Employees need to be retrained been buying doors here for over 20 years it's not the same

Terrible customer service. We brought 3 doors in and purchased 3 new doors that were to be cut for the hinges properly to fit in replacement of our old doors. One door was way off. We called them they set appt to come out to our house to fix it and make it right. The Friday mid morning they called canceled the appt an hour before due to arrive said they had nobody in the shop to come out.

We were told they would call back next week to reschedule. They never called us back. We paid for a door that was cut incorrectly the customer service is terrible, from dropping off old doors so that they cut them properly, which they didn't, to them refusing to help after loading doors into truck and stand around watching me trying to secure them in my husbands truck to be sure they were secure, to bring new doors home to find one was done wrong. We will not go back.

Lousy customer service. Poor and expensive service is not a good combination, aside from unimaginable delivery dates. there are no delivery dates. but that's if you have to pay 100% of what you buy so they can place the order. and paying is not a guarantee. I paid for everything and in almost 2 months they NEVER placed the order. They gave me a door with measurements that were NOT in the requested order and the NEW owner of the place could only say "IT IS YOUR CONTRACTOR'S FAULT, NOT OUR" he answered that having the order papers in his hands and seeing that the errors were from his workshop. but experience it yourself, go and compare times, prices and service. You will see that everything said in my experience is real. It goes without saying that once you pay for what you buy, they will NEVER respond to emails AGAIN.

Great guys and gals there. Rick always takes care of me and has the material I need to do the jobs I have.

They're actually my mother's neighbors but I have purchased from them before. Fair prices. Quick service, friendly staff.

We were told the doors were available and there would be a two day turn around. We paid for them on a Friday and finally called Wednesday afternoon. At that point we were told they were on back order. They asked if we wanted to wait or switch our choose of doors or wait. We asked to be credited back and cancel the order. At this point we were told that he didn't have authority to do that but his boss would be there on Monday and he would speak to him. Horrible communication. Since ownership has changed its completely different.

Customer service has gone to the dumps since the new owner took over and ran all the good old employees off. Very disappointing

Do not use this company. I purchased EXPENSIVE custom front doors from this company. After one month I noticed that the wood at the bottom of the door started to buckle. I called and was told doors were covered under warranty and will be replaced. It has now been over 1 year and I am still waiting! According to my sales rep, the doors are in and have been for months now, but they are just too busy to come out and replace them. Considering I paid over $2000.00 for the doors, I did not expect these issues.

Due to moisture that has caused the wood to swell, the doors now stick to the point that it makes it extremely difficult to even open the door. I have made several calls to the business, sent emails. and as of 3/14/21, I have not received ANY assistance, in fact it is just about impossible to even speak with someone about the issue. Needless to say this experience has been horrible and the customer service has been NON EXISTENT!

Fine craftsmanship. Always accurate to fit. We have gotten several doors over several years. That's why we keep coming back. It can take a couple of weeks to get your door.

Very helpful staff seems like a family run atmosphere say help me find some special hinges for cabinets I was working on.

My husband and I went to Capitol Door to replace an exterior house door. I was impressed with the friendly service, knowledgeable sales staff and quick turnaround on our order. For novice do it yourselfers, this place it the best. I will definitely be coming back for future projects.

Called this morning to inquire about two exterior doors. I was transferred to a female sales rep to place my order. As I was explaining what I need she Interrupted me by just saying no no no! She stated we are a custom door shop and don't have anything in stock. I said ok but I still need to get two doors made then. She very rudely replied you need to be specific you can't just say glass in the door.

She never once gave me an option or a chance to talk and just kept cutting me off. Finally I had enough and told her she was extremely rude to someone just calling to inquire about doors. Extremely poor customer service in my opinion. This was not my first experience with Capitol door. I have ordered many doors from them in the past with no issues.

In our current times with COVID-19 and most business needing to take place over the phone this was the worst experience I have ever had. With business slowing down you would think people would be happy to make a sale. I do home remodel so I use a lot of doors. From this point forward I will never use them again. The sad part is they will be loosing a lot of business because of one sales person. If it was my company that person would be gone!

We took in four doors to be remade (and changed to fiberglass) and when we received them back three of them were made wrong. We were not told that fiberglass doors come in shorter than solid wood doors that we replaced. We had gaps on three of the four doors. When I talked to the manager she was very apologetic for the mistake and contacted the shop manager.

The shop manager called and the next day he came personally (with another guy) to our house and found a solution to fix the doors. Which worked out because they are outside doors which are exposed to water. He even fixed our garage door that was having trouble closing smoothly. Thank you Capital Doors for fixing your mistake and going beyond that. This is why we shop and recommend Capital Doors to everyone!

I needed two doors. I attempted to purchase them at one of the big box stores. I thought by buying them there it would be less expensive and easier. Boy, was I mistaken! So glad I was referred to Capital Door. Linda was friendly and informative. Kelly went out of his way to make sure I got the right doors and they were set right. The customer service was excellent and the cost was minimal. I will never go anywhere else for doors. Capital Door has earned my business for life! Thank you for you expertise and kindness.

I have gotten two custom doors from this company. Each time they were very professional and personable. They built my custom door right in front of me and loaded it in the truck. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Also, their price was $30 lower than the big box stores and had a turn around time two weeks faster. Because of this company I look forward to opportunities to build custom doors.

Can't say enough about the help I received from Larry Scotten at Capitol Door Sales. We replaced a worn out and sagging door and sidelight that had been installed during the construction of our home in 1983-84. I had never paid attention to this door - it had been unevenly trimmed down to fit in the space available along with the sidelight next to it that was also trimmed asymmetrically by our builder!

My new door and sidelights were all trimmed symmetrically so it was not apparent they started out as three separate pieces. Kudos to Larry Scotten and Capitol Door Sales, Modesto, CA.

Best place in town, knowledgeable staff. Worked with Doug and Linda and both were patient with me and easy to work with.

Have very flimsy 1950's doors on my older home that needed to be changed out for newer solid core doors. I ordered one for a trial run and once the door arrived I brought in my door to have the old hinges switched over. They completed the process in just hours, same day, and it hung back up like it was original. Really appreciate the service and quality!

Agreed with previous comment. They didn't have what I needed but they got it for me and fast.

Whatever your are looking for they have it and if they don't then they can help you find it.

This is a great place to pick up cabinets, doors, and moldings. Incredibly friendly staff.
