Adam enlarged our return air system and sealed the plenum, replaced some old ducts with new, and installed a new HVAC system. For the first time in 30 years we now have good airflow for both heating and AC! A year later and all is running smoothly. What a relief after never feeling adequately cooled in the hot valley summers since we purchased the home over 30 years ago! Thanks Adam for taking the extra time to figure out a better design.

We were so happy that we reached out to Ellis Heating and Air for work to be done back in January. (Initially called a larger company who just focused on us getting a brand-new system.) Adam was helpful in his assessment and did the repairs required. It improved our heating tremendously! So appreciated his approach and expertise. He and his team are professional, and we were comfortable with them in our home. We just called for an A/C check - once again, great service and we are set for the summer!

Called this company and they were able to come out the next day, went up on the roof and looked at my no longer working AC, came back with a busted part, quoted me below $300, and had it installed within an hour!

There are many companies out there that will take advantage of you especially if you have very little knowledge about HVAC systems. I had consultation meetings with Adam, the owner, and Hector. These two gentleman are straight shooters and will give you an honest assessment of your HVAC system. I got several estimates from other HVAC companies that were definitely price gouging and taking advantage of the Covid issue along with the fact that you are in an urgent need to get your system running again.

I did HVAC design and cost estimating for commerical HVAC systems for several years. Make sure you get several estimates and have a friend that has a good understanding of HVAC systems with you if possible. If you don't have the luxury of getting multiple estimates and/or a friend to help you out, then give Adam a call. I was informed by other 3rd party entities that Ellis Heating and Air Conditioning is a company that does great work and a company they trust (word gets around for those that work in this field). Do yourself a favor and give them a call; you will be glad you did!

I don't think I've ever left any Yelp reviews but Adam and his team definitely deserve one. They recently replaced my entire HVAC system in record time (half a day) and for an extremely fair price. Before he did so, he explained all the options, pros/cons but was also extremely practical about the best solution. Yesterday, I noticed that the AC unit stopped working, only a couple of months after the installation. Adam came first thing the next day (this morning) and pinpointed that a part wasn't working properly - through no fault of his installation.

Sometimes parts just go wrong, that's why we have warranties! But he went above and beyond by coming first thing in the morning, pinpointing the issue, getting the part and fixing the issue - all in the same day. At no charge. Adam is not only the best Heating and Air guy I've ever hired but one of the best people I've ever hired for anything. Would give him 6 stars if I could :)

I wanted to try a different H & A Company so looked on Yelp. I saw all the positive posts about the Ellis Co., so gave them a call. I was given a two hour time frame between 8-10 am. I asked if it was possible to have the appt no later than 9, as I had to leave at 10. Hector showed up at 9, and did a thorough check of my AC unit. He took grid off the top that covers the fan and vacuumed out the whole inside of leaves, and debris.

The last time the other company I had used came out, I asked if they could please vacuum it out. The guy said there was a slight crack on the edge of the cover, and it would probably break if he tried to remove it, so he didn't. Nothing broke when it was removed. Hector made a list of everything that might be an issue down the road but for now said it was running well. Thank you again so much, and I will continue to use your Company!

Adam and his crew replaced our HVAC right before the heat wave started. We have brand new carpet, so I was a tiny bit worried, but they were meticulous and left the house spotless, not a trace of dust or anything. They were in and out in about a half a day. Adam helped me get all the paperwork to finance my nee energy-efficient HVAC through SMUD. He is extremely professional and goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done well. I would recommend him to anyone.

An unbelievable difference between our old and new ducting system. The coldest of mornings we would write it off that it just wasn't going to warm up downstairs. Our HVAC system was easily rated for our home, but the ducting design was not efficient. Adam and his team within one day reconstructed our ducting and now the heat flows downstairs nearly instantly.

The days of bundling up in the morning to head down are over. With the increased flow, it also increased our operating efficiency and its running half the time. We were running our AC unit frequently because of the summer heat. We realized that the water from the condensation wasn't draining the way we needed it. Ellis Heating and Air came out, quickly diagnosed the issue and had a fix within the hour. They also offered other things that we could do ourselves to prevent the issue from happening again and ensure that our pipes didn't get water built up in them after running the AC all summer. They were friendly and efficient and offered to come back out if we needed anything further. I would recommend Ellis Heating and Air to anyone looking for A/C service.

Our house has a somewhat fancy thermostat, integrated with the security system. When it warmed up and we tried to turn on the AC, it wouldn't come on. After checking what few obvious things I knew to check, I called these folks. They responded quickly, showed up on time, and fixed the issue right away. A loose wire, almost too small to see, necessitated a return visit to fix the heat, but they did that quickly as well. Dan was very friendly, professional, and efficient. I'll definitely keep them on my short list of pros in the Sacramento area!

This is my to-go company whenever I have any problems with my hvac system. Honest, professional and reasonable price are key ingredients for any business and they accomplish them all.

Contacted two companies regarding air-conditioning not blowing cold air. Both companies diagnosed and found the same problem. System dry of Freon and a leak allowing Freon to escape. Repair estimates. Ellis $540 other company $405. Obviously I went with the other company to do Ellis was prompt and knowledgeable. They did not charge a fee for their service call.

This review is years over do. Ellis installed a unit nearly 6 years ago! It's still going strong! They paid serious attention to where all the air would flow in each room, made perfect clean cuts in the walls, and were extremely professional, timely, and priced right.

Our old HVAC system was not going to last another summer, so we did our homework and got several quotes and researched companies that offered financing. We needed a new unit on our roof and all new duct work, in addition to adding a duct to the furthest bathroom. Adam was confident and knowledgeable and explained what we needed and how he would accomplish it.

He also explained financing through his company. He came in with the lowest quote and did not price gouge with our older home and our crazy duct system and challenging crawl space. We were referred to Ellis Heating and Air from a co-worker who told us that the inspector said it was one of the best jobs he has ever seen. This referral, plus the price and simple financing (Adam took care of all the paperwork), made our decision to choose Ellis easy.

It was originally set up to be a two-day process, but Adam and his crew got it done in one day! The County inspection went smoothly, with the inspector commenting on how clean the work at the unit on our roof was. Communication was top notch. Any questions we had were answered promptly - via phone, email, or text. We would highly recommend Ellis Heating and Air to everyone!

Adam scheduled an appointment and was right on time. They quickly confirmed what a prior HVAC company had stated to be the issue- leaking coils. The biggest difference was they were on the phone immediately and tracked down where our coils were purchased, confirmed they were under warranty, and asked them to hold the replacements. They scheduled the repair work and again were right on time.

They completed the work, made sure everything was functioning properly, and cleaned up. They are reliable and offer reasonable prices. I have already recommended Ellis Heating and Air to my friends and family and have made sure to save their contact for the next time we need an HVAC company.

Ellis Heating and Air did a great job installing my new system. I got an excellent deal, they were fast and very neat. New ductwork was also installed and there was no sign of debris anywhere inside the house and all of the old equipment and ducts work was quickly taken away and the outside was left clean and tidy. Watching this company in action was impressive. The owner Adam was on site first thing in the am and NO time was wasted. This was a full changeout including ventilation ducts in the attic. The crew takes their job seriously and pay close attention to detail. It's obvious they have been doing this for a long time and they came highly recommended. In May, I turned on my AC and nothing happened. After consulting Yelp I decided to call Ellis Heating and Air. They were prompt with the callback making an appointment. Service Tech Steve showed up right on time and diagnosed the problem, a bad switch at the condenser. He was able to bypass the switch and get the unit up and running. So this week I thought it would be a good idea to have a new switch installed and call Ellis again.

After texting him the model info he got right back to me with an estimate. It was going to cost a lot to change out this switch because of the way this particular manufacturer built their units + removing and replacing the refrigerant. Like a LOT of money. But in discussing the situation with Adam he stated the unit would perform just fine with yearly servicing. Adam said if it was his house he wouldn't replace the switch, and that was good enough for me. When was the last time a service rep talked you OUT of spending a lot of money? Ellis Heating and Air has my business for life!

I was really happy to see a professional repair guy not try to sell me maintenance plans and just fix the heater. Adam's honesty was refreshing telling me what to expect in the future and fixing my heater quickly.

Our old A/C was dying a slow death so we decided it was time to change. We didn't know who to contact but was referred to Adam, and the crew at Ellis. Wow! Were we glad for that referral. Adam came by our place soon after we set the appointment and give us some straight answers. These guys put an entire HVAC system into my house this fall and were outstanding! My wife and I just purchased our first house which, being 60 years old, did not have any central heating or air system. Adam and Dustin ran all the ducting and installed a beautiful 2.5 ton Trane system to our house in two and a half days for about $6k cheaper than the other company who gave us an estimate.

We couldn't be happier with our system! It has worked flawlessly. Beyond that, the customer service was excellent. I worked with the owner, Adam, directly through the whole process. He did not try to up-sell me on things, but actually down-sold me on a couple things that were unnecessary. He was even able to save some time when running our gas line due to an existing line to an old wall heater and he actually reduced his estimate price because of it!

I felt like he was super honest and upstanding and had no hesitancy in letting him and his crew work in my house while I was at work. I couldn't recommend them more for any work you need done.
