NM Solar Group

NM Solar has struggled to meet their obligations for our project. All timelines have been missed and continually pushed off. We struggle to get responses from the staff through email and phone calls where their phone tree always goes to voicemail that is not returned. Our project was signed in August, finally installed (and fully paid) in early December, and finally activated January 31st.

Within a month, parts quit working, taking a third of the system down. It took 4 weeks of constant calls to finally get their service team out and get the issue resolved (they even tried to cancel last minute). We are still waiting for them to submit the tax documents to the state which were promised upon purchase back in December. The lack of service and communication have made us recommend to have others look elsewhere if you are thinking of going Solar.

Installation took 6 months. Never answers their phones. Tax credit is cap. And we still have an electric bill and they guaranteed we wouldnt. Scam artists

After a lengthy installation process, we were happy with the solar production.for 9 months. Then the equipment failed. We have not had any solar production since October 8, 2021. The last two months we have had a solar equipment bill and an electric bill. NM Solar Group has never contacted us to explain the failure. We did receive a call from a third party. Apparently, NM Solar Group farms out their repairs. I am not happy with this company.

I am very pleased with the service provided by New Mexico Solar. The solar sales associate was very knowledgeable. After our meeting i felt very comfortable about going solar. Very pleased with the installation and the install crew. Love the way my system works and it looks great. Definetely recommend New Mexico solar

Contacted NM Solar Group to provide warranty service for my Sunpower system which was installed 4 years ago by a company that is no longer in business. My understanding is that any Sunpower installer is supposed to provide warranty support for any Sunpower customer, but NM Solar Group told me they only service systems they installed. I've gone to another installer and I will be contacting Sunpower to inform them that NM Solar Group refused to service my system. It's also a shame since I was trying to support a local business.

Below is my original review and after 15 weeks (they initially told me it would only take 4-6 weeks) my solar panels are finally producing power! After my initial review someone called me to explain some stuff and offered to send me a gift card for my troubles. I thought that was great customer service but that was about a month and a half ago and nothing ever came which I'm not surprised honestly.

If I could do it all over again I would have either went with another company or did PNMs budget billing. I will never recommend this company to anyone. I'm seeing nothing but good reviews on here but my experience hasn't been the greatest. I can't even get an update without having to ask for it first. When I do ask there's something new every time and somehow right after speaking with them I get an email from PNM.

Twice it's been because the solar company did something wrong with the paperwork and had to fix it before moving on. It's just strange to me how it only happens when I reach out. Did they actually forget to submit something and me asking reminded them? Idk but it's been about 2 months and week now and I'm still waiting.

I am so very happy with all of the assistance that I got from Trey to get this project started and Jasmine and Jessica are wonderful too. There were a few problems during construction but all were handled by the technicians as expeditiously as possible. The panels look fabulous! Can't wait to see how well they work! AAA+!

We've had solar roof panels from NM Solar Group since Dec 2018. When we noticed via the monitoring system that our solar power had suddenly dropped out a few weeks earlier, we contacted the service department at NM Solar Group and they were out within 2 days to replace the inverter that they discovered had failed. Prompt and excellent service! Thank you! Highly recommend this company!

Probably the worst customer service and communication I have ever experienced from a company. The install went well other than them staining my entire tpo roof red with whatever they used to mark their lines. Then the system failed PNM inspection and it took over a month to get sorted. I had to call and write them at least four times each correspondence to get a response.

The sales rep was great but their project managers simply are bad at their jobs. I then requested they install a valence to shield the mounts from view of the road as originally discussed and they wanted to charge me an additional fee. An easy fix that would have made up for the terrible experience. Not good! I'm happy to be producing energy on my roof but wow the experience sucked.

Well, hooray.we're finally up and running. I think these guys are going thru some growing pains but once I got to Josh the group has been on the case to get my system going correctly.they've promised me a financial credit.when I receive that I'll change this 5 stars.i paid for a solar system with back up batteries in February 2018.they messed up my batteries when installing systems and have not replaced to date.they are not calling me back at this point and the owner, Ryan Wallace, I made my deal with has turned the company over to his employees. Love Trey always got back to me whenever he could was on time for the appointment answers all my questions don't have a bad thing to say just love the whole experience so far.

Ryan Wallace the founder of the group came out to my house himself to do an inspection and be informed before he generated the quote in for me. The group was very professional and timely. I enjoyed doing business with them and I highly recommend them!

NMSG is excellent and I am happy that I selected them for my home solar project. After talking with Ryan and getting an estimate, I calculated that solar would pay for itself in 4 years time (your results might be different). Be advised that the State and PNM will be obnoxious and slow to finalize the project, but NM Solar Group handles all of this process and keeps you well posted on updates (they even handle the financing efforts if you chose to go that route). Overall, the entire process was a breeze and they treated me like I was their only customer. If you are tried of high energy bills, this is the place to call.

I would give 6 stars if I could! Every step of buying and getting my home solar system has been fast and easy, from the estimate, to the very reasonable in house financing, the permitting and instalation process went ahead of schedule the entire way, and the installation crew was professional and excellent. NM Solar Group exceeded my expectations at every level.

NM Solar Group installed a 6.88 Kw system on my house in January and I absolutely love it!

Worked with Ryan and the rest of the NM Solar team and they are stand up guys. They are also extremely knowledgeable about their products. I will be using them for all future solar projects without a doubt.

Ryan and the NM Solar Group crew are friendly and hard working. If you look, you'll see them driving around Alamo in the NM Solar Group panel truck.

We were drawn to NM Solar group because they are a local company in a sea of large national companies flooding Albuquerque in the recent solar boom. We were rewarded greatly! Ryan, the owner was extremely knowledgeable about the industry and great to work with. He worked with us personally, and was always a text message away when we had questions.
