Peter and his team have been a great group to work with. They were on time, professional, and highly responsive, even through this challenging global supply chain crunch. They helped our dream become a reality and it turned out even better than we could have imagined

Peter Werth built us a beautiful pool and backyard space. He cares deeply about giving his clients the pool and space they want and will do what it takes to make that happen. The crew he uses from top to bottom are top notch - they work so hard and do really quality work. The only reason this is not a 5-star review is because the communication and scheduling was sometimes a problem.

It may not be for everyone but we have dogs and work full time so we needed to know when the workers would be there to plan ahead. Due to the demands of other jobs, availability of materials, etc., it is not always easy to know much in advance but this was a problem at times. Having said that, he always responded to me when I reached out and I always felt attended to.

The only other advice I would offer is to make it very clear in your contract when the periodic payments are due based on the phase of work being completed and make sure your plans and conversations with Peter accurately reflect exactly what you want to avoid delays and potential increased costs. All in all though, we have a beautiful backyard space and it was great having a contractor who cared about giving us that.

When we decided to have a pool built in our backyard, we had discussions with and received quotes from multiple builders (and you should too). Peter was the most transparent and down to earth of them all. He did not offer us the cheapest quote but he also didn't try to gloss over the cost of the project, he explained every step and seemed to really know his stuff and he's local, so we chose him. Peter jumped started the process right away for a small pool, spa, deck and even a new retaining wall to expand our backyard.

I was very nervous about starting such a large project but Peter handled every detail, including our city's painful permit process and listened to all of our concerns.and we had a ton. The full process did take longer than expected due to delays in permits plus this was done in 2020, need I say more. Our new backyard is now so inviting! We are extremely happy with it and cannot wait for those long summer days to get here.

Until then we are enjoying our spa in this amazing California winter weather. Peter and his entire team are very good at what they do but a project of this scale does not come without stress and anxiety. Peter did such a good job trying to keep my nerves in check, assuring us that everything would work out and not to worry. And he was right, every issue that surfaced, he made sure it was taken care of.

Through this process Peter was always the same, down to earth guy that we first met, we even got to meet his amazing kid and his handsome dog. Do yourself a favor and at least call Peter out for a quote and don't settle for less.

I called Peter with an issue that was due to sloppy work from our pool contractor who resurfaced our pool. He diagnosed things over the phone and even told me how to repair it myself for little $. It worked. That is a solid!

Werth Builders did a pool remodel for us in Costa Mesa. We had a large pool from the 60's and Peter and his team remodeled the pool and added a spa, shower, and fire pit. We could not have been more happy with the planning process, the construction process, and the final product. All around, working with Werth Builders was a fantastic experience.

We had an existing pool, and found Pete on Yelp. He came out for a free consultation, showed us pictures of projects and took a lot of time and energy to give us a competitive bid and vision for our yard. We had several people come out for bids, and Pete's price was very competitive and turned out to be the perfect fit for us. That day, we hired Pete to revamp our whole yard.

His company removed all our old concrete, dirt, planters, and brought the pool down to the shell. His team took great care in protecting our house, and existing equipment to reuse it after the project. We respected and appreciated his team and experience. Pete was quick to give us suggestions and feedback based on his few decades of experience in backyard remodels.

We made changes along the way, and the team was very accommodating to create the vision we wanted for the yard. The team kept the yard clean after work hours as we have kids roaming around, and the crew was very trustworthy where we felt very safe and comfortable having teams working throughout the days, and even weekends. When weather was a factor, they even worked on weekends to make up for missed time to get the project done.

Another aspect of Pete I appreciated is he always answered his phone, or replied to text messages quickly. When hiccups did come up, he was quick to be at the house to resolve the issue to keep up with the schedule. At the end of the project and day, everything was complete and done as advertised and discussed. He was true to his word, trustworthy, and even follows up regularly to make sure things are going well. I would recommend his team to anyone looking for creating an outdoor living and entertaining space!

Right from the start, Peter had a great vision that helped us transform our backyard. He had great recommendations as far as a layout and helped with drainage issues we had. As with any huge home improvement project, there were some hiccups. Peter and his project manager, Edgar (who was great) always kept us in the loop and ultimately delivered on his promise to get us what we wanted.

You can definitely tell that Peter takes pride on the job getting done correctly. He threw in a lot of drains in our backyard and a couple of electrical outlets. He also made sure that all of residual damage that comes construction was taken care of. Another thing you could tell is that Peter really isn't in the business to nickel and dime you and really just wants to make you happy.

The job was done way faster than I had initially thought. It's been a little over a month since our pool was built by Peter and we love it so much, especially during these time of the pandemic. It has been the ultimate quarantine getaway right in our backyard!

Let's start with the new pool.it's amazing! In every way! When my husband and I look at it, we can't believe how beautiful it is, and our kids don't want to get out! It was finished last month, and now it's late November and we still go in it every weekend. I love that we can stay home during the weekend and just hang by and in the pool!

The project was a remodel. The original pool was built in the 60's and was very deep and very long. No heater and all old equipment and plumbing. We had been planning on remodeling it, but once an expensive piece of equipment broke we decided it was time. I got 5 quotes from pool contractors in Orange County. 1 quote was low, 1 was high, and the others were in the middle.

Along with price, we were also looking at the contractor's work, attitude, and practices. We liked Peter Werth from the get-go. He seemed genuinely excited about our project and had lots of great ideas. We wanted to go with a mid-century modern look, cut about 1/3 off the original pool, shallow it out, and add a spa. As well as pour a new concrete deck, build an in-ground fire pit, add concrete pads with turf around the pool, and an outdoor shower.

It was a huge project! After lots of research and thought, we decided to go with Werth Builders. The team was incredible, everyone on the crew was a good guy and easy to work with. The work was impeccable AND on budget and on time! Peter is honest, an incredible contractor, great to work with, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new pool, backyard, or remodel!

We used Wirth Builders to build our outdoor kitchen. It was a big job; they had to grade the whole yard and build a waterline and gas line a long distance across the yard, as well as installing about 900 sq feet of patio stone and building two beautiful islands for bbq and bar, wrapped in custom stone and built in stone planters and innovative beautiful lighting - both for safety and ambience. (He also installed a new beautiful healthy lawn. ) Peter has the manpower and knowledgeable skilled workers to handle all of these details.

He was very helpful in designing the backyard layout as well. We are very very happy with our much improved and inviting backyard. (I'll come back and post pictures when our landscaping grows in so you get the full effect. )

Peter and his team did a great job building our dream jacuzzi. It took a little longer than expected due to issues with the City, permits, gates, etc. But I have to say it was totally worth the wait. We love it. The attention to detail was wonderful. They were able to match our existing stonework on the new spa. I highly recommend.

I wish I could give no stars. I also wish I never called this guy. he promises the world and takes your money and runs. he does no work himself only subs everything out and ups the price. when the subs weren't pain they called me and said because of him not paying they wouldn't finish. they could put a lien on my property and then I went to the city and found out he never got permits for the job and tried to fine me for that. he says he had trouble with engineering but my new guy got it the same day. after he had the hole dug my project sat for over 6weeks! finally found a trustworthy contractor to do the job. tried to get peter werth to refund money not spent ($15000)! but he said it was gone I could take him to court! this guy gives contractors a bade name.

The first meeting with Peter went well. He talked to us about the process, ideas, finishes and listened to what we were looking for. I had drawn a rough plan of what we wanted in the back yard and he made it our reality. There were some hiccups on the way, but that is construction. Overall my family and I are very happy with the outcome.

Peter & his crew built the backyard of our dreams! I couldn't be happier with the finished product. It was a huge job! We had 7,000 sf of weeds in the backyard & he turned it into an oasis. We put in a 70x20 freeform pool with a cascading spa, water features, fire bowls. A very large 15 person fire pit, two 20 ft long custom built BBQ islands & a beautiful 25x25 pavilion with an outdoor fireplace.

All of this surrounded by pavers & great landscaping. I highly recommend Werth builders for any project big or small. His guys Memo, Rene & jesse were a pleasure to work with! Very professional & experienced company.

Pete was awesome! He was on time and kept us updated on the progress. We had several other bids and he was competitively priced. He was very reliable and not flakey like we found many others to be. His workers were all very friendly too. They cleaned up everyday and took precautions to protect our flower beds and windows. I would definitely use them again for any yard transformations.

We recently had Peter and his team do our new pool construction. Since we have two houses on our lot we were not sure our small space could fit a pool. Many companies either didn't call us back or told us we could have a spa OR tiny, unheated lap pool but not both. We chose Peter because he was very inspiring and had a great vision for maximizing our space.

He knows Long Beach very well and his relationship with the city is very evident in how fast and easy the entire process was. Alex was our foreman and he and his crew were great, always on time and very friendly. Our neighbors complimented us several times on how clean they left our house and street when they were done for the day. Our pool & spa came out stunning, we are so happy!

We have done MANY remodeling projects and this was the most stress-free. Peter understood that we are very busy and if there were any mishaps we sure didn't know because he didn't bother us with it. We had several companies give us bids for our project. Some were higher and some were lower. We hired Peter based off his yelp reviews and the feeling we got when we first met Peter. We did a complete backyard remodel. The workmanship is top notch and the workers were very respectful. There were a couple bumps in the road, but that is expected with any contractor. Peter is a man of his word and fixed any and all issues that came up. Alex and his crew were very easy to deal with, and gave us some good ideas throughout the project that we did not think about. We were very involved in our project and the communication with Alex was very good.

I am currently in negotiation with Peter on correcting the poor craftsmanship on our job. However he is very okay with it. See video and text message. That is his voice those are his words.

Once we had the drawing, we bid it out to several contractors. Pete's bid was highly competitive so we choose him.

We were on a tight budget, but we really wanted a pool. We met with and quoted our project with 4 different companies and were shocked at the huge variation in prices, complicated options, requirements and suggestions. We felt we were being given a huge runaround and the price was going to constantly be influx on all projects. And then we met Peter - he was a straight shooter, looked at our budget and told us exactly what we could get for that.

And guess what, we got an amazing pool within our tight budget. It's not super fancy but it's way more than we were told we could get by all those other companies. Working with Peter and his crew was a lot of fun. The quality of work is great and we are totally thrilled.

I contacted Peter Werth after seeing a patio roof he built for a friend. He was prompt and the consultation was very helpful. There were two challenges that were met in making and installing the new patio roof. The first one was how to build the roof around the chimney of the house and the second one was how to preserve the grapevines planted by me late husband.

He came up with some better ideas than we did regarding our project and we ended up going with his recommendations.
