495 Garage Door

Our 14 year old garage door started was always a little creaky since we bought the house three years ago, but started making a banging noise when it was opened or closed. I was really concerned about taking time off work and spending a lot of money. I was really pleased that 495 Garage Door has Sunday hours. They came out on a Sunday with a four hour window and the polite and professional technician, Robbie, was able to diagnose the problem in about 10 minutes.

For those that care, he wore a mask the whole time. I was pleased that he did not recommend a new garage door; that may have been a sign of upselling in my opinion. Instead he showed me why it was making the noise, explaining the aging of the spring and bearing wheels and the need for two new reinforcement struts above and below the connection between two panels which were popping down when the door was at a certain angle opening and closing.

He took the time to answer my questions, explaining the problems and risks. He also came prepared to do the work the same day, which I really appreciated. The price was $950 including (labor was $200 total). I know it seems a little expensive, but the door opens and closes like it's brand new now and I know I can trust the work Robbie did. I strongly recommend 495 Garage Door.

Anthony was great! Very professional and he made sure I understood what was being replaced and why. He also gave me suggestions on keeping my garage door and opener in good condition. He went above and beyond by fixing a few other issues that were not related to my original service request. My homeowners insurance recommended them! I will use them again if needed.

Moshe was prompt and kept me informed of his arrival. He quickly diagnosed the issue with my garage door keypad and replaced it quickly and provided instructions if I ever needed to follow up with company. He also tightened up the screws on a loose front door knob, so thank you Moshe for going beyond your job description! Much appreciated.

They were recommended to me through the MyQ app which would normally make me hesitate but their price was comparable to other businesses in the area. They had the added benefit of being experienced with my existing system. The whole visit took 30 minutes and everything is running perfectly again! They were quick, on time and the price wasn't bad. Michael helped us a ton including recommending ways to help the doors run smoother and tips to keep the issue from repeating. 10/10

Rep was supposed to be on site between 12-5pm EST to provide an estimate. Slow communication and rep finally showed up at 5:31pm, but I had dinner plans away at 6pm. Slow responsiveness. Called to voice my complaint to management, but all I got were excuses. I do not recommend this company. Please shop around!

Call through our home warranty company on Friday. Moses arrived on Monday. He was thorough, explain everything with the various services. The prices were fair and he performed all services immediately, quickly and did a wonderful job. Moses was phenomenal and would recommend them for any and all garage door needs.

Appt. confirmed via text & was sent text when tech was on his way, with a link to get his name, see his pic, etc. Tech, Mike, arrived on time, with company truck, logo t-shirt, etc. He was professional & friendly, and took the time to explain what was going on with garage door and then fixed it. My garage door malfunctioned and my car was stuck inside. I couldn't open the door to get my car out to get to work. I called and they were able to get Keyon out to take a look. I didn't expect for him to be able to fix it too! Keyon was very respectful and professional. Hopefully, I won't have a similar issue but if I do, I will definitely reach back out to 495.

This company is wonderful. The technician, Robbie, is the nicest, most helpful person. He was polite and did a wonderful job fixing my garage door opener. The scheduling was very efficient and communications were really excellent - I knew when they were coming and easily changed an appointment time when something came up. I highly recommend this company.

My goodness where to start. We had a commercial door that needed repair. 495 said they couldn't do it cause they don't do commercial. Then a few hours later they said they can do commercial and sent out a tech. He didn't know what he was doing and after 2 hours and said he needed to come back. Ok sure, but i get a call the next day saying the cant come back for 4-6 weeks due to a series of excuses and left our door in a worse state than before they got there.

Clearly they were unqualified to work on commercial doors and just made things worse. We had to find someone else to come and fix it who said the whole door was totally out of whack. 495 refused to accept any responsibility at all. Typical crooks. Wont ever deal with these guys again.

Great work and responsive. Our garage has a very low ceiling, which can be tricky to work with -- I even had one installer that opted out because this kind of work is too hard for them! Well, 495 Garage Door knocked it out of the park. We replaced both motors and track on our two doors. It took about two hours but the technician was extremely fast, and very communicative throughout the installation. I would 100% hire them again.

Very responsive and provided a quick turn around time to get a technician out to my home to install a new garage door and opener. I contacted 495 Garage Door on Friday; the technician came to my home by Wednesday morning. They were able to provide me a quote after I sent few pictures of my space via text. They were upfront about pricing (which was very reasonable). Hollis (the technician) was great! He was timely, quick, polite, and left the space just as clean as he found it. Definitely would recommend!

WOW!.I would highly recommend 495 Garage Door for any of your garage door issues. They were sent to me via my Homeowners Insurance and their work is terrific. If you can request a technician, request David personally. He was so friendly and worked so fast to replace my left door spring. We laughed and joked the entire time; but he was professional and got the job done quickly. He even help me recode my garage door from previous owner (purchased home 1 year ago). Now that's the type of service I like. David was great!

On 6/28 I've had them come out to install my garage door. Everything was working fine until 7/1 and as I was closing the garage door I heard a pop and a big screw came out. Then the door kept rising back up and would not close and three more screws came out. I've called last night and left a message about our garage door, I've called this morning, and my husband has called.

No one has returned our call yet. Our garage door is coming off the hinges and three pieces came out last night. Please see the images below. To just be installed, we should not be experiencing any issues with our door. What kind of work is this? Nails are coming out of the walls in my garage and my door is not secured, the whole thing could have fallen on one of my children head.

I need someone to come out here today to fix this. This is a big problem and it is dangerous. Still waiting on an answer. On 7/2/2021 the technician came out to fix the issue with the garage, and came back out again on 7/7/2021 to ensure everything was secured and working properly. We are satisfied with the services rendered by the company. Thanks.

I was extremely pleased with service provided by Rob as he took the time to explain the system and quickly resolved the issue. He is obviously an excellent tech and will use this service again.

The technician showed up wearing a mask and arrived as promised, right on time. I liked that 495 Garage responded promptly and kept me informed throughout the whole process. The tech did a careful job replacing the spring on my garage door, working in tight spaces. He also went the extra step of adjusting a bracket in a difficult spot that hadn't been installed correctly the last time the door was worked on, an act that showed he cared about doing the job right, which totally sealed the deal for me.

Now the door works again, but smoother than before. I volunteered to hand him tools since he'd had to be up and down a ladder quite a bit as the work required. The tech worked efficiently as he could, which I appreciated, and cheerfully answered my questions as he worked, about maintaining the garage mechanisms. I will absolutely call 495Garage again if anything else goes wrong in the future. Being able to count on them was Great.

Michael came on time and give his estimate, I asked him when he can start and told me the following day. That was fast and he did it the following day within 2 hours. Great service and skilled professional too.

I NEVER do reviews because I'm a pretty tough customer but 495 deserves to be commended on the outstanding service and response time. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. My car was in the garage for a week and a half because I broke the pulley on the door. I called EVERY, and I do mean EVERY garage company listed on Google and Yelp in Frederick and a few in Gaithersburg. 495 Garage Door was the ONLY garage company that had the part I needed for my garage door.

I called 495 Garage on 6/17 @330pm. My garage door was fixed 6/18 (within 24 hours). The technician. Avi was extremely professional, explained what he was doing and why. He was so courteous and efficient. Shortly after Avi left, David with 495 Garage Door called to follow up on my service appointment. I was elated to see some companies still do follow ups.

I was already immensely impressed with 495 Garage Door but David sealed it. 495 Garage Door is an example of what companies should aspire to be. Highly recommend this company! We had someone hit our garage door while we were on vacation. I requested a quote here on Yelp and they came out the next day. We couldn't use the door until it was fixed, which was a pain with a baby, so I chose them on how quickly they could come. Rob came out at the beginning of the 4 hour window and fixed the door within 30 mins. He did a full garage door check on the broken one as well as our smaller side door. I'd highly recommend 495 as well as Rob!

I'm not even going to get into why I had to contact 495. Anywho, I reached out because I needed two garage door openers installed. Of course I simply came to yelp and found a few businesses. I put in my project details and received a message back quickly. Now while I wanted same day service, I doubted that I get that on a Sunday. Shiiiiiid, I was wrong. 495 came all the way through.

Not only was the yelp customer service amazing, but also the technician, Robert, was a gem. He's nice, knowledgeable and funny (and scared of spiders.ha). He fixed everything and now our garage doors don't wake up our baby OR the neighbors. I'm grateful to have found 495 and I look forward to using you all AND Robert. in the future.

The service provided by 495 Garage Door was excellent. The technician, Eliyahu, did a great job on the installation of the door. Customer service was superb in that they kept you informed of the status of your job order and returned phone calls in a timely manner. They were professional and courteous throughout the whole process.

Chris did a great job. He took the time to verify the sizing on parts which appeared the same length but were not. That particular check could have caused major issues later. I would recommend him again.
