I had an emergency repair that needed to be done (water pipe busted under a slab foundation). J&D was able to work me into their schedule and prioritize getting running water back in my home. Their dispatcher made sure I was informed about timing, their plumbers were there when they said they would be, and they were able to find specialists from their professional network to get the job done quickly and properly.

I didn't like him, because instead of giving me a quote for what I asked for, he gave me a quote for what he wanted to do. He told me to just vent my stove hood directly outside, instead of rerouting it to the existing vent like I asked. He stated" all they have to do is cut a hole" assuming, wrongfully that my contractor would do it. They won't, that wasn't our agreement.

He also gave me the highest price and didn't include the vent. I don't want my cooking oil vapor or whatever vented to where my cars are! He was also very curt, and rushed. I think his name was Bob, the owner. I cannot speak on the quality of their work, because I couldn't get past the funky customer service. Bye Bob!

I am the President of a 9 unit Condo HOA, and I have used J & D pluming often over the past seven years or longer. I was happy with the work they did for us and I got to know Robert and talk to him about personal projects. I had gotten individual trades people's bids and I thought I am just to old to play layperson contractor. I had talked to Robert over the years so I decided to call him and see what he could do for me. First, Robert speaks his mind and will not BS you.

I met with Robert three times before work started, 1 walk through project, 2 bid, 3 meet to reconfirm our understanding what the project involves and who it will proceed. In my case I was installing a whole house water filtration system and drain to service a 125 gallon aquatic turtle tank. A rescue turtle. Paint the room to my specifications, replace a door and lay porcelain tile floor.

From start to finish Roberts workers communicated with me often to ensure the job was going as I had planned, also Robert was on site for most of the project and days he did not spend time, he came at the end of the work day to inspect the work his employees had performed. Anyone going through a major renovation to a room knows it can be stressful, but the one thing that calms you down it the communication, the quality of the work and care to surrounding living spaces and job site cleanliness. You will not find my name on reviews, I save writing a review for the job that was as I had envisioned it, while making the process smooth and issue free. TJ Martin

I have used a few plumbers with mixed results over the years as I own several investment properties. I had a pipe break under the building of a fourplex which required having the water completely turned off. J&D responded very quickly and Steve, the service guy, was amazing. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue and repaired it quickly and solidly. Very nice guy and super knowledgeable. I would STRONGLY recommend them and they will definitely be my go-to plumbers in the future!

Recently had a Saturday am emergency and called JD plumbing. Robert responded immediately and was over within thirty minutes. Job was done in fifteen and all great. Very pleased and would definitely be using his co for any other plumbing issues going ahead.

J&d has been a vital part of our property management here in Long Beach for the past 8 yrs. they are always quick to respond to plumbing problems in the 3 old homes that we manage. They schedule appointments with tenants and the plumbers that come out are always nice and efficient. They have handles small jobs as well as very large jobs and we have never had any problems! Bob and his crew are amazing! We could not do it without them! Highly recommended.

J and D Plumbing did a great job snaking my drain. My kitchen sink was bubbling and backing up so I gave them a call and they came out the same day. This was my first time using J & D Plumbing and Heating and I was very pleased. I had two issues, a slow draining sink and a backed-up washer. Working with Diane to set up an appointment was easy. The technician arrived on time and was very thorough. He was diligent in making sure all issues were resolved before completing the job. He tested the washer several times. The cost for resolving both issues was quite reasonable. I will be using J & D Plumbing and Heating in the future and recommend you do, too.

Giovanni came to my parent's house to fix a main line clog. He sold them a very cheap toilet for a not cheap toilet. I'm replacing it today. He also said that he was going to run a camera down the line to see if there were any blockages. He told them that he would not charge them as he was doing it on his own time. Then he charged them $500 to do it.

Now mind you my parent's had already paid him almost $500 for the toilet. When my mother reminded him that he said it would be free he did recall the conversation but said he needed to charge them $250. Needless to say we will not be calling them again! beware

J & D Plumbing does way more than plumbing. They just finished putting a new roof on my 2,300 s/f home and did a superb job. Working with Bobby Mungo was a pleasure. He was professional and very knowledgeable. The roofing crew knew exactly what they were doing and were finished with the job in five days. What I really appreciated was the detail work they did.

I would not have known to ask, but they did it because they take pride in their work. Bobby came to me a couple of times to suggest they move or change something to make the roof (or vents, etc) work more efficiently. I thought they would charge me more money, but they didn't. The only extra charge was the replacement of some rotting wood, and all the estimates I received included this cost, should it be necessary. J & D Plumbing was very fair in the cost of the roof. They are general contractors, so before you choose a company to do any project at your home, call J & D Plumbing and get a quote. You will be glad you did.
