Casco Bay Electric

Ethan stopped by on his way home on a later Friday afternoon to fix an outlet that smelled of burning platic. He fixed the outlet and assured us that we were safe. He was professional and curteous. Would recommend him and his company.

Cisco Bay Electric is a great company. I called yesterday for assistance with a ceiling fan with electrical problems. They gave me an appointment for 3 weeks out. Lo and behold, they came today and fixed the problem in short order. I couldn't even get my usual electrician to return my messages. I'll go back to Casco Bay Electric for any future electrical needs.

CBE wired my new garage, which was an addition to my existing home. From start to finish, staff were terrific. Responsive, professional, and easy to work with. A BIG shout-out to *Dave* who was the electrician assigned to my house. Very customer service focused, asking questions about what we wanted to see in terms of outlet layout, lighting needs and more.

And then, he and his teammate (sorry, forgetting his name at the moment) went to work and did exactly as we wanted. WELL DONE. My wife and I would use CBE again without hesitation.

Second time I have used Casco Bay Electric and the results again were great. Right on time, worked efficiently, left work area clean and electrical work came out great. This was a kitchen remodel - moving switches, wiring up new appliances and making sure all new and old wiring, breakers were sufficient and to code. Pricing was very fair would certainly use again and recommend their services.

We are doing a remodel of our 2nd floor and used CBE for the electric work. While the technicians were on time and friendly, we have had multiple issues with the work. Several of the boxes for the outlets and switches were crooked. We had a new panel installed, and they wired things incorrectly resulting in us not having power. Had to have them come back out.

Different techs came out and admitted that the work that was done was subpar and not representative of the company but they didn't do anything about it. They fixed the wiring in the panel, but we still don't have power to one of the wires. Overall, the switches and outlets are crooked, we've had to have them come out and correct their mistakes twice, and they are billing us for all of it. Will definitely be looking for a different electrician for any future work.

DO NOT USE THEM! We wanted more outlets into one of our bedrooms. When the technician got here he said it would be a lot of work and a full day project to run the wires inside the walls so he said he wanted to wire molding and that it would only take half a day. It wasn't really what we wanted but we wanted it to be quick to save a little money. He ended up still taking a full day and we ended up with an $1800 bill.

If he would have told me it would take the full day I would have never agreed. It took me 3 different calls to get any answers, and they just kept telling me the electrician "doesn't remember it that way" so basically telling me I'm lying. Don't waste your money with this company.

Hired them to rewire our second floor during our remodel & replace our outdated panel. We've had to have them come out multiple times to fix their own shoddy work, & we're continuing to discover things that don't work now that worked fine before they came out. Despite our several complaints, they've had the audacity to complain about our complaints & give attitude about the poor reviews we've given them rather than giving us any sort of apology or discount to make it right. That's just Customer Service 101. Don't hire this company.

After failing to receive return phone calls from other electricians a neighbor suggested CBE. They answered, were polite and professional, and because my schedule was flexible they were at my house in just a couple of days. The electrician was courteous and upfront about pricing and what he was going to do. As good an outcome as I could hope for.

Fantastic company. First, they arrived exactly on time. Second, the electrician listened to all of my concerns and how I wanted the light fixtures to look/work. Third, while they were quick to do the work, it was done correctly. After the work was done, they had me look it over to make sure it was how I wanted it and fully explained the work they did. The whole experience was professional and polite. This is the third time I have used this company and they consistently great. I would definitely recommend this company.

We bought a house in Falmouth that was built in 1965. It had a 100amp fuse panel and we needed to upgrade our service, get a new meter box with outside shut off and new circuit breaker panel. I contacted several electricians in the area and most were not interested in a "big job" like this. I stopped by CBE's office and Mike helped me connect with Alex. Alex came to our house and talked to us about things like an underground service and upgrade to 200 amps.

That seemed like a good idea as the trees were towering over and under the electric lines. So, their team came and did the trenching (Jake) and conduit. Mike, Victor and Judah pulled the cable and CMP made it live. Then Judah and Victor worked to do a perfect install of the meter box and 200amp panel. Excellent workmanship! I am really a perfectionist and I appreciate their skill and work ethic.

The food in the fridge stayed cold and everything turned out perfect. I will definitely use them for future work. Friendly, super competent and quick. Well coordinated service. Thanks guys!

They put in 3 outlets for me (had to run wires through the wall), professional and nice but it took 3 hours? They couldnt give me a quote until the end, but they did a good job. They also had to come with 2 guys who both charge $100 each. Will use them again but will ask for one tech and quote upfront. Services: Socket or switch installation, Socket or switch repair

Casco Bay sent a licensed electrician and a non-licensed electrician to my house to install 5 outlets and 2 light/ceiling fixtures. They used cheap, plastic covers and placed the outlets where it was "easy" to do, not necessarily where it was "right" to do. I received an invoice for almost $1600 for 14 hours of time! I paid extra money for a non-licensed electrician who took twice as long to do the job!

In addition, the technician shattered a mirror that I purchased with my mother for $1400 a decade ago. I was sure the invoice had a typo so I emailed Casco Bay twice, left at least 4 messages and no one ever responded. I am having estimates done by a number of contractors. When I showed them the invoice after expressing concern that costs would rise, they all said the prices were outrageous.

One even used the term "extortion". Outrageous pricing, terrible customer service. They are quick to respond when you hire them, but NOTHING when you have a concern. There are much better options out there. Stay away.

I was so pleased with the efficiency and professional skill of this team. They were helpful in meeting my needs in the highest quality most cost effective way. They were polite and friendly, made sure everything was as I needed before they left. I would certainly recommend them to friends, neighbors, business associates.

Very satisfied with the work completed, We had the basement recreation room overhead lighting replaced with recessed lighting. The price reasonable and the electrician was prompt, courteous and knowledgable. I would have no hesitation in calling them in the future.
