The Magic Painting

In the summer of 1963, my 20 year old entrepreneur uncle began wheeling around his red radio flyer wagon full of supplies and painting his way from house to house down the neighborhood. As my uncle's business grew so did I. As a young adult, I was employed in his company and assigned to kitchens and baths and crew foreman.

He would say "The details and finishes needed particular attention here. You're good at that." or "Do you want to run a crew again? You're good at that!" When I launched my own business, an advisor encouraged that the name evoke something that my name alone could not do. Magic Painting resonated as it felt to balance being both inclusive like a common human denominator while simultaneously inspiring service, excellence and professionalism.
