Had my installation a few weeks ago which went smoothly. Mike and Seth are super helpful and experienced which made the process seamless.

I called Seth at Island Security about a problem with our simple alarm system. They had installed it 20 years ago and it has worked flawlessly. When I called Seth this time, he diagnosed the problem and walked me through the fix --- 20 min. of his time over the phone. The problem was a dead battery. Seth told me what kind of battery to get on Amazon (7AH to replace the old 4AH). I ordered the battery, hooked it up, and, voila! It works! Thank you Seth. You have a great company. 10 star.

I interviewed four alarm companies, big national brands and local ones, Seth at Island Security was the only one who gave me a honest and reasonable bid. I feel he was really looking out for his customers to get the best value and custom care. Highly recommended.

I can't recommend Island Security highly enough. They are incredibly responsive, helpful in navigating the requirements for building alarms, and even supported us in trouble shooting intercom issues that predated their contract with our building. I am so glad I switched our account to them. We have saved tons of money and gotten incredibly better service compared to Cintas! Take it from me: go with Island Security and you'll never look back.

My husband and myself used Island Security Self storage for nearly seven years. Originally the business was managed by an islander and so I found the process of storing items to be friendly and relaxed as Island life was. When the business was sold, we were dismayed that our first communication was a rent raise. I sensed the new owners tried to be customer oriented. but it was until Laura came aboard that I found excellence and warmth again.

The office is now very available and calls are returned quickly and not through an answering service. when keys are lost and payments needing attention, Laura is very detailed oriented and attends to these issues quickly. Thus, when the owners hired Laura, they brought back the feeling of neighborhood along with excellent customer service. I give the highest grade to Island Security Self Storage under Laura's management.

The local Fire Marshall required that we install a monitored fire alarm system as part of a remodel project. We got bids from three companies and selected Island Security because they have a lot of experience in our local community and they were cost competitive. We were very pleased with the result. They installed the equipment quickly and painlessly, and they handled the inspection by the Fire Marshall's office. We recommend Island Security.

Island Security got me transferred over from ADT with no issue's. A tech came over on time and was very knowledgeable with the system we had already and was able to get us hooked up with Island monitoring in no time. I love that they are local and that I can deal with the owner directly. I got a quote for things that I wanted to add on to my system and the prices can't be beat compared to the company we had prior. Looking forward to feeling safer and taken care of for the years to come!

We've used Island Security for two houses and both times we've appreciated their professionalism, pricing and transparency. I have been a customer of Island Security for 23 years and I have had the same alarm system during that time period. I had a power surge in my home during a recent storm. My alarm system stopped working. I was leaving on a two week trip the following day. I called early in the morning and Seth was able to arrange for his technician to come to my home that day and make the necessary repairs to my system.

I was able to leave on my vacation as planned with a fully functioning system. I have had excellent service from Island Security during our long relationship. I would recommend them highly for the fantastic service and superior level of customer care.

I have used Island Security for several years in both my houses on Mercer Island. I recently moved again and called Island Security. Island Security came out quickly and gave me a fair quote. I thought about Comcast security but I am trying to "shave the cord" as many of us are trying to escape the tight cord Comcast has on me. Island Security came the next day after I gave the green light. They are very professional and now I have an alarm that makes me feel safe! Support small businesses!

We called them after some of our components were damaged from a construction project. They did everything they could to get our alarm system up and running ASAP. Mike the tech was tidy and respectful of our home. He worked until he tracked down where the wire was damaged in the wall, which was not an easy task.

They have been WONDERFUL to work with! They actually call you back if you need to make adjustments or add anything to your service. Due to my home remodel, they have had to come 4 total times to add a door or add another glass break. I can't imagine picking another company and I have worked with two companies prior that seemed to never be available. Seth and Mike are GREAT!

Called on a Friday, Installed on a Tuesday. Very fast clean service.simple, and easy to use. I've had alarms my whole life and this was one of the easiest companies I've dealt with. Exactly what I was looking for, I recommended Island Security.

I've had nothing but good experience with this company. Its great calling a company and having the owner call you back immediately asking how you're doing and if everything is ok with your system. I've recommended Island Security to two of my neighbors as well as friends and family which have also done the same to there neighbor and friends.

Bought a house with a security system installed, but no service. We had Seth give us an estimate. He was totally professional and honest. When his installer came out (Mike) he was so clean and precise got the job done, and made sure we understood the system, we could not be happier. We look forward to a long relationship with them.

I was a loyal customer of Island security for 12 years and now cannot believe that I stayed with them for so long. For over 6 months I have been trying to cancel my service since I no longer use it. I now have a cheaper and much more modern service. I have tried to cancel through email, phone, and mail several times, only to be assured that all would be taken care of. Instead, my credit card keeps getting charged and when I call, I am told that the owner will have to review my contract to see if "I am allowed" to terminate it.

After over a decade of paying them, this shouldn't even be a question. I am still fighting this (it started in Feb.) and it is still not resolved and my annual payment has not been refunded. Do yourself a big favor and use anybody besides Island Security.

Recently got an alarm installed and I could not be more pleased, I had ADT and had way too many issues with false alarms and not being able to get in contact with anyone, was told someone would be out and never showed so decided to support a local company! Mike was the name of the tech that came out he was very personable and showed me everything I needed to know along with answering my many questions.

I had forgotten how to bypass a zone and I called and was surprised to speak to the owner who was not only extremely helpful but so nice and very funny. Feels good to finally feel safe and to know that the owner actually cares and takes the time to interact with his customers instead of being put on hold and having to speak to someone from a call center. I give 5 stars for excellent service and for them not being pushy in sales, good deal and amazing quality! Thank you!

I just got an email that there was a comment made on this review (FROM 4 YEARS AGO!), so I look it up. I find it mind blowing that the owner decided to comment on my review now. Apparently it didn't matter at the time that his company provided the worst customer service experience I've had in 40 years, but now he feels the need to respond for some random reason.

And he says he is sorry that they couldn't please me. Maybe if they had reached out closer to the time of "service", instead of 4 freaking years later, I might have changed my opinion about their goals and motives. Just like my original experience with Island Security, it's all very very odd.

I recently had Island Security hook up monitoring for my warehouse in Tukwila. I called on a Friday and had one of there techs waiting for me at 8am on the following Monday. I've had ADT at other locations and have been quite disappointed in there not so prompt service and higher than normal rates. All in all I give this company a 5/5 and recommend using them if your looking to support a local business that is prompt and has better than average alarm monitoring rates.

We had Island Security install an alarm system for us in 2008. They were on time, on budget and did a good job. They explained how the system worked and we have never had a problem with the system or the monitoring service. The owner is a bit rough around the edges, but he gets the job done. My only complaint is that they seem to be a bit expensive.their 'trip charge' seems high, though I really only have 1 other place to compare to. I would use them again.
