Our experience with Martin and his team was fantastic. They did an amazing job on both our lawn and patio. From the very start Martin was very engaging. He presented his ideas in 3D format which helped us visualize the ideas presented and we quickly were able to finalize what we wanted. We are extremely happy with the end result.

From the reviews read, I decided to proceed with Martin at an agreed price and with a plan that we had already had drawn up from another landscaping company in the area. The job was done in spring 2018 and involved: Groundworks, drainage, laying hoggin path around the garden, vegetable patches, tarmac, decorative stone and plantings of tress and wild flower meadows across a 1 acre site. Martin subcontracted the groundworks and that is where problems began.
The subcontractor decided to dig down to try and remove a boulder - they had not requested permission, nor checked the ESB cable lines and had pulled out the cable line and disconnected the electricity - the sub contractor then had stated to ESB that I was the one in the digger and they sent the bill to me. Martin then requested that I sort it out with the subcontractor and I was left with a portion of that bill!
From the groundworks there was a large amount of soil required to be added - but the digger that was used by the subcontractor destroyed our percolation area from our septic tank and I then had to get the garden dug up and new percolation area installed. There was drainage works installed that piped over a stream and the subcontractor had dug a hole out close to where the stream flowed into the pipe that results in backing up of water in downpours that then has led to the front garden flooding over - before which it had never ever flooded.
So I have since then had to spend extra to correct this mistake - pipe and fill the stream correctly. Drainage channels were installed but they now create pools of water in certain patches of the lawn - I've then had to do extra work to introduce new additional drainage - digging up the new lawns that were laid to do so. The gravel patio installed also broke a pipe from the utility room sink that ran into a soakaway into the stream, when this was piped over this was blocked and then flooded the patio and flowerbed area - so I have had to reroute my plumbing!
From the soil that was introduced during the first summer, the lawns were not raked nor levelled, there was a huge amount of stones in the topsoil, after chasing this down, Martin agreed to come out and rake the 2 main lawn areas - which he did - but there are large spaces that you cannot get a mower into. From even some suggested contacts Martin gave me as his own recommendation for maintenance - they stated that it should have all been levelled and raked out to allow a mower to get in.
There was a boom of growth but not initially of the wild flowers requested, but instead of what looked in danger of being himalayan knotweed, I flagged this up to Martin to investigate and promised to come out and check it out - but then communication stopped dead in it's tracks. Thankfully - disaster was averted and it wasn't knotweed, but the invasive species that it was has meant the wild flower meadow we paid for is non existent. Also, the fact that from such a suspected issue being raised - Martin has not contacted me back since - tells of my disappointment in the level of responsibility Martin took on this job.
The gravel paths, patio and veg patch were not correctly filled with 804 base stone, not whacked nor weed control layered correctly in certain areas - they quickly sprouted weeds, and became like sandpits. I have had to replace the patio and now also the pathway redone properly at considerable expense The decorative stone area was not weed barrier lined correctly and allowed growth to come in from the side connected to another site.
The one thing I think was done pretty well was the tarmac drive, but I am awaiting my first problem with this and then I already know from the responsibility Martin has taken on correcting my issues to date - the promise of his 10 year guarantee is worth nothing So overall, despite being a hard worker, I honestly think this job was far too big for him and he totally budgeted incorrectly as he twice put up the price - costing me more than 40% than what he originally quoted me to and has since nearly cost me the price of the job again!

Martin designed the garden for us and presented us with excellent 3D designs first before we proceeded. We went with the 2nd concept he presented us, it was a perfect modern design and captured exactly what we were looking for and discussed. This was done quickly and efficiently. We agreed a price and a start date and Martin and his team arrived as scheduled and completed the job in a timely manner.
The team are friendly and work safely and keep the area's they are working in clean and safe. We are over the moon with the outcome and can recommend these guys 110%. We have decided to do some more work in another area and the team will be back to us soon to complete that.

The experience with Martin and the team was superb from start to finish. The initial concept was designed by Martin and presented in full 3D, which was great to appreciate the end result visually. Extremely impressed with the creative ideas. The team started the job as arranged and finish ahead of schedule, and we could not be happier with the final result.

Green Valley were excellent to work with, Martin had some great ideas and helped us develop a plan for our garden. Green Valley provided a great service and completed high quality work within a short time frame. The garden has been transformed, better than we could have expected and we are delighted with the result. I would highly recommend Martin and the Green valley team.

These guys are excellent. Come on site when they say they are going to come. Create a drawing of what your going to get. Complete the job quickly and do a really fab job. Extremely professional and the end result is more than I could have even imagined, exactly to the drawing which is pretty amazing!

We just wanted to take a moment and let you know how pleased we are with your work at our home in Greensboro, NC. We have received many compliments from our friends and neighbors regarding the beauty of our yard and natural areas. The hardscape patio that you installed leading to the natural area is breathtaking and provides a real flow to the yard.

Thank you for all of the time and effort you put into my yard on a regular basis. You always take time to listen to my ideas and then implement them beautifully in a way I never could. Every time I pull into my driveway, I have to smile at how wonderful the landscaping is and it's all because of the great work you all do. Thanks again!
