Ellzey's Painting

Ellzey's Painting does both Commercial and Residential painting. I have used them for several projects for both interior and exterior painting. They have also donated their time and materials to volunteer projects that I've needed help with. Ellzey's Painting gives back to the community! The team is very professional and clean. They do an excellent job and take pride in their work.

If there is one quality that stands about John it is his honesty. I have used John on several different projects and have never seen him hurry thru things to a shoddy conclusion. He gives a time frame and follows thru his words. No false promises. Here's a person I trust.

A large tree fell and took out the roof and side of the house. We had aluminum siding which insurance agreed to replace with vinyl. When the siding was removed we found redwood siding underneath. It had been covered up with the aluminum for over 60 years and was in need of a lot of TLC. John was brought in by the general contractor to evaluate the project and see if the redwood siding could be saved.

His cost for the renovation was very close to that of replacing. Insurance agreed to the alternate repair. The day John's crew started he said he was not going to paint the house. He wanted to restore it. And restore he did. The project called for a lot of hand finish work. For a start, he had to deal with more than 1,000 residual nails left over from the old siding.

He treated the house like a fine piece of furniture. Even the smallest and most obscure details did not escape his attention. We have since hired him for other projects. He will be the only person we will ever let touch our house. We have been told that the historic society had been watching the work progress. Our house has since been nominated to be listed as a historic landmark home. Nice work John.

We were very happy with the job Ellzey's Painting did for us. We have used them to paint the interior of our home on three occasions. They have removed acoustic ceiling, painted our wainscoting, re-textured some walls, and painted several rooms.

John and his crew are amazing! They replastered and meshed the old walls before painting. Incredible job. Couldn't be happier with how everything came out! A++ would recommend.

So easy to work with. I emailed pictures of the labels of our paint formulas and asked them to paint our house, and they did. Super low overhead. Very easy to communicate with. Quality job.

I needed a cost estimate to establish a budget for repainting our three story stucco building. John is terrific. He provided a thorough cost proposal with sub-contractor and suppliers estimates as well. This made it very nice to know where the costs are. Although he knew that I needed to gather the funding for this painting project, he did not give me just a one price verbal estimate.

He did an excellent and professional job providing all the information I requested including answers to questions like, "how long will the paint last?". John also provided excellent advice on which paint we should consider and how he would execute this project. We have narrow alleys so, John included a scaffolding sub-contractor cost as well. He was patient, listening to all the complications such as working around operational schedules and took all of this into consideration for his estimate. Thanks John!
