I didn't have work done or even see an estimate. BUT I received a return phone call within 24 hours. Unfortunately they are not conducting work in my area, which I can understand and more than anything appreciated a response. That alone, to know you would not be doing work for me, but to just respond to my inquiry speaks volumes. Whoever receives work from them, I do hope it goes well and best in business to Pool Builders. Thank you for the courtesy of returning a phone call.

Avoid this company at all costs! They are the most unprofessional group of people that I've ever dealt with. I gave my neighbor permission to access my property to have Pool Builders install a pool for them back in June, it's the end of December and my yard is still a wreck. It was a common practice to see one of their employees or contractors driving their trucks between the two homes, after having been told not to do it from day one.
They are unresponsive, leave trash and other building materials stacked up for weeks or even months at a time, and I had to contact the City of Parkland to have them remove a pile of rubbish that had been sitting between the two houses for weeks. I spoke to one of their workers a couple of weeks back, he said "once they dig the hole they've got you, you are on their time then." Words that have been proven to be true and it's not even my pool! Do not use this company!

We signed the contract for building a pool with POOL BUILDERS INC, on September 14, 2020. As up to date Dec 26, 2021, more than one year after signing we are still with uncompleted work and with out a completion date yet. The floor has been not propertly installed twice, the Pump has been installed in a different place that marked on the plans. We are in the process of filing a complain against this contractor with the Department of Business & Professional Regulation, the delay has caused us problems not just with the fence company but our neighbors and is very frustrating to see not only that the project is not moving alone but that what has been done is not done propertly.
We are paying a lot of money not to get the job done properly. The company uses sub-contractors, they don't answer our emails. We are desperate to take action over this big issue, this has stop us from puting our house in the market to sell wich it was in our plans. It has been a long and arduous year having to deal with this company. Every time we call them to ask about an update they "take messages" and we never get a call back.

They said it'd take 3-4 month for a new pool build, it's been 3 times that. They also use subcontractors who simply do not care about the damage they will do to your property, and it is substantial (in the thousands). awful communication, very non-responsive. the sales guy sweet-talks you into signing on the dotted line and then you end up with some barley-communicating person who has not clue what's going on. terrible experience, would not recommend.

First off let's start with John the sales associate, absolutely a pleasure to deal with! My property situation wasn't the easiest to design and he blew it out of the park! I had three other estimates and without pool builders even knowing the dollar amount of there competition they beat them by a far far amount. They also include a lot of things that other companies do not, so make sure you do your research before choosing.
From start to finish everything that was stated was done, keep in mind there's always going to be slight delays on certain portions of the build but they'll keep you notified through the entire process. My supervisor was DJ and I can't say enough good things about him and how he builds pools. All questions answered and if there was a problem he got it handled. Robert in the office who I think is a construction coordinator was a pleasure to deal with, also made sure everything was on time and kept me up to date when needed. Honestly, I'm not one to give reviews.
I really had the best experience with this company. All my friends who have used others for there pools mentioned to me what a nightmare the process will be. Pool builders delivered and there were no nightmares, just an honest group of people doing what they do best. building pools! I'll update this review with more pictures when landscaping is complete.

I purchased my home without a pool and researched pool building companies in south florida after hearing many recommendations to use pool builders I called in February of 2018finally purchasing in feb2019. The salesman John Delray which I highly recommend was very professional came out immediately sat and picked through many different designs finally deciding on one.
So we "thought" after a few months of thought we decided on upgrading the tile and pavers. John was very accommodating along with the service manager Dominic who gave us a very good introduction on how to take care of pool and all the cool lights/gadgets. Thank you pool builders, John Delray, and Dominic Colucci highly recommend this company.

PBI built our pool 5 years ago. The build was a difficult experience. They used the wrong grout color for the waterline tiles. Other problems too numerous to mention existed. We learned to accept it just to get them out of our lives. However, after the build was finished numerous problems started. Our pool deck began collapsing in numerous places.
The subcontractor they used, who finished laying the pool deck at night by I-Phone flashlight, didn't water jet the sand to get it below the pool shell. Sub had to comeback and lift at least half our deck to bring in more sand. Then our pool finish began to discolor and fade. PBI's customer field rep came out. He had no idea. They brought in the Diamond Brite manufacturer rep.
He stated he didn't' see any color. Keep in mind this was when pool was about 2 years old. They acid washed the pool. It helped a little but problems continued. To this day, PBI has never admitted what went wrong. Theories abound from sub contractor doing something wrong or a bad batch of Diamond Brite. PBI redid the pool finish after several months, using a different sub. AGAIN, they used the wrong grout color for the tiles on the steps and shelves inside the pool.
Fast forward to Feb 2020. We began to notice yellow discoloration of the glass tiles on our sheer descent/waterfall wall. The color was behind the glass. I contacted PBI and they seemed disinterested. They never sent out anyone to look at it to help give an answer as to why this was happening. We were forced to bring other companies in to evaluate and give estimates to fix. 3 companies came out and also noticed that our pool finish looked horrible. Theories abounded from bad trowel work to acid washing the finish too soon after it was troweled under exposing and over exposing the material due to differences in moisture levels of new materials We selected a reputable contractor to fix the wall and do another acid wash of the finish.
Upon that company breaking off the sheer descent/fountain wall tiles, we discovered the yellowing was caused by yellow mold. Water had been penetrating behind the tiles. PBI's sub used the wrong trowel with shallow grooves. They also used the wrong type of thin set for glass tiles. Instead of glass shattering as it was being pried off, entire sheets of the mosaic tile came off as a whole. Suspecting and now confirmed, they used the wrong thin set and trowel on the waterline tiles.
Now they must come off. While the pool is drained and inspected we found 5 hollows in the finish. A hollow is an area where air exists between the Diamond Brite and gunnite. When you tap on it sounds hollow, hence the name. This was likely done by the first sub and not repaired by the 2nd. A hollow can fail if stepped on or hit, leaving a hole in your finish.
They can be identified visually initially, by dark circles or semi circles in your dry pool finish. (See last two photos) Also, spot testing of the finish using an acid wash proved not to help the blotchy finish. That and the hollows requires a complete finish redo. Finally and most frustratingly, about this all; PBI gave me a quote to redo the wall and acid wash the finish, prior to the discoveries we found about the 2nd finish job and the waterline tiles.
Their price was 2 times higher than the next highest bid. I recommend you avoid this company. We regret using them originally. I would not let PBI assemble a prefabricated bird bath for me bought at Home Depot. In my opinion, they are truly that bad.

Pool Builders built my pool 13 years ago, I am just as happy today as I was when they finished it. The construction process was very smooth I would definitely use them again. The staff and construction crews we're very friendly and professional. I was always kept informed during the construction process, overall very happy with pool builders and would highly recommend them.

Pool builders inc did the pool from the dig to finish in just 2 months as promised. The quality of materials and workmanship is outstanding. Every time i did called, phone was answered and my concerns were taken care of. I did hear lots of horror stories about pool build in general, but my experience with pool builders inc was very pleasant. Whatever they sad they will do, they did deliver. Kevin, Pete, Bob, Willie, Dennis, Dominic. Thank you all.

Choosing Pool Builders was by far one of the best decisions we have made since moving to Florida. Lawrence our design/sales representative was a pleasure to work with and instrumental in putting our dreams into reality, helping us design not only the coolest pool, but the landscaping and the layout of our outdoor kitchen. He helped us with ideas and design suggestions that we never even thought about.
He also helped us navigate the overwhelming amount of materials available to us to complete the look we were going for. DJ our construction supervisor was awesome and always just a phone call or text away if we had any questions or concerns. The pool took a little longer than we had originally planned for, but it wasn't anybody's fault, there were multiple aspects of the rather large project being coordinated all at the same time, and we did have to wait for special marble we ordered for our deck that was shipped from over seas.
The best part came AFTER the pool was completed and PBI had been paid in full. They still treat us like we are their only customer, calls are returned promptly! Warranty issues are handled IMMEDIATELY! They never make me feel like I am asking a stupid question or wasting their time. If you are thinking about building a pool (especially in the Bridges or Seven Bridges) I highly suggest you use Pool Builders and ask for Lawrence!

My husband and I have just recently completed our first major home improvement project by adding a swimming pool to our home. We were fortunate enough that we contracted Pool Builders, Inc., their designer created more than a swimming pool, but an outdoor oasis. we couldn't be happier with the results.

Having the worst experience with them! Nothing is going right. They have had my husband fix all their mistakes each evening, (as they cut sprinkler and cable lines). They did not meet the required completion date, did not see there was an elevation issue, even though 3 other companies did. They have my husband removing old pavers, too! Would NOT recommend them.

Just wanted to let you know how happy we are with our Pool Builders pool. Pool Builders built our pool more than 30 years ago - and our family has enjoyed it ever since. In fact, our Pool Builders pool is now entertaining its third generation of Roths, and our home is the go-to hangout for our grandkids every summer!
