GRC Builders

Called to schedule a basement renovation quote and was told I was out of their service area. I live less than 25 min from their office. I was told I was wasting their time. Since then I have had numerous contractor's that have reached out as far as Castle Rock and Colorado Springs to give me a quote. These other contractor's are approximately 35 minutes to 1 1/2 hours for my residence.

No problem if you don't my business of quotes ranging from 75K-135K for my renovation but don't be RUDE about it, I was looking for just a quote of a pool of contractors so I can get a range for a budget. I have never had this kind of customer service being in the construction business myself 28 years. Word of mouth goes a long way, my suggestion would be keep your emotions in check before losing a customer and ruining your business's credibility.

After contacting many companies about finishing our unfinished basement, we selected GRC. Remodeling during the pandemic came with many twists and turns we didn't anticipate at the outset of our project, like labor shortages, vendor concerns and supply chain delays. But Randy and Lisa did a great job of laying out realities and expectations in advance, updating us throughout the process, and addressing issues if they arose.

The GRC workers were very kind and came to be real favorites with our 3-year-old daughter. The basement turned out wonderfully, and when a weather-related issue arose several weeks after the project's end, GRC put us at the top of their priority list and send their team within hours of finding out. It is our family's pleasure to recommend GRC.

We hired GRC builders to renovate a main floor bathroom for our aging mother. The job was to enlarge and add a shower system that was ADA inclusive with raised toilet, wheelchair accessible, non slip flooring, grab bars, shower large enough for seat and hand held shower head. Mission accomplished with beautiful product features, bright lighting, courteous and professional contractors and room for our mother to now stay in her home while aging with confidence and pride.

We used GRC for a room and patio addition that finished in September of 2019. They did an excellent job! I shopped around thoroughly before selecting GRC. I wanted a contractor that is true to their word and won't skimp on quality. They were not the cheapest bid, but in researching them and speaking with them I felt more comfortable trusting Randy and Lisa with the project.

While we ran into a lot of delays, the lion's share of these were just mother nature. They are very thorough and careful - almost too careful - with your project! If you want quality and the work done right, these folks are the best value anywhere. They only use building-grade materials and all specs are at least to code; more often they exceed code.

When working with any contractor, communication is the key. Randy and Lisa do a great job helping you plan your project - and even will help guide you on where to channel your budget to maximize what is important to you. Just make sure you communicate your desires clearly and they will help you make it happen! My project ended up being far better than I even imagined it!

We have used GRC Builders more than once, and are extremely pleased with our results. Their process is very organized and easy to understand. All workers that enter your home and safe and friendly. We had them do a MAJOR home renovation, and we enjoy our home each and every day.

I waited over a year to write this recommendation because I wanted to make sure that my recommendation was valid. After about a year and a half I can say without question that the work that GRC builders does is of the highest standard and quality. They installed cabinets, counter tops, sinks and fixtures after a fairly robust demolition. All of the installations that they completed continue to function and look great. We are trying to sign a reputable contractor to remodel our kitchen and basement. GRC came out and did a complete walk thru for 2 hours. Looked promising. Said to give them a couple weeks to get the estimate done. 2 weeks go by. They said they need another week. real busy. Another week goes by. They said to give them some more time. real busy. Over a month and we call them again and they said that they are busy and we should move on with someone else.

So over a month and we never even got an estimate. We have 6 figures to spend. How do companies stay in business when they turn away business? Why not just say upfront they have a ton of work "so they say" and they can't do the job right now. "Move on"? Don't bother with this company. Customer service is horrible. Waste of time.

The extra time in the planning stage resulted in numerous efficiencies of construction. detailed specifications. additional time was spent to pinpoint our material allowances. They made suggestions throughout the design process that both improved the layout of the house and also helped to hold the costs of construction down. subcontractors were true craftsmen.

From one of our craftsman: Our company only does business with reputable and quality oriented contractors and GRC has proven themselves to be just that. there has never been anything but the utmost professionalism and quality construction theory and application. your scheduling and supervision throughout the projects has been outstanding.

The process of building a home is an exciting one. Whether it's an enjoyable time will in large part be due to the contractor you choose. there is no substitute for their through pre-building planning process. we spent many extra hours planning minute details and developing a specific budget to be sure the job was done right and within our budget.

The workman that came to our house were respectful of our privacy and did their best to work around our 4 cats and dog.
