I locked myself out of my house and needed a locksmith to come out as soon as possible, so I called Saint Paul Locksmith. The person who answered the phone said the price would be a $40 trip charge plus $65, and I repeated my understanding of the price back to him: about $100. But when the technician arrived at my home, he said it was a $40 trip charge plus $65-plus, and that my kind of lock would require an extra $100 charge because of the difficulty involved in unlocking it.
It's just a normal doorknob lock, nothing special. It took him about 2 minutes to unlock it. For that, I was charged $205. I feel that they were dishonest about the price upfront and that I was overcharged for the service. I highly recommend going with a different locksmith if you find yourself in the same situation.

My interaction with the technician was great, he was professional and very knowledgable on car lock topic! What I'm going to review is his awesome customer service and his follow through. A great attribute to a business that you never think about until you're coming home from a backpacking trip dog tired and you're locked out of your own house. So he's on my emergency bookmarks now!

What an incredible local business. I arrived home from the holidays to a busted lock, unable to get in even with a key. Service was quick; called and was answered immediately. Technician came about 40 minutes later. I had accidentally locked my car keys inside my car when I was scraping ice off my car. Quick and easy process but cost me $185.00. This was the first time it has ever happened to me (my spare was inside my apartment and my partner was at work), so I wasn't sure price-wise if this was comparable.
