Southwestern Remodeling

Didn't want to do my job because I already had the materials which are brand new from Star Lumber. I guess they like their 25% markup on materials. If you don't have a budget above $50,000 don't bother calling this company. I guess they like big jobs. Just trying to save you some time.

I highly recommend Southwest remodeling for any of your remodeling or construction needs! I have used them in the past and was very impressed with the whole process from getting bids to the actual install! Ask for Roger. Tell him Karen sent you.

We had a great experience with Southwestern Remodeling. They oversaw a large project which included a new structure and deck re-build. Their quote was very competitive with other remodeling contractors and they were able to build exactly what we were wanting. The quality of their workmanship was excellent as was that of their subcontractors. They were respectful, profession, and kept an open line of communication. I will likely use Southwestern Remodeling again (once I recover from this project) and will ask specifically to work with Chad and Tony if possible.

Southwestern remodeling replaced our existing, falling apart, lifted deck with a beautiful new one. We had a terrible time finding someone to do a deck for awhile but when we contacted this company it was fast and professional work. I never felt like I was asking dumb questions, they were always on time/ early, they were always respectful as well.

We are a big dog family and they were great with being ok with stepping away from the job for a few minutes to let our dogs go out for a bit. They took down and hauled away our old deck and completely built up the new deck within a week and a half, with Kansas weather, AND I didn't find any nails or hardware my dogs could have potentially stepped on during the whole process. Thanks for doing such a great job.

Critical:Responsiveness They came out for an estimate and I never heard from them again and never received an estimate. They were only here for about 30 minutes no help on designing something. Got a second business to come out they spent hours out here helping design our bathroom and we are proceeding.

They haven't started to work yet, but so far, we have had a good experience. Everyone is knowledgeable and happy to assist us in planning our project.

I hired them to demolish a huge stone and brick fireplace, rebuild the openings & replace the flooring in 3 rooms and a hallway. I can't say enough good things about the demo crew. They were fast, efficient, careful and worked safely. The rebuild of the huge space afterward was problematic. I specifically told Kelly that I wanted to retain as much of the old growth mahogany woodwork as possible and blend any new woodwork.

They tore out every piece adjacent to the floors & openings and threw it away. When I discovered this, I asked them to save it. Instead of using it (along the baseboard, for example, ) they said "No, you don't want that". I think I know what I want, but they just tossed it in my garage and installed new. The wood flooring had flaws and they drilled out and replaced one board but not another.

I've gotten splinters in my foot from some of the flooring. I love the look and the choice of finish they helped me pick out. The kitchen flooring is vinyl tile. The sample was thick and rigid like ceramic tile. The actual product installed was like linoleum cut into squares. They installed it with grout that is cracking across the floor and the product is too thin to create a smooth floor where the floor was patched in underneath. THE WHOLE KITCHEN FLOOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED! Finally, I've texted Chad with my concerns twice and not received a response. Apparently, they're finished because they have their $45,000. this is unacceptable.

We have the most beautiful, functional kitchen thanks to the crew at Southwestern remodeling. The work was beyond what we expected and we will be going back to SW the next time we want some remodeling done. Service:Remodeling

Southwestern tore out our old, sinking deck that was original to our 1990-built house and replaced it with a beautiful redwood deck with cedar skirt. Their crew - Matt and Justin - were timely, professional, and courteous throughout on top of finishing the project ahead of time. Upon receipt of the initial batch of redwood from their supplier, they determined that only two of the 20' redwood boards were of acceptable quality.

They made a point to communicate that to supplier and had a new shipment delivered by 800am the next morning and didn't miss a beat. A lot of contractors would've just used the lumber provided, so we are very appreciative of Southwestern's insistence on maintaining quality. I would recommend Southwestern to anyone for remodeling and would gladly use them again in the future. Thank you! -Jeremy McDonald

UPDATE: PAULA SNIDER-PATTERSON, Previously I wrote a negative review but since that time. The company corrected the problem. There was miscommunication and they have gone above and beyond to come out and replace the window. They did more than was expected and I am beyond thrilled with their workmanship. I cant thank them enough for all they did. I highly recommend them. Fantastic job!

Southwestern completed a garage for us. They had a terrific idea for placement on the property. The process was described to us in detail from who would be there, when and what they would be doing. The garage was completed early and the job site was spotless during all of the prep work and the construction. The staff were all terrific. The garage simply could not be better.

They went above and beyond to ensure the new structure complimented the 25 year old house. Plus the concrete work is perfect. I recommend them to anyone looking to build a new structure. I would use them again for certain.

Wow! We had a room addition onto our home by Southwestern Remodeling. I was very skeptical because it involved adding onto our bedroom area. I can't say enough about the response time, integrity, business acumen, scheduling and skills of the craftsmen! The process started a little before schedule. There were always people present working on the entire project!

Sometimes it was a solo job and we knew to expect one contractor. Sometimes I would see as many as 8-10 people working diligently! They always cleaned up the mess at the end of the day. They worked through inclement weather, difficult situations and problems that arose due to the age of our home. I highly recommend this group! They completed it all in a month and 2 weeks! As I'm relaxing in my new room, I can thank Southwestern Remodeling for a job well done! Kudos! Special acknowledgement to Harold, Chad, Matt and Ricky!

My wife and I hired Southwestern Remolding to add an addition to our home, a covered deck and totally remold our kitchen. We started off with Roger Miller who helped design the project. Roger was incredible patient and understanding of our needs. Roger was there all the way during the design phase and helped us think of things we didn't. Once the project started, Chad Bryan took over. Chad was there on day one and right to the end. Chad would take my calls at 7:30 pm and answer all my questions. Chad also gave me a weekly update on what work was going to be performed the following week.

It was so nice to be kept up to date on everything. Every time Chad told me something was going to take place, it did. They met every deadline they said would happen. Chad told us it would take 10 weeks and the did it in 9 weeks. What amazed us was every day we came home, everything was cleaned up and the floors in the house and garage were swept.

They made living in the house while under construction for 9 weeks very pleasant. From Roger, to the outside/inside building crew, to Chad, I cannot say enough good things about them. They went over and above what we asked them to do because they care about what they do. If you are looking for quality workmanship and very honest people, then Southwestern Remodeling is who you need to go with.

The work was done professionally and within the time estimated. The workers were friendly and always let me know what they were doing. After the work was completed, I noticed a few minor items and they addressed them in a very timely manner. I have had several compliments from my neighbors. I would definitely recommend Southwestern Remodeling to any one looking for remodeling work.

My wish was to transform an unfinished basement room into a bedroom, and to make it appear as if it had always been a part of the house. The bedroom, which was to be for my son, turned out even better than I imagined.

Chad, thank you again for the superior work on our new shower and replacement window. David and his team was great to work with, and the window guys were equally excellent. Kelly's initial remodel vision is so appreciated, and your oversight of the projects was fantastic. We won't hesitate to use Southwestern Remodeling again, or to recommend you to others.

We were very pleased with the work and the finished project. Even though we had several days of cold weather the crew still came and put in a day's work. The crew foreman was great!

We would definitely recommend Southwestern Remodeling for a kitchen remodeling project. When we started working with Craig, he gave us an approximate start date and how long the job would take, and then followed through the whole job from planning to the final outcome. He was always available for any questions we had or any issues that came up.
