Goldin Solar

Very professional installation and the energy production has been as advertised for the first year. However, 10 days ago the solar production went down to zero. I went onto the SolarEdge website and after a remote troubleshooting, SE said they opened a case because the inverter needs to be replaced. Somewhat frustrating to lose power.but stuff happens and that's what the warranties are for.

We had a little glitch initially in contacting Goldin but since last week I have been called by the owner, Darrin Goldin, twice to assure me that a replacement inverter has been ordered and typically takes 2 to 3 weeks. Hopefully we'll be back to peak production and fully charged Powerwalls before hurricane season. I will update this review as soon as the the system is back on line. Update 6/16/22 Goldin technician arrived this morning around 9 and had the new inverter up and running within a few hours. By 6 pm both Powerwalls are fully charged. Well done. Goldin! I originally ordered panels in mid 2021 with installation expected by end of year 2021. After I signed the agreement communication suffered significantly. I constantly requested updates and information that I was not provided with. They would respond only when they wanted and only provide short responses and little to no information from what was requested.

On top of the delays, after I signed and was offered an offset of over 95% with the approved panels, engineering came back to reduce the amount of panels, I still disagree with their assessment, asked to speak to engineering and was denied that opportunity. My installation was then delayed until 2022, and it wasn't until May 2022 when they finally completed pre work and permits.

Even after they scheduled installation, only to realize they didn't even have the panels they knew they would need for my project; again delayed. During installation. Techs were friendly. Unfortunately they made unnecessary holes and other damages that they failed to properly repair even after multiple requests. Right now there's a current roof water leak causing interior damages that I've reported and hasn't been addressed at all; panels are still pending. Techs also left very dirty working areas, including trash and cigarette butts all around my property exterior; my wife and I had to pick up multiple times after them. Unfortunate, the entire experience has been very rocky, and although they say to be trying, their actions speak much louder than their short and sporadic words. as of today 6/2/2022 we're still waiting on interior wall damage repairs, interior water leak repairs, rook leak repairs, and even final panel installation. All of these were supposed to continue as of 6/1/2022 and have been no call no show twice now, with no response from anyone on the matter.

Love Goldin Solar! Love Having my System up and running. We got both solar panels and 2 Tesla Powerwalls. We interviewed about 5 other companies before we went with Goldin Solar. The sales team at Goldin was simply the BEST. All my questions were answered and I learned a lot about solar. We then went on to a Project manager who arranged on site evaluations and all sorts of permitting things. This is currently still a new idea for a lot of people, but going green with Goldin Solar is the best thing that we have done! I will recommend them to everyone!

Goldin Solar was very professional and responsive. They came out and surveyed the property and provided a proposal. They did the complete job in just a few days and cleaned up well after themselves. The panels have helped to reduce our electric bill and I would highly recommend them.

Since my previous post, Goldin Solar has been extremely responsive in fixing and rectify the situation. The CEO and managers called and spoke with my husband and I and we came to a great path forward, where Yesenia has been taking off our project. Our new project manager has reached out right away and provided next steps and timing. I am extremely hopeful that our new project manager will be a great experience. (Posted on Jan 25) The panel installation was awesome, just to establish that up front. However, I am extremely dissatisfied with the project management part. Yesenia was non-responsive and extremely difficult to work with.

We signed out contract on May 11, 2021. It is 9 months later, we only have the panels installed but no connection and no batteries. We have contacted her many times via emails and phone calls. crickets. no response at all. We tried to escalate, but only worked for a couple of weeks. then nothing again. We had been making all the payments on time, so that is not an issue. At this point, I just wanted our project to be completed! What do we need to do here?

I am writing this review due to the exceptional service we received from the electrician Luis Jurado. He was polite and courteous but that is expected from anyone you do business with. What made Luis "exceptional" was the way he took the time to explain things to us. I won't refer anyone unless Luis will be doing the work.

Liz at Goldin did a fantastic presentation and followed up with an honest appraisal. Unlike other companies that promised the moon, she said that the area we had would not be enough to charge the power wall and therefore would not make sense. That is so valuable and rare in a company! Highly recommend this outfit.

They respond quickly to inquiries and tech related calls. Installation was done over several days but it was unobtrusive and their installers left the place spotless. I keep referring Goldin Solar to my family, friends and co-workers. I would not have so if I didn't think they were a a-one company. Great value and I stopped worrying about the monthly FP&L email with the ever increasing bill

Going solar can be a daunting decision but Daren took the time to explain the materials, how the system works in various scenarios, and helped to not only maximize our system but plan for the future. He was mindful that we have modest incomes but were trying to be responsible stewards of the plant and wanting to pursue green energy for our home. Our journey has begun. Installation- ETA 2022! I had my Goldin Solar Panels placed in March of 2018. When I refinanced my house, I had not finished the remodeling on my house. But because I now had Goldin Solar Panels, the valued of my property was assessed at a substantially higher value. At the time I did not place a Battery back up, because I was advised by Goldin Solar to wait until the battery back up was at a more efficient level.

I was informed by Goldin Solar in 2020 that the new Powerwall Version 2 was available. I told Goldin Solar to proceed, and once again I refinanced to lower lower interest rate. I was blessed with very wonderful outcomes. 1) My home is now considered by the appraisers to be a fully integrated "Smart Home" and hence once again appraised at a substantially higher value than before, even though it still had the same square footage as before. 2) My monthly electric bills which were in the $400 to $475 ranges prior to the Goldin Solar Panels, dropped to the low $200 and finally with the battery's in place, they are now in the low $100 range. Making a transition to solar energy could have not been possible without the help of the Goldin Solar Team. We recently got our solar system installed and so far is performing phenomenally. Also, we really enjoy the SolarEdge monitoring app because we can observe the system production and consumption metrics. The team was very helpful all through the process and kept us informed throughout the process.
