We have worked with Campbell and Ferrara over the course of many years, most recently with Peter Rhyne. Peter has been so patient and kind with us as we address aging trees and shrubs in our landscape and add some new, fresh foliage. We are grateful to have Peter as a resource for all things green and colorful!

Working with Campbell and Ferrara was easy. I worked with Peter Rhyne, who was extremely responsive and provided me with detailed designs that reflected our discussions. When it came time to do the work, the team worked all day, often past 5pm, in order to finish in a timely manner. The final product, an outdoor fireplace, looks great and fits in with the house and yard. I am happy to recommend them.

Campbell & Ferrara designed and installed an expanded patio for us. From start to finish, they were a pleasure to work with. The Landscape Designer, Chris Czech, patiently went over our options and made recommendations for plants and building material that resulted in an end product that blends perfectly with the existing landscaping and greatly enhances our outdoor living space.

The installation crew was highly skilled and efficient. Their work was flawless, and they left everything in perfect order at the end of every day on the three-day job. Campbell & Ferrara deserves my highest recommendation.

I cannot say enough about the beautiful pond installed by Campbell Ferrara. It is just what I envisioned and it will be the centerpiece of my yard for years. We used Campbell and Ferrara because we want to use native plants and to having plants that improve not just our backyard but also our neighborhood's overall environment of animals and plants. Chris Myers did a good job at designing and overseeing project. The work crew did a good and neat job and were impressive in their ability to adapt to the roots from out neighbor's trees and other unexpected features.

It would, after all, have made no sense to have pretty plants but trees die that are on our neighbor's lot presently give us very pleasant shade. I recommend Campbell and Ferrara.

Team did an excellent job working with us through the design process and really showed the value during install. Worked to place the trees and really increased the quality of the back yard. Chris Myers was our main POC and was very helpful along with the install team to close things out. Most impressive part for us was the quality of the trees installed - much better than we had expected and made the investment more worthwhile.

Thanks to the team at Campbell & Ferrara for providing expert installation of hardscaping and beautifying my property. I have used other companies in the past (Meadows Farms, Preferred Landscaping) but Campbell & Ferrara outshines them all. I plan to use them again for all future landscaping and lawn maintenance projects.

Campbell & Ferrara did a remake of our pond - enlarging it and installing a waterfall. We worked with Chris Myers, landscape designer, who did an excellent job of putting our ideas into a workable plan. The work crew that executed the plan did a wonderful job - both technically and aesthetically. They were very professional and easy to work with, and were accommodating to our suggestions. We are very pleased with the result and highly recommend the company.

I went to a nursery down the road looking for some perennials and and mulch. I didn't see what I was looking for nor were the workers interested in asking if I needed help. I happened to notice this shop on my way to Lowe's and decided to drop in. The manager asked if I needed any help, showed me where to find what I was looking for and also helped me load my car. Definitely will be returning for my gardening needs.

Our first experience with Campbell & Ferrara and project went very well overall. We really appreciated the professionalism of the Landscape Designer, Mr. Christopher Myers, in particular. He was extremely knowledgeable and informative on all the options and best methods to meet our needs. About mid-way through, we were so impressed with their work we actually expanded our project and Mr. Myers worked to develop a plan of action immediately which saved valuable time.

All the work site teams worked well with the existing infrastructure and landscaping. At the end of every work day the team cleaned everything up nicely. Our neighbors have been impressed as well. I am very grateful to Peter Rhyne, who worked up a very nice landscape design plan and also arranged to have the work done in a very short amount of time in the middle of a very busy Fall planting season. I started late and wanted to get the front yard landscaped so that the new sod and plants will be well established prior to cold weather. Peter made it happen.

He came to my house himself on the morning of the project and the Production Manager also came to make certain that everything was there that the crew needed. The three man crew who did the job was - every man - excellent. It was a pleasure having them on site. I am extremely happy with not only the finished product but also with the process and with everyone at Campbell and Ferrara who participated in doing this project. Campbell and Ferrara is my go-to landscape design and plant nursery. They are amazing! Thank you Peter Rhyne and your associates at Campbell and Ferrara for the work you did for me.

I stopped in today to get my two orchids repotted. The gentleman who helped me gave me so much information about how to care for these plants. Excellent service! I will definitely be back. If you want someone who is knowledgeable and provides superior customer service I strongly recommend Campbell and Ferrara.

I needed a few unique rocks for the yard and found them here! I was expecting to pay A LOT more.

The entire Campbell Ferrara team did a great job - from the excellent design provided by Butch to the hard work done by Inmar and his team over a few days in our yard, we got a great-looking complete retrofit of the front side of our home. Great follow-ups as well ensuring that the watering goes well and we're happy with the results. I highly recommend this excellent company!

This review is way overdue. Jim and Donna Campbell and their staff (recently Peter Rhyme) have done an outstanding job on our landscaping. We have had a porch with portico built, underground drainage for our yard completed, and most recently right before the pandemic all of our outdoor uplighting redone. Thank Goodness it was completed in February because we have certainly used our outdoor space since March. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about all things plants, lights, and landscaping. Thank you for allowing me to enjoy my outdoor space!

I would not recommend them. The landscaping they did for me was done poorly. A number of the plants were not planted properly. Holes were not dug properly and plants were placed on top of the soil then covered by mulch. In particular they planted a tree improperly such that the roots could not grow. The tree has done poorly and they would not replace it. Very disappointed.

Butch Whitton and his team helped us solve a difficult drainage solution with beautiful landscaping. I would highly recommend them for a permanent and ascetically pleasing solution to basement flooding. Knowledgeable and solid customer service.

Very bad services and no respect for the customer. we spent a big money for a horrible landscape plan which was never done and it can not be used. Happy to give more information if you need it.

Very disappointed in customer service and follow up on getting an estimate on landscaping. We were prepared to pay for top notch service, didn't get. Will go elsewhere.

Campbell & Ferrara provided a level of customer service virtually unknown these days. Working with C & F was like working with good friends. From the first phone conversation to the last -- a follow-up to ensure everything was perfect. We put 'astro-turf' in our small back yard eight years ago. We kept clean but never did anything much more.

It was looking a bit frumpy. After researching care and feeding of fake grass-I discovered C & F and their rehabilitation service. Perfect! They worked with my schedule, very accommodating. The result? My turf looked, felt, and even smelled (I have two Boston Terriers) wonderful! I will not wait another eight years to get a turf rehab from C & F. Will be a habit now : )

We asked for estimates to replace our old wooden garden walls with stonework so the walls would continue to serve as attractive embankments for the hill and gardens behind them. Campbell & Ferrara's was considerably the best in price, details and materials, with all questions answered quickly and professionally. The crew who did the wall was the most exceptional of workers in every way, from meticulous craftsmanship to an eager consideration of any input from us.

We just cannot say enough about them, as they were the very best we have had in detailed workmanship and artisan skills which made their layout of the stonework remarkable.absolutely peerless. The caring and responsiveness of the supervisor was also extraordinary, with his personal consideration given to any request while ensuring what he planned also met our expectations.

He was a professional and personal pleasure to work with, from his ability to work out details to managing a myriad of items that ensured the final product was absolutely superb. It was just great working with him. In short, we had a great team, from beginning to end, and the result were stonework walls that people constantly comment upon for their incomparable appearance.

We wanted to replace our existing flagstone patio but also asked for suggestions regarding a new design for the steps to the back door. It was a trickier request than any of us anticipated. Laura Shaub came up with a very creative design that also maximized the usable space on the patio. Also, even with some new plantings added to the design, C & F provided the most reasonable bid of the three we solicited. Laura closely supervised the construction process and was responsive to our concerns at every step of the process. The final product is attractive, sturdy, and convenient, with lovely landscaping. Highly recommend.

Wow! Laura is the most incredible designer and customer service advocate we've encountered. We gave her a general concept and she came up with brilliant ideas, and a look we're thrilled with. She's creative, knowledgeable and focused on what we want, not what she wants (I know, a novel concept). Installation was on the hottest day of the summer, so she came by multiple times after to check on the landscaping to ensure the heat wasn't too much for the plants. When we told her we wanted bee friendly plants, she did research to ensure all our plants would help the pollinating friends! Will definitely not go anywhere else.

Our main reason for choosing Campbell & Ferrara was the excellent service. She cared for our job as though the work was being done at her own home. We will definitely recommend your company to others who asked for referrals. Thank you for everything!

We bought our cut tree from the lot at Campbell & Ferrara. It is a nicely shaped tree, but it is extremely dry. The tree only absorbed a small amount of water after we brought it home, because it had been cut so early and it was dying and drying out. I expected a fresher tree from a nursery and for the amount paid, but that was not the case. It was my first and last "cut tree purchase" from Campell and Ferrera. Don't waste your money at this nursery, find another tree farm or tree lot.

Great Customer Service, esp if you are waited on by Rose the Mgr. I observed her friendly, helpful demeanor as she waited on another customer. She was able to answer all of my questions and I returned later to make my purchase. Quality of plants and stone far exceed other places and prices are reasonable. I will be a repeat customer.

What can I say. This use to be a great nursery. However, they are currently selling off all stock because they are moving (apparently).

I am making a serious effort to be more domestic this season. I've always grown a few standard herbs, some tomatoes, and a couple jalapeno plants. But this year I decided to double the number of herbs, nix the tomatoes (three years in a row of frustration), and add in some edible greens like chard and mesclun. I didn't grow up gardening, however, and husband and I live in a high-rise condo with a small balcony that gets tons of bright, western exposure.

I needed help navigating this new(ish) world. Campbell & Ferrara to the rescue. I was *thrilled* when husband and I drove around back (use this entrance, don't park up front) and saw how enormous the facility is, and just how much stock they have. A hundred times larger than any big box store, and it all looked a hundred times healthier and more vibrant.

I headed straight for the edibles. Suz, the friendly staffer tending the herbs, really walked me through my plant selection and answered all my questions -- are there any herbs that can't tolerate six hours of direct sun? are there herbs I shouldn't plant with others? how tolerant are delicate baby lettuces to tons of sunlight? -- quite patiently.

It was clear she was very knowledgeable, and when she giddily told me how thoroughly excited she was for me to start getting my herbs and greens into planters, I knew we had come to the right place. When husband and I then went in search of a flowering annual to fill a hanging wall-basket, Nathan stepped in to provide artful assistance. We explained we wanted something that would grow downward and fill out.

He pointed us towards several options, and we ended up rather happy with a delicate phlox. On top of the extensive selection and friendly, well-informed staff, plant prices at C&F are wonderfully reasonable. Full, healthy herb starters and flats of greens are only $3, bags of one cubic foot potting soil only $10. If you're looking for pots, seeds, trellises, planters, pavers, garden furniture, or outdoor decor, C&F has you covered there, too.

After our excellent experience -- not to mention saving major moolah -- at independent C&F, I don't see the need to go back to Home Depot for my gardening needs ever again. I'm actually really looking forward to coming back in a couple weeks for my pepper plants. Gardening Geek win!

The selection here is impressive and the grounds are beautiful. I can't speak to price as I have no real basis for comparison, having not purchased plants in the area before. Unfortunately, though I wandered around (surely looking rather lost) for at least 10 minutes, no one came up to ask if I needed any assistance. I could have found someone to help me, I've no doubt, but it would have been nice to have felt a little more welcome. I wound up not buying anything, but I may return when I have more of an idea of what I want to do with my yard.

I have shopped here for potting soil and a couple of plants. I've had great luck with the plants I bought- the manager who helped me gave me a lot of informative advice and I followed it and have not killed any of the plants! : Their prices seem very reasonable, too, and I not only enjoy supporting a locally owned business but it's much more convenient to me than a lot of the really big stores- easy to get to, parking is easy, checkout is fast. I've had nothing but positive experiences here- oh, and their prices seem really good, too!

Ok, Wow! I am so happy to have found this place. This place has a very nice selection of flowers, specifically Orchids! I was looking for Orchids and ended up buying one in DC, because I was time pressed. I found this place when I went to eat at Bon Chon next door after I already made my purchase. I went in and was impressed with a nice selection of accessories, pots, food, soil, and they also have a discounted clearance section where my buddy got a nice Orchid pot for $6!

Normally $20 and up. They had Orchids priced $20 for a small, and $30-40 for large 2 stem Orchids! They were beautiful and you could practically get any color that you wanted. Now, I just wanted to see their selection, so I walked in, and the guy helped me identify which Orchid I had, and even provided a care sheet and explained how to care for them. I really appreciate the info and will definitely return and I highly recommend this place. If you have a car, it's worth the drive! They close at 5pm. RECOMMENDED!
