In 1978, Ray Ellis started Rayco Construction and built the commercial roofing company on strong relationships and referrals. After nearly 30 years of running the company, Ellis sold his business in 2006 to Duane Nelson and Paul Janssen, Rayco Construction's current president and vice president, respectively.Nelson started working for his family's logging company, operating equipment and driving trucks, while most of us were learning to ride a two-wheel bike. Right out of high school, he began his career as a laborer putting on roofs. As his roofing career unfolded, he gained experience driving trucks, running cranes, watching over crews as a foreman, and eventually becoming a salesman.

Choosing the best roof system for the building requires accurate roof designs and specifications. Many roof specifications that we encounter have incomplete plans for the roof system. Instead of expecting change orders from your roofing contractor, we recommend that you start with a complete plan so there are no surprises.

Flat roof problems are like a puzzle; they are often not straightforward. Why? Water is cohesive (or sticky) and will follow paths until it begins to drip. You may have a leak that shows up 10 feet from where it originated. Our highly experienced repair technicians will be able to identify the problem.

Commercial shingle projects are much more complex than putting shingles on a house. Roof pitch, size of roof, hips, valleys, mansards, crickets and gutters all come into play when planning the best possible roof. Large-scale shingle projects should be completed with commercial-grade shingles and products.

Outstanding company that does great work at a great value! Top notch service with over the top dedication to satisfaction. Gabe and Ken and the rest of the crew are easy to work with and deliver results. There was an accidental issue during our roof replacement and I couldn't have asked Rayco to handle it any better. They embody a superior level of customer service.
The team has come back twice to check on some leaking that I though was from the roof, but was actually a plumbing issue. They were completely patient and understanding through the whole process. An absolute pleasure to hire this company.

This was the most unsafe company I've ever seen. 3 stories up on an apartment building throwing shingles and pieces of plywood off the roof. No CAUTION tape no spotters no one cared about the safety of the apartment tenants. An 8 x 12' board almost hit somebody. Even When Tony the boss was called 2 times he didn't do much to help the situation. Now that they are done i have picked up 28 nails off the side walks so far. another safety issue.

One of their drivers maliciously attempted to drive me of the road, when I called to report it the owner told me to grow up and attempted to justify his driver's choice of road rage during a snowstorm. I would have to think that says a lot about how they would do business and personally would avoid using a company that condones this level of disrespect.

I hired Rayco Construction to replace an apartment garage roof with a new TPO roof. They educated me on the TPO product, came in at the right price and completed a quality job in a timely manner. I have also used Rayco for roof inspections prior to purchasing buildings which has proved very helpful. Definitely worth a call on your next roof replacement.

I have been a customer of Rayco Construction for several years and I want to commend them for a job well done! Rayco recently finished putting a new roof on one of our buildings. We did a TPO Overlay on an existing roof. This is one of two excellent roofing projects Rayco has done for me in the past four years. The quality of the installation was first class!
