Greg and his team did a truly outstanding job on our home repainting job. They took painstaking time to completely prep the house beforehand, not just pressure washing. They found trim boards with dry rot during the estimate. They replaced these before painting, included in the cost. They removed the old, built-up or cracked caulking. All of the crew were friendly and polite, and were very hard working. I would highly recommend them to put down a 20 year protection coating for you home.

This company is a family affair with Greg, his wife and son. Their stellar friendly team of color experts, carpenters and painters did an exceptional job for my Petaluma home (summer 2021) and both my parents' prior home (done in 2012) and current home (done in 2020) in town as well. The homes had moderate wood rot damage as well that needed repair prior to painting.

First of all let me start off saying I am a mechanical engineer which means I am detailed oriented, picky, and have an eye for quality. As does my father who raised me that way. You can trust me when I say Solidarity is the real deal. I have not seen any other painter form a generous and proper bead of caulking that will be long lasting and protect the wood from future wood rot like this team of professions do.

They select quality lumbar (no knots/splits) and use high quality caulking and paint (Dunn Edwards). You get what you pay for when it comes to carpentry and painting. You can pay less but will have to repeat the work more often not to mention will likely be sloppier. Or you can pay reasonably more and get something long lasting with a beautiful outcome.

And yes the painted lines are straight. Thanks to their meticulous masking job. Big part of the job is preparation. Which includes power washing. And clean up after. I cannot thank Greg and his team enough. Note that potential clients should check ALL review sites to get a good feel for a company.

I just had my house painted by Solidarity Painting, it came out great, and yes, it was during the Glass Fire. The finished paint job was perfect! This company is 5-Star+ as their attention to detail made the difference. There were no shortcuts particularly when it came to replacing dry rot. If you own a Christopherson home, you have dry rot; they used spruce vs. cedar or southern yellow pine, and spruce rots.

The caulking and prep work is what makes a finished job and prep was perfect. Solidarity even re-pressure washed the house after the Glass Fire to remove residual dust and ash. Lastly, Greg and his crew have an incredible work ethic to do the job right. ANYONE can do a "blow & go" paint job. The pro's to the work before painting. Above all the price was extremely competitive.you DO get what you pay for. I would recommend using Solidarity without hesitation!

Greg and Alice (and the team!) did a fantastic job. Our house looks new. We had a lot of rot on our south facing windows. All of the damage was removed and replaced like new. The paint job was fast (for a two story house) and the team was so kind through out the process. After the work was complete, the property was cleaned up completely. Greg called to set a time to come out and give an estimate for painting my house. He never showed up. The next day he called again and left a voice message as if he had never spoken to me before and said he would be by around 4:30 - 5. Once again he never showed up.

Part of being reliable and professional is returning phone calls. This contractor did not bother to return a phone call inquiry--this is not good business!

With all of the shady construction guys that popped up after the fires, it is refreshing to find a company with honor and integrity. Greg, the owner, lost 3 homes in the fires but has not tried to screw others over as we rebuild our community. Geat owner with a brilliant head on his shoulders. Greg is super nice and you can see his pride in his work. I highly recommend Solidarity Painting for all of your painting needs.

Solidarity just finished painting the exterior of our home. We selected Solidarity from four quotes based on their reputation, their responsiveness, and their experience. They were not the least expensive, nor the most expensive, quote we received, but they were the most thorough, and we felt they would do the job as they would like to have done for their own home. Greg and Alice and the entire crew were friendly and are clearly very talented at their craft, taking care and pride in their work.

They were very receptive to any suggestion or detail that we would point out, and their perfectionist tendencies were compatible with our own. After a preliminary meeting about colors, Alice painted several samples on the house for us to look at, and thank goodness, because our original preferred color on a paint swatch was definitely not what we would have wanted on the whole house.

The job ended up being somewhat bigger than originally anticipated with more trim boards having to be replaced than estimated. There was no additional charge for the extra work, since it is Solidarity's practice to do the job right within the quoted price. We could not be happier with the results - the colors and the detail in workmanship are exactly what we wanted, and we highly recommend them.

Greg does good work but he has a bad attitude and is very disrespectful. He charged me for extra dry rot that he fixed but never showed me or called me to discuss. During the time he was painting my house he showed a few times how rude and disrespectful he was with me, especially one he got his payment. I felt that I over paid and he stated he wanted to make things right but never did.

I had my home repaired and painted by Solidarity Painting this summer and I cannot recommend them highly enough! Greg walked my property and showed me areas of concern and pointed out areas on the upper floors that were probably going to need repair. He gave me a very fair repair and paint estimate and told me when he would be available to do the work.

The dry rot repair was extensive, but his crew did an excellent job. They worked long hours, did excellent work, and cleaned up every day. Once they started the painting everything went smoothly and efficiently. I have had several homes painted and this is without a doubt the best job I have ever had done. They caulked every joint and seam, then primed the house and applied two coats of high quality paint. The end result was beautiful! If you are looking for an honest, hardworking craftsman and his crew, chose Solidarity Painting, you will not be disappointed.

I am actually writing this review on behalf of my mother, who is less than eager to get on the computer, but she is VERY eager for me to add to the 5-star reviews here for Solidarity Painting. Her home was in bad shape due to the last 2 or 3 paint jobs that weren't well done and allowed her siding to rot. She had the same company paint those 2 or 3 times and was ready to turn to them again when my brother suggested she get a quote from Solidarity, who had recently painted his home.

While the price was higher than what she was used to, the old adage "you get what you pay for" was in full effect in this case. Greg's prep for painting is very detailed. He will not paint over a surface that is not completely ready to take the paint. He had to replace sheets of siding, he ran into rot that wasn't found in the first look, and because he gives a very realistic quote with built-in contingencies, there were no financial surprises, unlike many "bait and switch" companies out there.

A thorough power wash and scrape, as well as not one but TWO COATS of primer and not one but TWO COATS of high-quality paint later, Mom's home is stunning! Everything that was dismantled for painting was put back as it was, the job site was left clean, and the company workers were highly professional for every step of the way. This is a paint job that will last for at least 10 years, if not longer, and which will end up saving her LOTS of money in the long run.

The owner's wife Alice was gracious as she helped Mom pick out colors, even coming back a second time and cheerfully riding with Mom through the neighborhood to see what Mom's preferences were. Mom advises that if you want it done right, finished on time, and service with a smile, look no further than Solidarity Painting.

Solidarity is just incredible. Old world craftsmanship and attention to detail at affordable prices. And fast! They painted the exterior of my neighbor's house, interior of our house and the exterior of the house across the street.

I highly recommend this company. Greg and Alice did everything they promised and more. Their bid was reasonable, and they repaired the roof around the chimney, an unexpected problem. Alice was especially helpful in color selection. There were also parts of the siding that needed to be replaced. All their painting and other work was completed within a week, and everyone who has seen the house has raved about its appearance.

If you are reading reviews, then I know you value customer experience as part of your decision making process. Our experience with Solidarity Painting Inc. is without question the best decision we could have made in terms of hiring a painting contractor.

Some of you may also have an older, highly detailed and beloved home that has not been painted in many years. Or even if your home is easier to paint, I highly recommend Solidarity Painting for their painstaking attention to detail, from the vital prep work to the finishing touches. Our home exterior has wide wood board walls with stucco areas, considerable peeling and dents.

We couldn't be happier with the completely renewed look of our home, from the decks to the top of the second story to the overhangs and more. They gave great value, had an experienced crew and completed the work on time.
