First off, building a pool is an endeavor. Please do yourself a favor and do your homework. The pool building experience is long and can be frustrating at times. Weather plays a big role in the build process more than I could have imagined. After a serious amount of research, we landed on Carolina Custom Pools through a friend referral. Andy, the owner, is a very much a "here is how it is" kind of guy.

He is not about games or gimmicks. He is not about trying to sell you. Andy is about trying to match pool capabilities, features and layout to your needs. Andy is about keep-it-simple and select items that are tried and true. I have a lot of respect for Andy when it comes to his core values. A pool can be a massive investment and you need someone you can trust who will see the build process through with high quality and an eye for your best interest including your budget. Andy did that beautifully.

For example, we ran into a rock situation where we had to bring in more heavy-duty equipment. Andy made the best of it; he was transparent with all costs associated and helped to try to stem additional budget impact. At the end, the impact was approximately 1000.00 far less than what Andy could have decided to charge (if he so desired). The pool he built was a traditional full dig with concrete shell.

We designed the pool as our own with exactly the layout we desired. The pool came out better then we could have imaged. Andy was there each step of the way on short notice for any questions and/or concerns we had. Andy cares about his clients. Andy cares about quality. Andy cares about your budget. It is hard to find people who are so client centric and want nothing more than to see the smile on your face when the build is done, and you enjoy your new investment.

I would recommend Carolina Custom Pools to build your pool without hesitation and will be (now and in future) a reference client whenever Andy needs to "show off his great work".

Called to ask if they place liners in above ground pools and the guy said no no I don't and then hung up on me as I was trying to ask if he knew anyone in the area that does. Unprofessional telephone Etiquette.

Andy was with us every step of the way. He always met with us at our convenience, sometimes before 7:00AM and after 5:30 PM. He was always available for questions and did not mind answering some of them two or three times. He had a huge selection of options, and he was able to explain things in terms we could understand.

I have to admit that even though I wanted to get a pool for the family, I dreaded the thought of having it done. But, from the very beginning, I was very impressed with the way you presented your business and the helpfulness you brought to our project.
