House Ants are only 1/10 inch long and reddish-brown to black in color. They nest both indoors and outdoors in a variety of places. Their homes are usually shallow and found beneath rocks, boards, or walls. House Ants travel in trails during the day and night, eating sweet food. Fire Ants are very aggressive and sting intruding animals and humans repeatedly.A single is ant is about 1/4 inch long and red in color; a large colony can have up to 250,000. They build mounds that are 1 to 2 feet in width and over a foot high. They eat greasy foods, meats, and sweet materials. Have you seen a shiny black spider that is 1/2 inch long with a red, hourglass shape on the abdomen?

We noticed some smoky brown cockroaches nymphs in the house and called Hickman's to come for a treatment. They came to spray once in December and left a few traps for us to put out too. We were still seeing these bugs, so I asked them to come out again in January. They sprayed and also did a treatment outside which we were grateful for. I'm still seeing these bugs though, so I called to see if they had anything stronger to spray and they said that we're out of the 30 day warranty window so our only option is to pay for their four seasons program.
We don't feel comfortable doing this because it doesn't seem like the previous treatments even worked. Hate to leave a bad review, but just want to be honest about the quality and service we've received.

I hired Hickmans after another company wanted to charge me $500 to treat termites that I could not find and I am a 22 year experienced home inspector. Tony York of Hickman's (an honest guy) came and found no termites. Hickman's is a trustworthy and respected company that I have never heard anything but good reports on. I highly recommend Hickman's and especially Tony York.

Tony York is such an honest man! The other company said my garage have carpenter ants and too moist in the crawl space and wants to charge me over 2.5K. I need second opinion. Tony inspected and said those are not carpenter ants according to his 25 years experience, and my crawl space is not wet and moist. He is just a honest person. He said he hates to waste people money when they actually don't need the service.
I said Tony, thank you for your honest, although we would not have business this time, but you earned my trust! And I 've recommended him to many friends who may need the service in the near future or right now.

I have used Hickman's Termite and Pest Control on my personal home under a termite warranty for the past 10 years. They are punctual and always pleasant when they arrive to do their annual inspection. I find that their phone representatives are always nice and efficient in answering my questions or when I schedule termite inspections for my clients.
The inspectors are always on time and often even a few minutes early. They are honest and I like using a local firm as opposed to a national franchise firm because this keeps their pricing reasonable. I am a Realtor and also recommend this firm to my clients most of whom end up getting on an annual termite bond program with Hickman's Termite and Pest Control.

Friendly, knowledgeable, reliable and efficient technicians supported by similar office staff. If you want some termite tech to show up in clean clothes call another company but if you are looking for a guy with knee pads on when he rings the door bell ready to go under your house and knows what he's looking for and how to proceed then call Hickman's for reasonably affordable assistance.

Initial visit to inspect and estimate$$ was the most through of the 3 I was considering. Examined inside and out, good explanaton of the work to be done. how, where, when, etc. Made a diagram to show me and the exterminators who came to do the job had it with them and already knew their plan. I felt the new what about the termite infestation, the areas of concern, how to handle the deep concrete pad (and alternative if drill wouldn't reach down far enough).
They were early, went right to work with. mnomum disruption and when they left I had little if any clean up. Also, unlike other workman, they knew the account, service plan, payment status and answered all my questions. Highly recommend for Cust Svc and competitive pricing for initial and yearly followup treatment.

This company's customer service is lacking. Just called to resolve possible double billing due to the fact that my company schedules inspections as third party. The nasty tone of their represntative was combative from the start without any explanation from me as to possible discrepancy. As a company that has ordered thousands of inspections accross the country for several lenders, I have never encountered such unprofessionalism. By the way, this is the VERY FIRST review I've ever written online.

I see there have been good reviews. I don't know what happened today. The technician didn't have any identifying factors to be let in the building and when I opened the door he said "What is your problem?" I seriously NEVER complain about anybody in any kind of service industry. I don't know if the guy was just having a horrible day or what. He couldn't seem to be rid of my situation fast enough and didn't have any interest in helping me understand why the mice keep coming back.
He told me that the building is old and has a lot of holes and until the owner fixes it, this is what will happen. When I said we've lived here for 5 years and never had a problem he said, "Well, you do now." Seriously?! So disappointing. He refilled a couple of old bait traps and left. Ugh.
