Carlos and his team are fantastic! We had them clean up our front yard and curbside planters and put in a patio and turf in our backyard. Carlos was very responsive to our inquiry, got us a very reasonable quote quickly and had his crew out on the job the next week. His team was respectful and hardworking and we are beyond pleased with the final product (and I'm not very easy to please when it comes to projects like this). I would recommend Carlos again in a second! Such a great experience - I wish everyone was like this!

It's my first year as a homeowner and I drive by their office everyday. So I gave them a call. Answered my call immediately and within a half hour there was Carlos one of Medina Lawncares representatives giving me my estimate. Wonderful, fantastic person talked me through the clean up process, all the treatments that will be applied and my quote. Couldn't have ask for a better price or service! Thanks guys Keep up the good work. Definitely recommend that wants to do a simple clean up or even if you want to go all out!

We've had this back yard project on the backburner for a few years now due to covid and finally decided to move forward this spring. After meeting with several landscaping companies we chose Medina Landscaping because of Carlos' professionalism and attention to detail. He was upfront and transparent with his estimate and was readily available to answer any and all questions we had. Juan and his crew were courteous and prompt arriving daily at 8:00 am ready to work. They did an excellent job meeting all of my expectations.now excuse me while I enjoy my new backyard! Highly Recommend

I have been using Medina for a long time. They are very responsive, honest, straight forward as they come. Carlos the owner is a great guy to work with which is why we keep having him come back. He maintains our lawn, landscaping and we just had him and his company install a nice patio. They got done with the work a bit sooner than expected that gave us the wow factor! We are so very pleased with Medina Lawncare. Carlos Medina, Jr. is a pleasure to do business with. My current low retaining wall around my flower beds was crumbling after 25 years and the new wall constructed by his crew is amazing -- and was done the correct way, unlike the other! I also needed new sod and he waited to install until the sod was perfect! I could not be more pleased. His crew was on time and friendly and worked very hard. I highly recommend this landscaper.

He listened to our ideas and designed our front and back yard. Our yard has been completely transformed and is beautiful. They also installed a new fence. We needed a spring clean up done on a very tight timeline. Carlos was very accommodating and fit us in on short notice. And the team did an amazing job! It was a lot of work but our property looks SO much better. And the price was right.honestly 1/4 of what another company quoted. Definitely give them a call for landscaping and yard clean-up!

I highly recommend Carlos Medina and his crew for your next landscaping project! Carlos was incredible to work with. After I called him to get a quote, he came out the next day and I received a quote via email within 24 hours. His work is impeccable and his prices are super reasonable. His crew was super friendly and responsive to my questions once the project was underway, even when making minor adjustments to the overall design as requested.

They made sure I was 100% happy with the design and finish. He and his crew listened to my ideas and vision for the backyard and helped me design a beautiful layout to maximize the overall utility of the space. Carlos was available 24/7 throughout the entire project, via phone, text, or email. No doubt, he's amazing with communicating with his customers! I love the new patio space and cant' wait to host my next party in the backyard very soon!

Best experience I've have ever had with a landscaping company, starting with the owner, Carlos, down to his hardworking staff. Not only was I impressed with the final product, but I appreciated his overall suggestions and landscaping ideas. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Side note, we decided to utilize his company to maintain our lawn, that's how happy we were with the overall product and excellent customer service.

Carlos and his crew did a FABULOUS job on our landscaping and artificial turf installation-we couldn't be happier. They took such pride in their job and were so easy to work with that I felt comfortable calling to get advice on the arborvitae they had planted for us. Within 10 minutes he returned my call and promised to look at it for me--even though he regularly drives by just to check on our yard!

It was starting to brown on the inside and he assured me that it's a normal occurrence in autumn but that he'd look at it and if it needs to be replaced he'd get me a new on that weekend. Really?! It was already Thursday! I am still so amazed and grateful. We know that anytime we need more work done (and they do such a variety of things) that Carlos will be the only one to call.

Fair price, work performed on time. No surprise charges and excellent work. I hired Medina to remove 200 feet of bushes on a commercial project I'm working on. Medina showed up on time, removed the bushes, ground out the stumps and graded the lawn as promised. I highly recommend

Lawncare should be the least source of headaches for a small landlord but Medina makes it the largest. Their quickbooks billing systems may work great for Medina but not so much for the client. The back office was largely unresponsive to my requests and my needs for more overt address based tracking reference. Separating invoicing by address and making payment from my separate accounts is a legal requirement for an llc. and becomes a bi-monthly nightmare with Medina's system.

The latest issue started at the end of Oct. I managed to get every invoice for the season sorted and paid out and then asked Medina to make sure they do a fall cleanup. At first they angrily demanded I pay in advance to which I agreed, then they pointed out that I was actually paid in full and all was good. That cleanup was never accomplished, and when a month later I inquired as to why, 2 new invoices for 280 dollars somehow manifested out of thin air and Medina caustically informed me that any further discussion need be had with their collections agent.

So come spring the lawns will be dead due to the leaves piled up all winter, and it's my job to again sort out their accounting. Oh and I have never really been blown away by the service anyway. Mowing and blowing a small Chicago lawn is not exactly an art. Customer service, punctuality and accounting performance are about all that is required. Try someplace else! Particularly If you have more then one account.

Our backyard project included replacing grass with pavers, building a retaining wall for extra seating, and replacing a small patch of grass with turf. The final results were more than I expected. Medina and his crew were able to bring my vision to life and they did so in a timely and professional manner. I highly recommend Medina.

I called for a quote on a fairly small project - never heard back. They are clearly too busy to take on work - especially because it is probably too small for them to care about.

I needed lawn aeration at my home so I reached out to five different landscaping companies leaving messages about my project. A couple companies called back and told me it was too small of a job and that they would only provide that service if I were a regular customer. Carlos at Medina was quick to respond and immediately quoted a price and time that he could do the job. Carlos and his crew arrived on time completed the job quickly and as advertised. Small jobs or large jobs I would recommend Medina to anyone. Thank you

Update: too bad they don't return your call if you don't have a bigger job or would like a more affordable option than what they quoted originally. We requested a quote for a low fence and gate in the back of the house and the quote was on the high side for the linear footage of installed fence. We requested a more affordable option and we don't even get a call back.

They sure were attentive the first time around they worked with us. Not very cool, especially for a return customer. I sure hope they are so busy that they don't need the business. We needed a wrought iron fence put in between our house and our neighbor (shared fence) with two gates to accommodate both side entrances and walks. Carlos and his team at Medina were recommended by a friend so we asked him to come out for an estimate.

He was courteous, well prepared and quoted a reasonable price. We decided to go with his company and couldn't be happier with the results. It's exactly what we wanted. Everything is top notch and works great. Excellent job. I would definitely recommend them for your fencing needs.

I submitted a request for an estimate through Yelp and they responded with: " What area are you in?" I responded telling them what neighborhood I was in and the cross streets. I never heard from them again. I guess they don't work in Old Irving Park! LOL!

Perhaps a Yelp review is the only way to get a response from Medina Lawn Care. I sent a check a week ago (which has cleared) for a spring clean up and have gotten no service at all. We were told that due to a "new policy" that we had to send payment first. Our yard is small, so it should take 30 minutes at the most to have everything done. My other issue with them is that when they came for service last year, they would show up at 7am.

My neighbor and I both work nights so we were not pleased about being woken up by mowers and blowers. We called the office about that and were told that "we'll come when we're in the area". Last I checked, normal business hours were 9am to 5pm and people in offices actually answered the phone. I would not recommend them at all!

I have had the service going on 6 years and have come close to cancelling almost every year the workers do a great job and are very nice, it's the office I have issue with they never answer the phone and you have to leave like 7 messages before you get a call back days later and there is always an excuse as to why they don't answer or return follow up calls, hire more seasonal workers and don't be greedy customers should be the focus. The reason I stay is because of the awesome lawn care folks.

We used Medina all last spring and summer with weekly lawn cuttings. There were problems. It is difficult to work with their back office. If it rains or their schedule changes they might not show up and they don't give any notice or try to re-book. We had to constantly be managing the service. Toward the end of spring we hired them to re-seed our front lawn and back.

They promised to put down fertilizer and something to protect the seeds, but they didn't even seed the first time they came out for this work and when they finally did they just threw seeds down with no fertilizer or protection. We gave up on trying to get them to do the complete job. Lastly, they scalped our lawn. We had an overly thick lawn when we started with them and by the end of summer it was almost all dirt. We thought we were hiring them to take care of our lawn not to just run a mower over it.

I called this place a few weeks ago for an estimate for a " spring cleaning" of my lawn and bush trimming. I had to call twice! The lady said in a few days I'd get an estimate emailed to me. On my second call the same young lady said she'd let the guy know who does the estimates again. Not even an apology! It's a month later.crickets!

I ended up with another company. They came by, gave me an estimate and did a very nice job! This place at one time was quite reputable. I'm not sure what happened to them. Not recommended!

Follow up a year later was great! A tree that was planted didn't quite make it over the winter and Carols sent his Team out today to replace it. We continue to be impressed with their customer service. We have one more little project for them to complete and I know it will be perfect! Thanks Medina!

Medina Lawncare did an excellent job installing our synthetic grass and provided top notch customer service from start to finish. The lawn looks incredible and we are really pleased with their hard work.

Within two days Medina Lawncare has given me a perfect patio. Carlos Medina listened to my ideas and concerns, he was friendly and knowledgable. After meeting Carlos I felt reassured I found the right company for the job, I decided to leave the design of the patio up to him and I couldn't be happier with the job!
