed a new tile floor, it's perfect. Installed a new sink and very difficult wall mounted faucet. New drywall on wall. It looks beautiful. Also found large leak upstairs and repaired large portion of damaged ceiling with drywall, some of the best drywall work I've seen. You can't tell. Repaired several large holes in walls too.

DAL undertook several major jobs for us: tuckpointing our house, rebuilding our deck, and gut-rehabbing our bathroom. They also completed several minor related and unrelated repair and painting jobs. DAL started work on 8-14 and completed all of the work on 9-11. The project manager made certain my spouse and I were completely satisfied with all major and minor work and came back several times to complete some small finishing work that we requested after DAL left the site. My spouse and I were completely satisfied with the price and quality of the work. We would hire DAL again.

.DAL built a wonderful deck for me earlier in the summer. At the time of that estimate I explained to Dave Larkin, the owner, some of the problems I had with my basement. Later, we scheduled work for the ejector system. However, before that could be installed, we experienced another major rainstorm and backup.
