He found that his interest and passion lay in the realm of general electrical repair. He learned the trade by training with a local qualified electrician, as well as studying under a NASA engineer, until he was able to take his masters exams.After obtaining liscensure in three states, William G. Hyman founded his electrical contracting business with a focus on residential service. His goal was to provide an honest electrical contracting company that cared about the strength of its customer service and formed long-term client relationships.

By far the best electricians we have ever used! In fact, they were the best contractors we have ever worked with. We used Hyman Electrical to replace our service/breaker box, install several exterior outlets and repair another. They were on time, reasonably priced, and helped solve not one, but two separate issues we were having that were not part of their job and did it all in less than two days. Best. Electricians. Ever. Don't waste your time anywhere else.

Great company and very responsive. I had an electrical issue in the house where part of my circuit quit working. The owner was very nice and walked through some of the common issues with me. They showed up on time, was very professional, found the problem and fixed all of the issues with the circuit. They communicated very well through the process. I highly recommend this company.

I had what I thought was a bad GFCI and called Mr. Hyman. Bill himself got back to me and walked me through diagnosing the problem over the phone! He was knowledgeable and patient and resolved my issue! He also provided follow-up actions to take to ensure the problem would not recur! I've worked with Bill, and now Bill, Jeremy and Kevin for all of my electrical needs for 41 years, since I bought this old house. They have a superlative record for expert service. And when people say, "I called Billy and Jeremy and Kevin were already in the area and were able to stop by and give me a quote, " that is how fast it usually happens. Great experience! I emailed to request an estimate on upgrading my panel/service and installing circuits for a new HVAC system. Bill called me the same day to discuss. Jeremy and Kevin were already in the area and were able to stop by and give me a quote. They were very knowledgeable and professional. Bill and his team were great. Bill got back to me within a day of contacting him. Jeremy and his apprentice were prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. They got 8 of my outlets switched out for GFCI in less than 1/2 an hour. Will definitely be contacting Bill and his crew again when I have more work to be done. Thanks guys!

Hired this company to install a ceiling fan. They were super responsive, provided text updates including the technician's name and assistant. Were upfront about most pricing. They are a little pricier than I would have expected but solved the issue they encountered and had a good install. Would certainly give them a call for future needs.

When I purchased a new house, I knew going in that the electrical system needed a lot of work. I got quotes from several contractors, but Bill Hyman took the time to talk through all of the intricacies with me even before I signed a contract. I eventually contracted with Hyman Electric to do a heavy-up of our panel and meter. Hyman's team of Jeremy and Kevin did a great job; punctual, professional, and clean. We called Bill Hyman on Monday and they were at our home working Wednesday morning. My wife and I are having a fireplace built and needed some wires (coax and electrical) in a bulkhead rerouted to make room for the chimney. We also needed few receptacles relocated and terminated. Bill was extremely helpful and understood exactly what we needed to have happen and why.
His team Kevin and Jeremy were on time, professional, and explained exactly what they were doing. We're extremely pleased with the quality of work Hyman Electrical provided as well as the timeliness in which it was completed. We highly recommend using their services!

This has been an excellent & outstanding experience. They were responsive, pleasant, efficient, arrived on time as agreed to, did not attempt to price gouge, conversational, honest, careful, . could add more, but you get the picture. They installed six outdoor lanterns, changed the lighting in the garage, and performed some other tasks. EXCELLENT!

I wish I'd found these guys earlier. I have an older (1948) house and was having some odd electrical issues. Bill returned my call quickly and spent quite some time on the phone discussing the issue even before sending his crew came out. Long story short, not surprisingly my legacy service was not adequate for modern electrical demands. Jeremy and Kevin were great - they were timely, worked quickly, and explained what they were doing and why I needed it done.
Communication was great throughout; I was having other work done at the house and Bill worked directly with that contractor to coordinate, which made life much easier with me. Finally, Bill handled all the PEPCO and county inspection interactions and got it all done promptly. Highly recommend for workmanship, professionalism, responsiveness, and fair pricing.

Bill Hyman and his team were great. When our lights starting dimming randomly, we called electricians looking for someone with availability. Bill found someone to come look that same day (Friday) and they were able to complete the upgrade on Monday. The electricians were prompt and polite and completed the work very professionally despite the fact that it was pouring.
