Their prices are reasonable and their work is precise and thorough. His estimate of time it would take to do the job was right on and he started a few days after I got his quote. He was even willing to work around my baby's nap schedule when working on the nursery. A true professional. Happy I found him!

We had Aura Design Build manage several remodels around the house. Once five years ago to re-do our bathroom, and the results were incredible. It was completed in record time (less than two weeks of demo and construction). Second time a few months ago (bedroom floor, garage door, cabinet upgrade). The work was done in the scheduled time-frame, and on a pre-determined budget, and once again it looks fantastic. Lucien spearheaded the project, he is knowledgeable and friendly. I don't love the project tracker website they use, but that is a minor gripe.

Aura Design Build did exceptional work on the bathroom and lighting remodel project at my downtown Austin house. The bid was extremely detailed, and they delivered all work smoothly on the promised 6-week schedule. The contractor, Jeremy, focused on delivering my requests while also recommending ways to reduce costs and improve design.

We had Aura Design Build in October 2014 do a complete remodel our kitchen and create a custom built media center. Aura came highly recommended by a neighbor, however our experience with them was not as easy and smooth. The remodel was projected to take 6-8 weeks and ended up taking 14 weeks! The delays were mainly due to their sub contractors incompetent workmanship, attention to detail, and poor scheduling.
The unqualified subs that Aura used had to repaint our cabinets three times, patch flooring twice, rebuild a pocket door twice, retouch wall paint twice after using the wrong type of paint, and rewire electrical work that was done incorrectly the first time. Each mishap on the subs part added days which equaled weeks of time lost and inconvenience for us, resulting in an unprofessional remodel experience for us.
With all that went wrong on Aura's part of the remodel, they did finish the job and made sure to fix the mistakes their subcontractors made. Aura did stay within our agreed upon budget and were responsive when we contacted them. We were very pleased with the media center they built, which was not a simple job. All in all, we have a remodeled kitchen are happy with. Our hope when we hired Aura for the job was we would have a professional company run the show, but it ended up we were fighting with them for the job to be done right.
